This is super interesting. More an adventure than a race, as you note. All the time you spend at checkpoints, talking to the camera, it just seems weird to me as someone accustomed to racing. Congratulations on beating the conditions and the course, and fulfilling your goal after the setback you suffered before.
Having raced/battled this years Celtman also, it's great to see a video doing it justice. Well done

Very proud of you, I did check the times the day after and was so pleased you got to T2a in sub 11 but gutted for you about the high course. I have bought a bike because of you and still getting used to it but hopefully I can get to a triathlon soon, just need to spend more time in the pool

Excellent result! Too bad about the closure of the high course.
I did the race in 2015 missed T2a cutoff so "only" white T-shirt then back again for more suffering in 2016 when I finally completed the high course.

I have my first marathon on Saturday and the furthest I’ve gone is a half marathon one time on my own and struggled. What advice to you give for pushing through the pain cave and completing a +20 mile race

Well done !Sidenote I did Norseman in 2012 , it’s important to note that at Norseman you are racing others not time cuts like celtman … so make sure u are in top 160 for black shirt cutoff , good luck the ferry jump and swim back is amazing !
