Jason Weaver spoke about being on Chingy’s “One Call Away,” which he did the hook for. Jason noted that he did the hook for the song while on lunch break at the set of the movie ‘The Lady Killers.’ Weaver noted that Capitol Records didn’t want him on the record originally.
From there, Vlad and Jason Weaver spoke about Chingy and his situation with Sidney Starr. Jason said he rocks with Chingy and thinks it’s unfortunate that Sidney Starr lied messed with the rapper’s career. Weaver also addressed why he and Chingy never really performed their record together and how they hashed out any misconceptions.

Honestly Jason vocals made the Chingy song a hit just my opinion.
“One Call Away” has one of the most memorable hooks. The beat was dope too.

"One Call A Way" without Jason's vocals would not have been a hit periodt. Chingy and Jason needs to perform this song together some day. Chingy is a dynamic rapper and Jason still has the pipes, so let's make this happen promoters. The fans wanna see this.

"One Call Away" is still in rotation on my Spotify Playlist. I was 10/11 when it dropped. It was so cool to me as a kid that this guy who I remembered from "Smart Guy" was also the guy in the video singing my favorite song at the time. Him on the hook is what stapled his spot in my memory from that point on. It's cool to see that he's a thankful, genuine guy. Wishing him the best.

I feel like this dude just gets a bunch of residual checks every month for that the stuff he's done in his career. Such an underrated talent.
Jason has always been in that position I’d want to be in if I was in the industry. Just enough fame to get recognized but not too much and be able to reap the financial rewards along the way without all that attention in my personal life. This guy has been consistent for many years while avoiding many of the shortfalls of having too much fame too soon. Perfect balance.
