Tony Romo was my QB when he played, he's still my guy today, and he will always be my guy for life. He is my idol
🚲 I'm with you, brother.
One of the greatest QB
Same, grew up watching him since I was 7 years old. I miss watching him play so damn much. A lot of Cowboys fans never appreciated his greatness.
Till this day...
I feel exactly the same way! #9 Forever. If he was apart of the 90s Cowboys he'd have 4+ rings
I love Romo
I have been a cowboys fan as early as i can remember, and while I love other cowboy quarterbacks who actually won championships, Tony Romo is my favorite cowboys quarterback to this date!
My favorite of all time! Most under rated in nfl history
ROMOMENTUM! LONG LIVE #9 ☆
VERY GOOD!
WTF is this guy talking about he had more INT than TD in the playoffs? He had 8TD to 2INT, 62% completion & rate of 93%
"Turn overs" doesn't always mean INTS. lol
Tony romo is an underrated scrambler.
Exactly he is fast and one of the best tackle breakers and everyone is like tony Romo can’t run
That stuff he pulled off in the 2014 broncos game proves it
Tony always did it with class and never let the haters shake’m. We’re it not for a foolish call at Lambeau, who knows what his legacy would be.
You read my mind
In cowboys and those two really took em for a ride in 06 07
Tony romo
is amazing
Finally not a 12 minute video
When the chips where down romo would comeback and win romo was a master highest 4th quarter qb of all time
Romo was Great HOF
he's not hof lool
Just like joe Nameth was my dad watch em in the 60 when the jets got em
@@rodbtw 🚲 Hope your post is here to respond to in a few years after his enshrinement. I'm still looking for the guy who swore Andrew Luck would have a better career.
@@mikethebike2456 He didnt put up the stats to get in the hof, but they'll probably still put him in there because he was a cowboys qb
@@rodbtw 🚲 Cowboys are a 60 year old franchise but I can only name two in the HOF.
Idc Romo is the most underrated QB of the 2000s
Romo is a hof if Eli gets in and is a HOf if he didn’t have crappy coaches and a bad defense his entire career
Excuses Excuses Excuses
lmfao what? eli had a better career, not even a giants fan
rod. Uhhh maybe you should talk to his wins and losses
@@donovansolis8889 2 super bowl mvps is better than 1 all pro selection and a some early post season exits
rod. Bruh I mean he had a good defense and 90% of the time mvp goes to qb lmao don’t go by accolades go by stats cuz accolades means you got carried unless it’s ap or honors
So underrated as true QB
I grew up with romo
By far my all time favorite player! I love Romo
Romo is a Fucken beast!!! Period.... When Romo beat the undefeated Seattle Seahawks was awesome . The shoot out against broncos , the day he made jj watt fly off his back and threw a crazy touchdown. Too many great moments
Anytime your QB goes down and you cannot win a game without him you have a great QB. Prescott goes down and Cooper Rush wins 5 in a row your team is good. I think Romo was like 3-1 when he got injured and the team only won 1 more game without him Cassle and Weeden couldn't carry a team like Romo. He made Austins career, he made Craytons career, he made Dez career and Owens had his second highest career season with Romo He made Sam Hurd look legit he made Antonio Bryant look legit he made T. Williams look legit. Amari Cooper made Dak look legit.
Tony is great...point blank.
The fucking best
Dude, Tony Romo was a beast, to say his greatness is besmirched by his worst moments as if no other Greats had terrible mistakes ever. Please. Romo was clutch as fuck!!! And his numbers prove his mastery. He led that shambles of a team to those victories utilizing the tools he had available and got no respect during his tenure. A beast for sure!!!
When Tony completed that pass to Terrance Williams on that 3rd in long against Seattle that boss Af… man that Dez no catch robbed us of a nfc championship appearance at the very least
Favorite moment guess could be watching him best Lions in WC in 2014 one didn't watch I don't think but sticks out I'd him coming back with broken ribs to cowboys to OT win @49ers in 2012 or 2013 was impressive he just didn't have food enough talent around him make cowboys great or better but every season he was full starter didn't get hurt (or only for few games) they were playoff contenders so he made them competitive was to me a Great QB not just playing wise but like Dirk with the Mavs he loved the cowboys and Dallas and didn't ito play for any other team/franchise why he retired in 2016 after cowboys released him if he couldn't play for his cowboys he didn't want play for anyone else then I respect him for that 100% sad couldn't get farther than divisional round of playoffs but still he will ALWAYS be my favorite cowboys QB
Favorite romo moment was when he put JJ watt in the washing machine and then hit Terrance Williams for a 43 yd TD
The wild card game vs Lions 2015
I'm a Texans fan and I was at that game. All I remember is screaming in excitement absolutely sure JJ had that sack. What followed left me in complete shock and all the Texans fans there couldn't wrap our minds around what just happened
@@HAHAHAradio As a Tony Romo fan, I went Bananas lol
I remember that play that’s my favorite play of all time
The day my son was born. I was in the hospital room rooting on the cowboys.
Romo was definitely elite in my opinion, played with an average team majority of his career.
The 2014 and 2016 team were definitely his best teams he had his whole career.
Romo was great
He is my QB!! I don't even get so excited to see the boys since he left... Fckn miss him!!
I stand will always stand by the fact that if Romo had today’s O-line and defense Cowboys would have won the Super Bowl.
HE WAS GREAT
Do a top 10 of one year or one play wonders across all soorts
If Romo had been the starter during his last year and he wouldve won a superbowl
🚲 Nothing changed under Prescott. Number one seed blown in a loss to Aaron Rodgers. 1-2 in his first 3 playoff games.
And 2014 wen got CHEATED
Patrick Crayton once said that Romo loved the game so much, he wanted to throw passes in the offseason, when Crayton himself said “I don’t want to even grab a football during the offseason and this guy wanted to play catch”.
That's why Crayton dropped that pass & screwed up that touchdown run against Giants in the divisional game.
You can't place all the blame on Romo, the whole team didn't step up.
Best cowboys QB in history.
I would move him into great territory
There was just too much pressure on him in Dallas. Put him anywhere else in the league that had a decent team, guarantee you he would've won a ring, and future HOF. I watched him go stride for stride with both Mannings, Brady, Rogers, Favre, and Brees. Dude was highly underrated.
Most of the pressure he brought to himself though.
He didn’t go stride for stride with neither one of them guys u better go look at them guys stats them guys got 60-70,000 passing yards with 400-500 passing touchdowns with MVP’s and Super Bowls and goin to the playoffs more than 12 plus times and playoff wins Dnt u ever put his name in the same sentence as those 1st ballot legends
@@ilovejesuschrist9793 Um, I suggest you go back and watch the games he played them in. Dallas is a joke, treats there players like shit, and dumps all the blame on the QB when there losing. Unless your dak. Put Romo on anyone of those teams and I guarantee you he would've won a ring too. FOH. By the way, this is coming from a raider fan, and a family that bleeds burgundy and gold. No love for the cowboys here, but Romo was a decent QB that never got the credit he deserved. Just listen to him break down plays on the booth
Despite the play offs losses and all that Romo had one of the best arms a QB could have honestly he got so much criticism just because he was the cowboys qb but I bet if he had the cowboys team we have now Romo would have definitely won a Superbowl or would have come very close if not.
Tony romo was very good, even though the team went 8-8 he was so good that he kept masking all their issues. He never had a solid core for a long period of time. He has like 3 good teams while he was there
Totally agree. That ONE that he himself lost was in 07 against the NYG with a terrible throw in triple coverage with no pressure. The others were not on him.
They tried to relay on him for 16 full games to drag a horrible team to the playoffs and win.
Then the Vikings pounded him like 16 times in 09, then the botched Catch/No-Catch by the refs.
Dez and Austin, even Terrell Williams looked good because of this man.
You guys can remember Romo any way you want.I'll remember the guy who went and beat Rodgers in Lambeau. The guy that beat Wilson in Seattle. The guy that gave the Patriots all they could handle in Foxboro. The guy that got in a shootout with Peyton Manning and put up 506 on that legendary Denver defense. The guy that beat the undefeated Saints in New Orleans and put up 455 yards with pins sticking out of his throwing hand. The guy that beat Philly 3 times in one season with a broken back...and had to stand on plane rides so it wouldn't tighten up.The guy that was never even supposed to make the team and became the franchise's all time leading passer. That's the Romo I'll remember.
Rank every MLB teams Manager worst to first
He was so great, I named my son Antonio (Tony) and we all know his name was Antonio Romero Romo. He's definitely my QB.
Rank all NBA logos pleaseeeeeeee
I loved watching Romo play. Unless he was playing my giants
You're blaming Romo for team issues. Tony Romo was great. His supporting cast was the problem. Switch teams with Romo and Brady, and Romo is the one with the rings. Brady wouldn't have survived the O-line Romo had to deal with during most of his career in Dallas. Romo was never the problem in Dallas. He was the one who kept them relevant.
AMEN💯
Impressive in 09 4 straights win handed Brees and co Sainta first loss then after blanking Redskins blanked a red hot 6 in in a row wins McNabb and Co Eagles 24-0 showed who was nfc east champs no doubt then in Wildcard whipped them again 34-14 was 34-7 only TD they had was Vick one play td to Maclin before last TD very impressive he always will be my favorite Cowboys QB first I actually really watched and paid any attention to so
Do best and worst possible for each team this season!
Do best kickers in nfl # kicker are people to
Look at Romos Record against the NFC East
Fourth best Quarterback in Cowboys history, behind Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, and Don Meredith.
Now a video I can watch
That comeback win with an injured back was the most magical thing ive ever seen
He was a 4th QB to be sure
In my opinion his placement made Bryant look better than he was
True, because Dez obviously regressed and struggled when Dak was his qb
I actually think Dez and Romo were more of a perfect fit than a “one made the other look good.”
They were deadly with the outside shoulder pass in the corner of the endzone.
The game with the punctured lung
Being with the Cowboys is a curse. Another team and he'd be great.
He was a top 10 QB in the league for his entire career, arguably the best QB in 2011 and 2014.
Nah, eli literally carried his team in 2011. No other qb in the history of the NFL has won with just two of the three facts that I'm about to mention. 1. Bottom ranked oline. 2. Deadlast running game. 3 bottom ranked defense. Eli did it with all three lol. That is the definition of carrying a team. Romo is very good though
@@mojosiesta9821 bro his team showed up in the playoffs though. Their regular season numbers don’t do them justice. And I have a lot of respect for Eli Manning too but it’s just the truth.

@@mojosiesta9821 Facts - not to mention Eli setting the 4th Q record for TDs, GW TDs, game-tying/go-ahead TDs, and pass completions of 25 yards or more.

The man that made me fall in love with the game of football
Best moment? Comeback win in San Francisco with a punctured lung. 👏👏👏 Bravo
Super underrated and hated because he played for the cowboy's
🚲 played for the Cowboy's what ?
Tony was good just offense wasn’t the best
I grew up in the Dave Campo era which was just “atrocious” in Steven A Smith’s words lol... When Tony Romo came in as the starter in 2006 he gave us Cowboys fans hope and entertainment. Wasn’t his fault he never had the Oline and Defense for most of his career. I do appreciate everything Romo did. He indeed left it all on the line every Sunday. I am grateful for that as a life long Cowboy fan.
🚲 My sentiments exactly.
There is a similar video about him on YT that goes into more depth. He was mostly let down by his defense throughout his career and was straight up robbed in 2014 at Green Bay and of the MVP award.
I'm a Cowboys fan and my favorite moment is when he lost the snap and juked the other player
My favorite moment is when the ball snapped over his head and raced 2/3 Ram's players for the ball and he got it
And then he ran it for the 1st Down
@@kobebryant7082 RIP kobe :(
1,839 that's the number of career passing yards Romo has over HOF Quarterback Kurt Warner
passing yards dont matter. Warner has 2 mvps, 2 first team all pro selections and a super bowl mvp
@@rodbtw and a better team skid
Favorite memory calling Jaguars Patriots game week 2 2018. So much fun as an announcer
Man If he never had the worst defenses in the league and he’s body didn’t break down no telling what coulda happened. But a healthy romo was great. He won his last 18 of like 24 games. Just couldn’t stay healthy at the end when the team finally got good. If he came back in in 2016 we coulda won a super bowl if he stayed healthy
Tony romo was a beast and carried a sorry ass cowboys team for 8 seasons definitely the best qb the cowboys ever had.
Playing well in non-elimination games does not define your career as a QB. Playing well in elimination games AND being available for those games IS what defines your career. Mr. Romo was unable to do either of those things. Don't waste your time with a reply TR stans - I'll ignore it.
Tony Romo, the best quarterback to never win a ring. And remember this is a team sport. And romo can’t be the whole team. And the only reason all those back injuries came was because of carrying his team on his back for so long
Just because he messed up on a couple big plays, he was an amazing quarterback. Playing on a bad team with an average coaching staff, and getting injured lots is not his fault
He never really messed up
Every time we’d win he’d get praise and every time we lost he’s get blamed. Dude carried this team to the playoffs a lot of times when we shouldn’t have been there. 2014 the refs screwed him out of a ring and likely the MVP. #dezcaughtit
@@ST3Di03 heck yeah he caught it
@@ST3Di03 yep
The "botched" snap was a special teams error, not a QB error.
Someone needs to fact check the info in this video. He didn't become the starter until halfway through 2006 season. NOT 2005. He also had 8 TD passes and only 2 picks in the playoffs. He didn't have as many turnovers as TDs in post season. He fumbled 6 times but they weren't all LOST fumbles.
My fav Romo play is when the snap went over his head then kicked the ball then picked it up then ran left juked the man and got a first down
Romo was a great QB with a loser head coach and some top heavy rosters around him. Unfair to put playoffs solely on the QB
🚲 True dat.
better than dak prescott
My favorite team
If you 'Boys actually think TR is a HOFer ask yourselves the following question: How many QBs are in Canton with the following resume - 127 GS, 0 SBs. 0 SB MVPs, 0 All-Pros, 0 MVPs, and NEVER carried a bad team to the POs?? Until any of you can answer that, I'll ignore all responses.
Tony Romo didn't suck he was a great player people only said he suck cuz all they saw was him getting injured and not him actually playing the game
Most pass TDs in cowboys doesn’t really mean much tbh 😂😂😂. Iykyk
When he threw a great pass to dez Bryant against the packers in the playoffs and he caught it but they said he dropped it (i was there)😤😠😡😢😭
That was a catch the nfl is rigged its scripted all sports are and no I'm not a cowboys fan
@Nathan Penn its a shame that, at the time, they concluded it wasn't a catch. Mr. McCarthy said it was a catch at a Press Conference when he got on our team
Nathan Penn I really liked when the Niners ran over y’all in the NFC Championship game too
@@rcracer8872 how does that prove the nfl is rigged? are you dumb
Thats the year he would've gotten his Superbowl and secured his H.O.F spot.
Tony deserves to be in the Cowboys ring of honor for the trash O Line he had to work magic around for most of his career.
Facts yo I just wished he showed up in the playoffs more
Does that also apply to Russell Wilson?
@@wayanlantela8175 The ring of honor thing? Not really because Russ is probably gonna be a hall of famer when its all said and done.
Does that apply to Joe Flacco? I don’t understand don’t the Cowboys have and always had a great offensive line?
Condor Gaming did you say Russ is “probably” gonna be a hall of famer? Lol
One title and he would be a lock for H.O.F. Maybe 1st ballot.
Tony Romo was a great qb. He never had the support to get to the bowl. If Romo played over Dak he'd have got the Cowboys to the SB
Absolutely Romo is a HoF player. In most of his losses, not all, someone else screwed up and he had to try to do damage control. A perfect example is the 48-51 loss to the Broncos. All the headlines read that Romo's late in doomed the Cowboys while totally ignoring the fact that the Cowboys defense forced ZERO punts. The botched snap in Seattle? Just a few minutes earlier, the Cowboys had the ball and the lead. Until Glenn fumbled on the 4, resulting in a safety, and then only 4 plays later, the Seahawks had a TD. This had ZERO to do with Romo, but he still almost had a game winning drive despite someone on his own team screwing him.
The bottom line is that until the Cowboys had a pro bowl QB and pro bowl RB, with Romo they won 61.4% of the time (and a lot of those losses were not his fault). Without Romo, they won 30% of the time. All because of one player they were contenders. THAT is the definition of a HoF player.
Tony romo is a great quarterback if he had a cowboys defence like today he would’ve won a Super Bowl
Romo has had only 3 good teams 08 14,16 hes not bad injuries and a bad team in the beginning really held em back
His 2014 season he had a Superbowl team. DEZ caught it.
That was my favorite year of the cowboys but now the team is less fun
FACTS!!
@@tristanmireles8994 what u mean less fun
@@ilovejesuschrist9793 this was last year
@@tristanmireles8994 ok I understand that but it wasn’t never fun when but 2 years when romo was quarterback
Romos only problem was that he wasn’t an all-time great QB, which is what the cowboys needed with some of the o-lines and defenses they had through the Romo years.
He was an alright qb tbh but underrated is an overstatement
That’s my QB
HALL OF FAME
Most of the games Romo won were because of him! Had Romo had Aikmens offensive line they would have won 5 straight.
Am I the only one who thinks that Tony Romo always knocks on the Patriots in the commentators booth whenever he can
Wym?
Tony Wade I’ve heard him talk bad on Tom Brady and the Patriots when they loose
One of my favorite memories of tony is when there was a bad snap over his head and he got the ball and scrambled for the first down
I like when he got a bad snap to his right (i thing it was his right) and he just reached out and grabbed it had been practiced 1000 times.... oh wait it was... Romo had some bad centers snapping in front of him.
Best in the game freal he better then all these QBs
Tony was quite a fine QB! So was Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Dan Fours & Warren Moon. Neither of them won the big game either! Let's not forget..Football is a TEAM sport. From 2011-2013 Tony was pressured to scored everytime he took the field cuz his defense never could get a stop. Not to mention insufficient protection from OLine. And the Dallas offense racked a real ground threat til 2014. All of which factored in minimal post season success.
🚲 Don't be clueing in people on the finer points of the NFL. Allow them to judge solely upon Super Bowl titles.
I wish we had Romo with the team we have now. I don't know what happen to dak he's playing scared now days.
Much better than Dak Prescott ever could be.
Put Tony on 90’s, 70’s Teams Roger or Troy played with and the dude wins Super Bowl. Hell, even say Danny Whites early 80’s teams were supremely more talented than any Tony ever played with.
He had his ups and downs as a qb (what quarterback doesn't) as a broadcaster however i love him.
How bout when he came back in the game after he Broke a rib and punctured his lung. Dude wasn't great in big games but gotta give him props for that. Or when he went toe to toe against Peyton manning
Romo's career is the same as Stafford's career. Both have had great careers because they pushed themselves. Romo has never had a consistent defense and was always scrambling to make plays. The coaching in Dallas was about the as Stafford's as the only coach I trusted was Bill. The 2007 divisional round Romo gave a great performance but dropped passes and a hesitation from Patrick Crayton on the last 3rd down was the cause for the loss. Remember Eli won when his defense held the top scoring teams under 20 points. Romo gave everything for Dallas but the team was never consistent and with mediocre coaching
