I was white water rafting, got thrown in the water and was drowning. The water was throwing me around and pulling me down river when suddenly something hit my face. It was a rope. Standing on shore was a group of EMTs practicing white water rescue. I heard them yelling "real victim" and two of them grabbed me and pulled me out of the rushing water. I had water in my lungs that dissipated a couple days later. Those EMTs saved my life.
Kennedy, the last girl, her story will never not shock me. It's still so crazy how she got flung up there and was hanging upside down for hours basically by the skin (I think it was) of her broken leg. Absolutely wild
That must be devastating for them , hypertension is a horrible feeling, i so delighted that they were being rescued, i hope that they had learnt from this horrible incident. Never to run on frozen ice, it's safe, ice can be broken.

No, it’s not ironic that they were practicing ice rescues, it’s coincidental. Irony would be if they were practicing putting out fires. Then again, firefighters doing ice rescues at all is pretty ironic. You win this round.
