Jesus every hit was absolutely CRUSHING. NFL now is basically two hand touch football.
That’s why there was a roughing the passer call that was literally a two hand touch? Lol
Facts they was hitting
Its amazing how much different it is in just 13 years
Pablo Escobar Yes, refs were trying to rig games in 2006 too.
That was Roy Williams making those hits...
It’s a damn shame the cowboys never won a Super Bowl with tony romo.
8 months late. But dawg they didnt even make an NFC championship game :l. It is quite the shame
@@Tazer183 Botched Snap, Crayton giving up on an easy Touchdown Catch against the Giants in the 2007 NFC Divisional Round, Romo Choking in the 2009 NFC Divisional Round against against a 40 Year old Brett Favre and the Dez Bryant Catch have Hurt the Team over the past 20 seasons
@@chandlersbryant4047 crayton what? Romo threw two picks against giants. Period.
@@iangoodisDMX He had 1 actually & if you watched that Pass he had thrown to Crayton you would've saw that he gave up halfway on the route and it could've been a touchdown.
@@chandlersbryant4047 I was at the bar watching
RIP Terry Glenn Couldn't believe it when it happened. I'm no Cowboys fan but I really enjoyed watching him play growing up
Anthony Apodaca respect
Now his son has passed away. The passing of his Dad was too much for him, which is understandable.
May they both RIP.
Huge Cowboy hater here. But I've got to show my respect. The man gave our secondary fits in the mid-2000's.
RIP MB III & Fasano now too.
Marian “The Barbarian” Barber will always be one of my favorite all time Cowboys. I don’t think he was ever given the proper recognition that he deserved. He ran like a beast and wasn’t afraid of doing whatever it took to get that extra yard.
Sadly, I guess he like other players had some off the field issues.
Shawn he was given a decent extension but didn’t live up to it and eventually went to the Bears I think
He was only good when he was 2nd string. Then when he started, he wasn’t as effective
Marion barber was beast mode before lynch. Go watch is infamous run vs pats
I was thinking the same thing lol Not a bad tandem of Jones and Barber
TheTastedFungus tbh I think that’s who Prescott needs Marion
@@mexicannightmare9759 L
VillainFlaco I like marion, but zeke is that and then some.
Barber was never the same after that 400 touch season
Marion Barber was incredible to watch, definitely miss his old school running technique
R.I.P 🙏
I remember this game like it was yesterday , romo was such an under rated quarterback and for a couple of years during his career they had a hard hitting defense unlike now. I still believe not putting Romo back in when dak started because of injury was the biggest mistake they have made in recent history. That team was finally built for Romo and they kept him on the bench even when they saw what he was able to do in one drive vs philly. Roy Williams was a hard hitting seconds player , was a shame they never were able to pull out a ring with some of the talent they had.
Agreed man. I was very surprised when they handed the reigns to Dak so quickly
2014 was a Super Bowl year for the Cowboys. Tony Romo was so great that year, Romo was a historically great QB with bad publicity and horrible luck. It’s a shame the Cowboys never won a Super Bowl with him, well at least he’s becoming an all time great in his new profession in commentating. Thank you Tony for your great years in Dallas!
Here on April 2020, this was still a very fun game to watch, and victory for the cowboys.
The way Romo slings it is beautiful! Two times in a row! 3:53
Throwing 15 yard outs to a future HOFer helps.
Growing up watching romo made you love the game. In the top 5 most underrated QBs of all time. Yeah he didn’t win shit but it took til the ass end of his career for him to get a good o-line and never had much of a defense to help him. Sure he was no Manning but he deserved a ring. I’ll always defend him to the bone when ppl wanna talk shit.
100% agree
But even Manning couldn't win without great defense in 06 and 15
@@josephensley9174 but Manning always had a stout O-Line wherever he would play
If Romo was on the team we have now he would get us to the playoffs every year at least.
Ahhhhhh bull shit Romo had a great team in 2007 and another 2014. He choked in the playoffs everytime 1-4. Dak Prescott will get us there least he never threw interception in clutch moments dak in 4 years has the same amount of playoff wins as Romo in his career. Dak put romo in the CBS booth.
Romo was one ring short of a trip to the Hall. He was that good. Lots of haters of him for various false reasons, such as calling him a game choker (reality: best 4th Q quarterback rating of anyone), calling him a December choker (best December QB rating of anyone), etc. He retired only trailing Aaron Rodgers in rating. That's right - above Montana, Unitas, Elway, Manning - all of them. MASSIVELY underrated QB.
Cortez Armstrong bro Romo and Dak are both great, chill
Cortez Armstrong I’m not so big on it and I like Dak he’s my favorite Dallas player.
Cortez Armstrong are you saying that Romo never received all of the blame whenever Dallas lost?? Cause if so you must have selective memory
Im a colts fan but i always respected and thought he is a hall of famer
@@nicolauscory2982 He was the only reason to watch for 10 years.
This game was a classic! After we beat the Colts, I knew we was headed to the playoffs. It’s a shame it ended the way it did in 06-07 when Romo muffed the snap in Seattle. Romo could never catch a break!
Those playoff losses are still continuing, idk why but I think it’s a curse
Miss watchin T.O play
Tony Romo was the man when it came to 4th quarter comebacks. You never felt like we were out of the game when he was our QB. He had some good players around him at times but he had to make adjustments to overcome horrible play calling. That sounds eerily familiar.
Until he became the on field OC and called his own plays. The OCs never held him back from doing so.
I miss Texas Stadium and that bowed field!
THAT'S MY BOY ROMO
I was at this game!!! It was my first Cowboys game!!! This was also Romo’s first home game as the starter!! When The Boys defense held on and sealed the win at the end it was one of the greatest moments of my life! I was 21. It was the best day ever.
They used to play alot more physical! way more hard hits and guys flying in with reckless abandon.. you wont see a game like this today
Texas Stadium had a charm that the current stadium lacks
ATT is way to fucking big and the crowd gets distracted by the ginormous fucking screen I have fallen trap to it myself.
texas had a soul
Was I the only one amazed by the big hits? Shit!
Slick Reynolds Roy Williams(31) was doing most of the hitting!
1:16
What an awesome play with so many nuances and a spectacular play all around by Ware
Great game. Love watching Romo and the boys
RIP Terry Glenn
Marion barber used to be nice lowkey lmao no one ever talks about him though. Fins up
He was the original beast mode
Romo vs Manning could've been something. These guys sling that rock when they see eachother.
Whole lot of turnovers going on!
BTW Peyton Manning scrambling?! I almost forgot he had some athleticism LOL
EDIT: That was roughing the passer?! Oookay...
so happy i grew up watching these games
I miss the old Texas stadium 😔 I like the new at&t stadium but the history and tradition was with the old one
Just watched the 2006 SNF Cowboys @ Panthers game. Tony Romo's 1st start. The young Tony Romo didn't disappoint.
2:25 OH MY GOODNESS
That's 41 Terence Newman who also started at cornerback. I never thought he was as good as his tens of million dollars contracted, but he stayed in the league until September 2018, starting nearly continuously if I'm not mistaken (was at Dallas 2003-2011).
4:59 Newman ridiculously blows coverage
shitt he was prolly suffering mild CTE with that hit earlier
Vanderjakoff sucked.
Roni Junio Pereira They hit a lot harder back in the day lol. Nowadays even if there's no helmet contact, a hard hit is a penalty smh.
The Cowboys kicker in 06 was terrible
Ironically, it was the Colts former kicker Mike Vanderjagt.
from the point he got liquored up on, he stunk
This is my favorite comment because it is 100% factual.
Thats because he missed the game winning kick against the steelers in the divisional round the year before! Like blair walsh he went downhill quick
This would be Vanderjagt's final game for the Cowboys, after he missed the kick in the divisional round he mentally was never the same, after this miss in this game I think Bill Parcells and the Cowboys released Vanderjagt.
This was the first Cowboys game I ever attended. I was 12 years old, I got used to disappointment real quick in the Romo era haha.
I was at this game. Love manning. I was 11 years old. Thank you dad.
The Cowboys completely broke down and exposed the Colts as a fraudulent second rate team at best. After this loss they literally were set back psychologically and never fully recovered even years after. One of the greatest displays of dominance of wills ever shown on any level of history. You could say, 'once the Cowboys broke'm they stayed broke.'
Pure brilliance on the part of Dallas.
Colts won the super bowl that year mate....
@@d2axe7 don't know what drugs this guy is one. He apparently lives in an alternate reality.
Colts won the Super Bowl that year.
Romo was a dam good qb ,frick the naysayers!!!
2:23 T-New probably played the rest of the game with a concussion.
3:03 looking like Roughing the passer in today's league
Such a weird season (and great one obviously) for the Colts. Even after this loss, they were 10-1 going into December and were in prime position to get the #1 seed and home field throughout the playoffs, but then lost on the road to all three AFC South opponents that month and ended up dropping to the #3 seed and not even getting a first round bye, with a big reason being run defense. Then Bob Sanders came back from injury, the Colts D was rejuvenated, they shut down the Chiefs at home and the Ravens on the road, then got to come home for the AFC championship after the Pats upset the #1 seed Chargers in SD, and you know the rest.
Bob sanders was that defenses motor for sure
2:23
Holy shit 😂 the modern nfl would literally publicly excecute him for that hit today
Man these guys hit back in the day
3:03 That roughing the passer call was way ahead of its time lol
No mater what kind of season Dallas has had The Cowboys have beat alot of Superbowl Champ's in regular season now we are back winning playing games!!! Let's go Dallas!!!
#BigGames
Only not to win one in a long time ourselves thanks to clapping jason Garrett and al Davis-with-@-symptom-called-senile Jerry Jones😣
MAN!!!.. those were the good ol' days, oh' how I wish I could go back!!!
Room deserved an amazing team and at least a couple of Super Bowl rings. It’s a shame he never got either.
One of the very few times the Colts lost that season. A very close and even matchup on both sides. This was a nice football game to watch.
Clad we still get to watch all these games!
1:16 I remember cheering seeing Ware coming unblocked towards Manning here. Can't believe it's been 18 years.
Love ur channel
Romo is the best
Not better than Prescott
@@devincollins9726 Cmon. Prescott can't move, see, or throw. He needs actually-great pieces around him to hide how mediocre he is. Romo was a chess master and Ace Thrower. Dak will be lucky to get a contract after this upcoming one he doesnt deserve.
@The Duke Average rushing output and overall defense around him were factually bottom third in the league over his career. Dak inherited the best line, most productive back, HOF TE, studly defense, etc.
@@stevengarthune9802 dak can't move? I guess romo could huh, you sound like a hater

The amount of huge hits in this game is crazy
Watching Peyton Manning go under center at the 2 yard line with a 5 step drop back...man I miss the old days. Real shoulder pads with real hits and offenses had to earn it. I’m a cowboys fan btw
Real football!!! I miss hearing #31 Roy Williams hits echoing throughout the stadium, in high def sound!!
Roy Williams was such a hard ass hitter
3:58 did anyone else notice the ticker?? Lee Evans was cooking!
Romo was throwing the ball on point. Manning too but Romo had this one. Great game. Took colts out of the unbeaten ranks too.
Romo almost took Peyton out of a unbeaten record in 2013 also.
Jones was the workhorse but Marion Barber was the closer. The original Beast Mode.
Great video 👍👍
I remember watching this game, it was my first NFL game to attend and I came away ecstatic when Dallas beat an undefeated Colts team.
It’s crazy how they played the game so differently back then, compared to now. And did y’all see the block Addai did on Ware @ 7:08? He was an excellent blocker.
Agreed
Naz Idoura Crazy how fast sports evolve.
That O line was holding like crazy. If it were today they would have thrown a flag every play.
COWBOYS do need badass quarterback like Romo
Got one its dak Prescott
As a ‘boys fan I enjoyed this game!
For Browns-Broncos, can you upload the 1987 AFC Championship game AKA "The Fumble"?
Matthew Shortle the reg NFL channel already has it on their playlist.
No, it was the Drive (1986 AFCG)
ruclips.net/video/C_EW5sJRKWk/видео.html
Who gives a _ _ _ _ about the browns ? Worst NFL team ever .
It was the Cowboys defense, offensive line and running game that won this game but Romo fans give Tony Romo all the credit like he did it with the rest of the team playing like crap. When in reality when the team around Romo struggled Dallas did not win much, where as QB'S like Peyton took many Colts teams to the playoffs that had bad offensive line, running back and defensive play but when the Colts defense had a healthy Bob Sanders, Freeney, Mathis and decent running game Peyton Manning won a Superbowl not even a Colts or Manning fan but it's just the truth.
@@danielminton9056 I put more of Dallas loosing on HC "Special Olympics" Garrett. I would love for Garrett to coach pop warner, high school, & maybe college. But Garrett was & IS the reasons why Cowboys were less than successful for 9 straight seasons.
Garrett has a high football I.Q. but Garrett has ABSOLUTELY NO KILLER INSTINCTS / FOOTBALL INSTINCTS..He's at best a time manager. If Romo was given either a better HC or the ability to call plays / audibles like Peyton Manning, Cowboys would have won more games & had more post seasons. Romo is probably football's best student & master of
all facets of football. Romo can read defense on the fly as fast or faster than 95% of his contemporaries. Romo has a very accurate, strong, effective, quick release arm. Romo had the weakest teammates compared to Peyton Manning or even Dak Prescott. Romo isn't the highest paid sports announcer for no reason & he's getting paid more than ANY QB in the NFL currently.
Well have to wait & see if Prescott re-signs with the Cowboys & see how great the Cowboys can be without Garrett.
I was at this game and loved every minute of it
RIP Terry Glenn #83 and the barbarian barber #24!! 😪🙏🕊💔
Man I miss seeing Tony playing
Can I point out that people criticize dak for turnovers, but I've watched this game for 2 minutes and I've already seen 3 turnovers. And 2 were from romo.
This was tha yr Romo took over as starting qb...tha guy was still figuring shit out.....geesh!!!
Yeah in 06 turnovers were a common part of the game for a qb. In 2016-2021, if you turn it over a decent amount while having the best pass blocking oline, you're trash. Rules are so easy now and dbs play far back. Prescott just throws jv high school passes most of the time.
The Broncos (Manning) vs Cowboys (Romo) game was way better.
Romo outplayed him that game as well.
Romo also beat a 13-0 Orleans. Romo had an act for turning it on against undefeated teams.
TR was great, and what an inspiration!
Can you upload Cowboys vs Jacksonville Jaguars 2006?
Roy Williams was a thumper! He was a beast when he played SS but his career was never the same once Woodson retired and he moved to FS
He was, but he also missed a lot.
He only played with Woodson for like 2 years. Williams was a top safety in the nfl for 5 years in a row.
2:25
Daaaaaamn. He nee sum miiulllkk
3:05 Personal foul, roughing the passer. Eat your heart out Clay Matthews, Dallas was drawing bogus personal fouls before it was cool.
Memories!
So many great players on this team. Damn I miss Roy Williams 😂
Romo is one of the best regular season underdog QBs.
That's what I'm talking about!!! Waiting for the cowboys VS colts game this sunday!! Let's win boys!!👍👍👍
And y’all got your azes whooped 😂😂😂
That roughing the passer...cmon
Yep. Phony penalty.
Barely brushed him
Barber was underrated as fuck back then
Man when is the last time we've seen the Cowboys' defense hit like that! It's been too long.
so much good defense and big hits back then miss. Miss football like this. After about 2011 the game changed. Weird how back then averaging 22 or more points a game on defense was below average today that's average
Romo NEVER HAD A COACH EITHER
I like that you showed some defensive plays. Too often highlight videos only show big offensive plays or even mostly just scoring.
definitely thanks for the little plays really give you a better feel of how the game actually went
Funny how at the time of this game the Colts were still in position to get the #1 seed, of course this loss was one of four road losses, the others to all three AFC South rivals, that ultimately sent them down to the #3 seed, but we know it all worked out in the end.
Leading up to the game everyone picked the Colts that week & no one gave the Cowboys a chance that day. I was a nervous wreck the whole game because Colts was unstoppable that season. Cowboys showed what they were made of this game!
Great times
Romo was throwing that Football!!!!! DC4LIFE BABBBBYYYYYYY
'A Romorific' Upset 😂😂 REALLY MAN
Please post the Romo injury games! 2011 @49ers 2013 @Redskins
Almost everyone says Romo didn’t have a defense, well this defense looks pretty good!
Every defense looks OK once in a blue moon. Consistency is another topic.
Liam Kemelov Romo had a shit defense for most of his time in Dallas. Not many teams that go to the SB with a shitty defense. That's why Brady and manning had very successful careers because they always had defenses to help them.
You watch one game and think his trash defenses were fine? Lol they were average for his first few years, but his second half of his career they became horrible to the point of becoming the 3rd worse defense in nfl history and worse defense in cowboys franchise history.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 it's been two years lol. I was just trolling! chill
5:55-Wow, Vanderjacht missed 2 FGs.
He was cut a week later because Parcells thought he was too mouthy for a damn kicker. Never played again after that. Guess he was a pain in the ass.
Manning threw two interceptions in this loss-gets NO BLAME.
A few years later, Romo throws 5 touchdowns for 500 yards and an int while a team mate stepped on his foot. He gets EXCORIATED!
That's the life of an NFL QB, win and your mistakes are forgotten - lose and your mistakes are magnified.
Manning got his team into the playoffs 15 out of 17 healthy seasons , got to 4 SBs , won 2 of them, won 5 MVPs , and set and reset several records.
Romo , as talented as he may have been, came up short ; and being the QB means you get the bulk of the praise or blame when it's all said and done, whether it's deserved or not.
@@robertmurdock1848 that's the life of a Romo. No other qb gets ridiculed for such things as described in this comment.
Little did Phil Simms know that Romo was gonna take his job in the booth!
My dad said he was in the endzone that the game ended in, he said him and his budy had never yelled any louder
3:05-THAT IS NOT ROUGHING THE PASSER!! EVEN BU TODAY’s standards!
How do you start 9-0, finish the season 3-4, and then go on to win the Super Bowl? How does that work?
That was one of the best defense that Dallas ever had behind 2003 defense.
Romo loves upsets
Jim Nantz's first game with Tony Romo?
That defense hit hard under Parcells.
