- The rescue early Friday in Montgomery was captured in part on body camera video. In the video, a deputy is seen calling out to the children, who were accompanied by a volunteer who had found the trio.
Volunteer says “y’all wouldn’t let me in over there last night so I went around and searched all night” credit goes to that man for the effort he put forth. 👏
Dedicated ❤️
Exactly, that man need more credit in this case, I hope those kid didn't forget about his kindness either
@@thomasfoster2 No, they don't let civilians search at night, because of the dangers and then they would have to look for two people instead of one. You should think about going to the hundreds of anti cop and police hating channels if you want to bash the police. You will find lots of friends (thugs, criminals, and POS) there.
@@IcyBlueii They had the National Guard, police, volunteer dog trackers, and helicopters out here for 5 days looking for a lost boy. The idiots running the show, in their effeminate voices, told me and my buddies, who have been hunting the area all our lives, that we would have to go buy Patagonia clothing before we would be allowed to help. So ridiculous. Anyway, we didn't listen to them, split up into two groups, and headed out that same night we arrived at camp. Three of my buddies found him at daybreak and got their pictures in the paper. First rule, never stop locals from searching. Second rule, never believe that police are more capable than anyone else. Most of them are uneducated and out of shape.
Glad the kids are okay. No thanks to the police.
The volunteer who actually found them needed a little more coverage and praise.
Pretty sure the high fives from those precious children was all the praise he needed - his heart must be singing right now
I figure he could care less about the praise...that goes to God! Finding those kids unharmed is all the blessing needed! What a wonderful feeling just to be a part of that miracle!
Ikr the cop is happily accepting all the praise
I think they told him not to go out and search and he did anyways
I agree but I bet finding them is a reward that will warm him internally forever 🙏

I got lost as a child once, not in the woods it was in a big city and, this teenager found me crying behind a dumpster and he took my hand and said, I'm going to get you home buddy, it's alright. He spent 4 hours with me helping get me to a police station where they were able to figure out my mother's phone number and get me back to her. I don't remember his name or even why he decided to help me but, if not for him I don't know what would have happened to me. Thanks to people like him there are so many young lives saved.
This was nice to hear. Glad it worked out for you. Im wishing that person all the happiness in the world.
Teenagers are capable of such destruction and such selflessness. They really will be a public nuisance for shits and giggles and then fully lay down their lives for someone, no questions asked.
@@JoTheAnomaly just look at the neuroscience, the brain of teenagers is far from developed and can explain so many tendencies people tend to have and to as teenage.
Wow, the way I don't know this guy and wish him the best in life
I was put on the wrong bus as a kindergartner and at the last stop the bus driver kicked me off despite me telling her I was lost. Two teenagers found me and took me to their dad, who allowed me to use a phone. Thank goodness my grandpa had me memorize the house number a few days prior. It caused years of severe anxiety though.
That gentleman that searched all night is a hero. He’s the one that made that happen!
Indeed
I'm just glad that this volunteer was determined to search through the night and heard them all the way down at the creek.
Yes! He's also the one who asked for the jacket for the kids
It funny how they take all the credit the police doing his job the man that found then was just a God send
He didn't want any credit according to the news article: The man, who asked to not be identified, found the children around 9.30am about a mile from where officials believe they entered the forest, about 400 yards off a forest road in the area, in a dry creek bed. The do-gooder then called 911 and alerted authorities that he had found the children. The man told police that he preferred to remain anonymous as he want any public attention or praise for the good deed. Neighbors who know the man told officers that 'he's a quiet guy but always helpful.'
The volunteer found the children, not the policeman. Credit to the volunteer. God bless him.
Who said he didnt?
I love the ending of the story but how did they even get lost in the woods
God bless him, where was god when the kids got lost... imagine there terror... cased by a god allowing them to get lost...

Disaster averted!
I'm shocked at how composed and calm those children are. No panic at all, still in good spirits, encouraging each other, after a dark, wet, and cold night in a forest.
That first kid looked like he was thriving out there
I'm thinking the volunteer who found them probably restored or preserved their high spirits and the second man did a wonderful job of holding the atmosphere. Make them feel anything but in danger or in trouble
They knew they were saved, and their wee peanut brains hadn’t understood the gravity of the situation enough to freak out

He would become an extended family member if those were my children he found.
I don't have kids (yet) but I hope someone would do the same for mine
If I were their parents I would have been in those woods searching all night for my kids as well. Nothing or nobody could have stopped me.
Did that volunteer that brought them to the police offficer search all night ???? Wow!! Thats a real hero..he didn't even have a jacket or nothing
He had a sweater, which is like a jacket. The officer looked to be wearing a short sleeve, wow great heroism!
Thats what I got from this. The Volunteer found them and was bringing them out when they came across the officer
The volenter is the true hero here.
That poor little guy was having a tough time of it, I wish the terrain was a little better so the officer might have been able to carry him.
He wasn't going home to get his bed with kids out in the woods. God bless him...
Did the local community officially recognise the searcher's efforts and achievements? I do hope so. The parents and children will never forget him.

Im a police officer and myself and my coworkers worked through the night once to find a 91 year old woman with dementia who had wandered away from her house and into the woods. It took us over 18 hours of searching, but we amazing found her alive and well after the sun started coming up. Was a long and hard night, but of course the strongest of us all was the wonderful lady who prevailed despite being scared, confused, cold and alone.
I don't know you but thank you for not giving up!

i mean 18 hours isnt enough to kill a person even if shes 91, unless it was a particular very cold night.
Meh. 91 years is a good run, why waste resources.

This reminds me of an incident where I used to live. The lost boy, who was about 8, was a city kid who was lost all night in the woods. When the uniformed searchers found him, he didn't want to go with them because he had been taught not to go with strangers. One of the searchers told him they were going to take him to his mother. He replied, "How do I know you know my mother?" Street smarts all over the place. They got his mother on the radio who told him it was OK to go with the rescuers. No matter how scared he had to have been, he didn't forget what he was not supposed to do.

@April Volunteers don't care. We're just happy to do our part. No need for recognition.
@@nikolai3620 They may not need recognition but that doesn't mean they shouldn't get it.
@April You're making assumptions about a situation you know nothing about. those police could have been out all day searching. EVERYONE needs sleep. sleep deprivation + searching the woods at night is a terrible recipe for disaster. the other guy searching could have just been taking the next shift after his own rest. Plus its common for police departments to use volunteer hikers who know the terrain well to find missing persons. Your ignorant comment is what is shameful.
@@otherthan3509 I disagree. The last thing a true hero wants is to be regarded as hero.
The REAL hero is that older gentleman who was out there all night in the dark and already had found them and was bringing them back. KPRC SHOULD recognize him and let the family know about him. The cop or rescuers didn't even mention him to the other guy who said "good job" . This news crew got this story completely wrong

Everybody was out there searching. What matters is that they're safe.
@Jim Griggy - I believe the gentleman who found the children specifically asked that he not be identified, as he didn't want any credit or praise for his good deed. (That's not to say I think anyone else should be getting that credit if they didn't earn it).
@BAGELMENSK - I can only go by what I've seen said here in the comments, but apparently the search was 'called off' for the night, & pretty much everyone went home to sleep & were to resume the search in the morning. This volunteer (who found them) continued to search through the night.

I m soo impressed how cool, calm and collected the kids were after spending a night being drenched in rain and lost in dense woods. Pretty hardcore for 6 and 7 yrs.olds. 🙏
1:54 There was also a hero's cape here.....well done officer 👨✈
The volunteer found the kids, not the officer. The headline should be changed!
Regardless, its awesome they were found safe and sound!❤
Criminals always take credit.
They really should fire a lot of these “journalists”
Yeah its not like the police help people everyday or anything.
But what doesn't matter who found them they found them God-bless them
Doesn’t surprise me. Radio’d in like he found them. Taking all the credit.
Thank you volunteer searcher. You did a great thing finding those children.
Yes and amen
Yup they did God Bless Them Always 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@Evil PimpIk Thanks God they found them 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@Evil Pimp ? All he did was tell the kids to come to him. Not sure what you are triggered about.
@Evil Pimp I’m pretty sure he was just informing the other cops that he had located the volunteer with the kids. Although I did find it kinda strange that when they got out of the woods everyone’s shaking the cops hand and pretty much ignoring the volunteer dude

THE VOLUNTEER DISCOVERED THESE KIDS! Give the credit where it is due!
Yes. Bloody cop wanted the glory, blew off the true hero
This officer will watch this video when he gets old and retired and feel those shoulder taps and hand shakes like angels kisses...
THANK YOU volunteers and Police Officers! You know once they found them they would never lose them again.
Finally, a story of lost children with a happy ending. You get kind of bitter seeing stories of death and sometimes worse, seeing this video is a breath of fresh air.
I relate to that 100%
Yes. And now if you watch it it not as professional as you would like or think. Ow you know why the ending is tragic no appropriate training. And yeah these guys (Police and volunteer) were scared also for that reason.
Amen brother! 🙏
Great job sir you are very good with kids, you kept them calm and it's people like you that we need doing these types of things, and I hope you got a award
The grand majority of children who go missing get back home, and most get back home relatively soon. I hope that makes you feel better; it did for me. :)
The volunteer who didn't give up deserves the credit .
Yes he does, and he gave the credit to Jesus, ain't Jesus good?

Thanks to that volunteer, if not for his determination to go ahead looking all night out there. Those kids would still be missing.
I have spent nights in a forest stuck under a tree that fell on me while chainsawing. It is not a fun experience. The forest I was stuck in, in no ways was as dense as this one.
