I'm 73 and I love this group. Wish I wasn't getting old. There's a lot of cool music out there. (Thanks for all the heartfelt replies ppl. You're the ppl that keep me young).
"People always sayin' man at least you're on the radio." What a great line that's extremely relatable. One's music being played on the radio is a brilliant metaphor for how feelings of depression, despair, and other bad feelings can persist and drag anyone down, no matter how objectively well off or seemingly successful they are "on paper."
This song gives me a weird feeling of happiness and positivity, I think I'm obsessed with it (After seeing the few responses i just wanna say that's my own interpretation, feeling the songs gives me. I know about the meaning of it, and that's what they are talented for and why i love music, giving positivity in songs where lyrics aren't suiting the vibe of it. We probably all experience music in various ways but please respect the perception anyone can have about it ♥).
I'm addicted to this song. So catchy - I keep humming along and I feel like dancing. Pure joy though the lyrics show pain. The guitar riffs and bass are incredible, as are the melody and chorus. It's now probably my favourite Cage The Elephant song.
I like to sing it walking down the streets. soooo up lifting, people might think Im talking to my self lol. if you cant dig this song you probably have no real taste in music Ha 2 bad 4 U.

No wonder "Social Cues" has been nominated for a "Best Rock Album" Grammy. This song is outstanding with that bass line and steel guitar. The album is amazing!

Been listening to this every day since April 19th. Sometimes several times. I love it even more now! It's a sad song but makes you feel happy, like there's joy despite the difficulty. The music lifts your spirits and makes you want to dance.
Lots of bands are making changes to their sound (am, bmth, etc) and their old fans are being super toxic about it, and yet with cage I haven't seen anyone bashing the new stuff. We're all just here to enjoy good music lol
