    Ah yes, I remember the days of the 8-8 ‘Boys. Every week it seemed like you never knew which version of the team was going to show up, but somehow you just had a feeling they would find a way to play up or down to their opponent. After letting the Mark Sanchez Jets come back on them in prime time, they had an amazing win against the eventually semifinalist (should have been in the SB, Giants got lucky with the muffed punts) 49ers, then a game where their only offense was Dan Bailey FGs, then their *first* collapse against Matthew Stafford’s Lions (this is not to be confused with the game from 2013 where they let Calvin Johnson go for like 300+ yards, this is the one where they had a 27-3 lead and lost) then this game where they hung in there just long enough to make you think they could pull it off, only to throw it all away at the end. Man these teams were so frustrating to watch haha.
    Worst part is, in spite of everything that happened, they were 7-4 and had the division title in their hands until Garrett iced Bailey in Arizona, and Miles Austin lost the ball in the lights against NY the next week. 2011 was a crazy year.

      I do think they would have done better against Denver in 2013 and 2015. In both cases, whether because of lack of talent or injuries, they simply had no offensive weapons to work with. Having Hernandez there would’ve helped. Of course, I don’t know if anyone could’ve beaten Seattle in 2013, but Carolina in 2015 was sort of a paper tiger. I thought that was Brady's 31st consecutive home win and the Steelers game the next week was on the road? Cuz the Pats had already lost that season to the Bills in Buffalo, the Steelers did beat Brady in 2004 on Halloween to end the Pats record setting win streak started the previous season in 2003 but this is 2011

      “Back then” is still pretty much modern times though. You have to go back to the early 2000s to find something that was really different to nowadays in terms of the officiating. The 80s weren’t really all that different from the early 90s. Same deal here.

    • @sonofmiriam
      @sonofmiriam 2 года назад

      @@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 they wouldnt call this roughing the passer in 2010-2011. There was worst hits on QB’s. This one because it was Tom.
      Nowadays a little tap and it’s a flag. You’d have to destroy a QB back then to warrant a flag or do a bountygate type of hit like they did on Brett Farve.
