Yeah, that second story the wife is definitely cheating she doesn't kiss him or even hug him and no sex in over a year yeah, she has someone else, and she's already been gaslighting him and turning the kids against him and basically treating the husband like garbage OP needs to hire a PI and get the kids DNA tested but definitely need an update to that story.
Exactly. When the girls see what an evil person their mother is and disown her, end up being cheated on by their husbands/boyfriends, and having to raise their kids on their own, they'll come to OP, and beg him for forgiveness, but he'll tell them to kick rocks.⚠️

OP did the right thing by presenting options to the wife, and hope things are better. He deserved better than the cold shoulder he got. I don't think the children were trying to be malicious just absorbed in their own things like teenagers are remembering that time period I realize that sounds like an excuse for them but if in the US the oldest girl is getting ready to graduate high school and enter college. The younger children may be going off ques from their mother not knowing any better. He's an awesome man that deserves more respect than the last 2 years have given him.

High probability she was cheating. The disrespect that she had for him, the coldness, the unconcern, the missing of special days. She completely disconnected from him. And the kids mirrored her attitude.

For Story 2, I might be a pessimist, but if you have to threaten your wife with separation/ possible divorce to get her to love you properly, then I feel the marriage is already beyond salvage. I hope therapy does help and that everything does get better.

Story 2, OP needs somebody to smack some sense into him. He should have kept his cool and simply hired an investigator to gather evidence of her cheating. Is he really expecting her to speak to him honestly about everything? Would not be surprising if one or all of the daughters also know.
