When they started talking about a Captain America movie , I always thought Jensen would have been a good choice fpr Steve Rogers.

I was so afraid they would’ve done “Let’s kill off the guest character this season” trope. But they didn’t, the writers did an amazing job this season. Can’t wait for someone to free that certain character in season 4!
I think they’ll save that character for season 5 if I’m being honest. Maybe that will be the season 4 cliffhanger

With each passing season this show creeps up higher on my personal all time list. Plenty of examples of "what if super man were corrupt " out there but homelander does it best. I have not started season 3 yet but definitely looking forward to it

Okay, what you said about Homelander having moments of feeling in danger now got me really curious on if Butcher and/or Soldier Boy are actually gonna go toe to toe with him. I really hope they do.

I absolutely love this season because it's different from previous seasons. I dislike season 2 because the plot dragged and the only good episodes to me was episodes 1 2 3 and 7 and 8. And i do agree with you about this season being the best one and this season in particular is something i wanted from seasons 1 and 2 like more characters getting an arc and more emotional elements and more of a real storyline like season 1.
My ranking for the seasons will be
1. Season 3
2. Season 1
3. Season 2
So far, i’ve absolutely loved this season. That first episode was batsh*t crazy! I’m hoping for a strong finish overall this season & look forward to more Soldier Boy!

The new season was so fun and insanely unspecified. I enjoyed it just not a huge fan of the deep also. Super excited to see what else Jensen has to bring to the crazy character solider boy.
It's insane how much I enjoy this show because, in my opinion, the comics are garbage, the show takes the base ideas from them and improves in pretty much every way.

Butcher , Hughie and Soldier Boy vs Homelander was , is and always will be one of the best fictional fights up their with Goku vs Frieza on planet Namek and Superman vs Doomsday in the Death Of Superman comic !

In the comics there is another villain besides homelander that is indrouced and it was a great ending homelander won’t be the villain by season 4 if that’s the final season shoulder boy and black noir are the only ones so far able to deafet homelander theoretically
Yesssss Cody...that scene!!! Picture it 2022 and i decide to watch The Boys and update my resume online, bcuz i am a multitasker. Then look up a 1 pt and....huh....???....rewind. Holy shat is that what i think it is....they.did.not! The hell if they didn't.
Ok then let's Go. My jaw was wide open for the next 3 episodes. Now i know that there will be no multi-tasking with this show, it gets my undivided attention.

I felt the same way about the first two seasons.. starts and ends strong but the middle episodes are boring - always made me hard to recommend to friends-- soo happy you touched on that in your review and that this season doesn't have that middle issue
Will I appreciate your thoughts but you kind of gave away some spoiler hints with atrain and soldier boy. I love the boys. The boys and stranger things along with peacemaker are my fav current shows. Cobra kai, mandolorian and better call Saul would round off my list of great shows that haven't ended.
The deep is my second favourite character but I agree it's pointless him being in the show still I just can't get enough of the sealife antics 😂

The story around Frenchie and a Kimiko was one of my favorite parts of season 3. Kimiko is my favorite person on the show. The Deep though is a huge waste of time for me though.
I just binged watched the entire series so far in about two weeks.
Season 3 was by far the best but the social and political commentary I just had to skip through. I've had enough of that in real life, I can't take it all the time man. They were so on the nose this season.
Great show, I love the gritty storylines, the gore, and action. Karl Urban and Jensen Ackles were standouts this season.
Do they leave the possibility for soldier boy to return next season??

Kinda spoiled the homelander arc without directly spoiling it. Based on what you say about him at the end it would seem that they will be unsuccessful in killing homelander by the end of the season.

Just one of those shows that the absurdity and vulgar nature adds so much. It’s still surprising that Amazon even allowed this show and how far they are able to take it. Even when shows and movies will never even get close to this style and imagery.

I always thought this show was way too edgy try hardish but still liked season 1. I didn’t like season 2 at all. Was open to watching season 3 but hearing it only pushed the envelope with the edginess and hearing about that one scene everyone is talking about, I’m not watching it. The show is not for me
