- Seven months after an 8-year-old girl was kidnapped while walking with her mom in their Texas neighborhood, police released heart-stopping video of the moment officers busted into the suspect's hotel room and rescued her. Michael Webb, 51, kidnapped the 8-year-old girl on May 18 as she was walking with her mom in Fort Worth. As the distraught mom tried to fight him off, he was able to get the girl in his car and take off. She called 911 and police immediately went searching for the girl. #InsideEdition

A-A I can’t seem to find any sources to confirm that... I read one article that said he sexually assaulted her and was being charged for 6 counts of sexual assault, but nowhere have I found counts of rape.

Yeah, same. I saw a documentary about some special police kicking doors and going full send on some people but the second it was under control and they discovered a child one of them switched into daddy mode, put away the gun, took off his mask and was super sweet to her and she stopped being scared. That was really cute.
Just a rotten detail.. sometimes these monsters probably also use words like 'sweetheart' ...imagine everyone later who DOES really care about her and uses this word well intended.. can trigger emotions linked to all this.
This would probably happen more with victims that have been held captive for long period.. I just thought of this..

What this story doesn't tell you is that it wasn't the police that located the little girl. It was a couple, who lived in the area. Vigilantes that drove around to every possible place they could think of that was close, with nothing but the description of the vehicle that POS drove. They found the vehicle outside the motel and called the police. The police knocked on the door and talked to the kidnapper... and seeing nothing wrong, left. The 2nd wave of officers decided to go in force and saved her...
Wish they would have mentioned that. How amazing that couple!!

Exactly. Two different agencies with two different approaches and one successfully rescues this little girl. Not sure if it had anything to do with jurisdiction or not, but thank goodness Ft Worth was involved or this little girl may have not been recovered. From what I understand, the forest hills department actually searched his room earlier and did not find the girl. The police sergeant was fired as a result

The story is worse than you think. The Forest Hills Police Sergeant that responded to the first tip, actually talked to the suspect and quickly searched his room . He didn't see the girl and left. A second tip from a different person brought the Fort Worth police, and they found her. The Forest Hills Sergeant was fired from his job for incompetence.
Hope it was life without parole, this monster can never be released

The vehicle was the suspect vehicle and at the very least needed to be processed for evidence, which patrol is more than capable of at least securing the scene to accomplish. What I am hoping is that the officers left, but kept eyes on and called Ft Worth PD to have a detective respond to handle the investigation/warrant since it was a delicate situation and the originating agency would have more precise information for the warrant and would be more able to confirm the vehicle/suspect info.
Or, maybe even if they would've had enough for a warrantless entry due to the imminence and needed Ft Worth to respond to reach that level.

So, from what I understand, forest hills is where the baby got kidnapped, the police from there did the investigation and found the hotel, but it was in Fort Worth’s jurisdiction, so after a quick check, they handed over the information to Fort Worth to continue the investigation as the cops still had to worry about their own set territory, thus Fort Worth checked the hotel and found the poor girl. Please let me know if I’m wrong, but I think this is what happened.

Nope, the scariest part was that the forest hills pd found the suspect's vehicle and decided to do nothing so a police department outside their jurisdiction had to come in and do their job for them. THAT is the scariest part. WE KNOW that pedophiles will be pedophiles, but what we dont expect is for the police to find a pedophile kidnapper and decided that they shouldn't do anything about it.

Plus there’s always therapy for little kids. My older brother has a friend whose oldest child recently found a dead body of a little kid and her parents put her in therapy so she’d end up being okay since she talking out her trauma and not keeping it bottled up.

Lesson to learn from this video:
If someone is shouting their daughter got kidnapped, call the police immediately if you can. Don’t wait for them to. The fact that she had to make the call is ridiculous.
Having said that, she's the only one who can provide the suspect and suspect vehicle description along with her daughter's physical description and clothing description. A non-witness would not be able to provide much useful information.

That was amazing. Lucky and skilled cops made a safe and fast arrest. Everyone is safe and the girl is going to be ok. What an amazing ending to a terrifying crime.

I heard this story elsewhere and that he did indeed assault her smh. The only good thing about this is that she was found alive and that he will never walk the streets again!
8 years old. She probably had a somewhat normal life until a stranger took away her innocence. My stomach is turning from this. I would die just imaging what could be happening to my child while kidnapped

@Pill Smith OP probably means innocence in terms of her vitality meaning her childlike demeanor and that sweet innocent naive viewpoint that children often see the world in is more then likely destroyed or severely damaged.
I’m an adult and I’m terrified at that mans face. I can’t imagine how that child felt.
