Here is 80 year old Mrs. David Macci. The love of my life died 8 month ago after 58 years together and he would have so loved accompanying you across Newfoundland. Justin, on my cross-over from Europe with the Lloyd Berlin in 1961 a hurricane drifted us so close to the cost of Newfoundland I could see the coast with my bare eyes. 20 years later, this time flying back to the States from a visit we did an emergency landing in Newfoundland.....I think I was meant to visit! Now through you I finally got the chance! I love your series and can't wait for EP.5 ! Thank you and Saku ....what beautiful wide open land with the most gorgeous sunsets! I love how you fly your flag at all places you two camp for the night. It shows the pride you have for your wonderful homeland. I am a fan for sure! Please give that curly-haired four-legged boy a kiss from me. I fall in love with him. :)
The series is one of the gems of the internet. Cheers to you for your vision to cross Newfoundland and following your vision. Look forward to your up coming episodes.
I really appreciate that you didn't edit out the fall out of pride. A lot might have done so. But that is the real world and when you're alone, it can be deadly serious. Thank you for showing us what happened and how you dealt with it.
I love this series so much, now I'm following it like a TV show, longing for the next episode. Even the theme song gets me excited. Thanks for the excellent work mate, and for sharing this adventure with us.
The bear sightings are absolutely incredible. Can’t believe all the encounters you’ve had with with animals and mother nature so far. Enjoyed the hell out of this episode and I can’t wait for the next one.
It is people like you that is enabled city boys like me to experience your beautiful country in such a profound and raw immersive way. All I can say is Thank you. I am not much of a tv person and can't go outdoors due health problems. You're journeys so far are mind bogglingly epic and love your character in situations that most people would get them down. Joe robbinet is how I have found you. God graces to you Sacc and your family. Lol forward to the next leg. All the best from Scotland
I’ve spent some time in this area with Hydro and flown over it in helicopter, and every time I’ve thought to myself how hard it would be to cross by land, with all the ponds, brooks and bogs. I’m enjoying every episode even more than the last, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series and everything else to come!
Justin, Thank you and Great LIVESTREAM tonight my friend!! Can't wait for your book to come out. I hope from all the comments and questions you realize how much of an Amazing effect you have on your growibg sub community. And Hell yes you deserve a patreon account. All the National Geographic quality videos you put out and your diligence to make all your subs feel like a lifetime friend. Bet your ASS ill be supporting your channel in that manner when it comes available. Thank you and Saku again for all your hard work and being a fountain of Great content, Fun and KNOWLEDGE!!! And a special Thanks to Heather for allowing you to be away to make these Awesome videos!!! Semper Fi my Newfoundland brother!!! Big E and the Cash!!!
Hi Justin, Thanks so much for taking us all along with you and Saku.. Brilliant! Your adventure reminds me of Jon Muir (the Australian explorer) who traversed his country N/S. He made a documentary about it years ago (called Alone across Australia) Recently I managed to get a copy sent over; well worth watching yourself if you haven't already seen it. Maybe another country for your next adventure?
In 1969 I hitchiked,( sneeking out the back window of my parent's house the last day of junior year of high school,) to Alaska, from the Bay Area(Calif.) by way of Prince Rupert, then a ferry Ketchikan...Watching your videos from a small farm in France, not over the hill by a long shot, but still 67, your simple, honest approach and love of your dog, is a constant joy, after chores, during this lockdown, where(lucky to live in the country,) we still can't even stop by the village cafe to see the fellows. Your adventures kind of bring back many things...Thank you so much....rr Normandy, France
Well you did it again, another great video ,as Billy Boot says , you're some tic n tuff by, and that Saku is one super special boy , he's great company for you. I really enjoyed this episode ( of course I enjoyed them all so far ) but this one seemed to be more action packed. I am glad you didn't hurt anything but your pride when you fell into the water , those bears are beautiful but I'd much rather view them from far away...lol. Ok until next time ,, you and Saku take care and be safe out there. we'll see you in episode 5 .Thanks for letting us tag along. Awesome recording BTW .
I really appreciate the little details you add in for example when you see or hear a animal you always say what they are and give a small fact about them I really appreciate it.
Saku is such a beautiful dog and so sweet. He loves you so much and I can tell you love him too. Love the relationship you two have and Im absolutely loving this series!!!
Hey old boy ! Sitting here having a cold beer watching your video, Sure loving this series. It Didn't take old Saku long to dive into the water, he's got a thick coat on him, swims like a fish. Tough luck falling into the water, glad you didn't edit that part out, I had a laugh at the blurred out part lol ! Not a lot of room on the pack boat with all the gear, you and Sak ! haha Awesome to see the bear, and good of the dog to not go running after it. I'm wondering about your collapsable fishing rod, what brand and where did you get it. would be perfect for my ATV. Great job editing too !
Justin, this is some of the best content on RUclips. Can't wait for your computer issues to be solved and get the rest up. But whatever your pace my friend, we'll be waiting. Fantastic.
“Come on up with Dad” Justin you are a wonderful dog owner....and a totally unflappable person. I love that you are so positive every step of the way..no matter what happens. I am loving this series and can’t wait for my book to come! Wishing you and Saku a very Happy New Year. Can’t wait for your next adventures!!!!!
I have canoed for 50+ years throughout Canada and the arctic. I have taken a series of Labs with me as tripping companions. I would NEVER have tried to cross that size open water with a dog and gear in a glorified life raft...my respect dude!
Hats off for keeping the fall in there. Good reminder to anyone who spends time in the outdoors that it doesn't take much for a situation to possibly turn bad.
At 37:25 when you're cookin' Brookies over the campfire you said it was Heaven on Earth. I couldn't agree more. I think Saku would also wag and smile in agreement.
Another seat-of-your-pants adventure! I suppose you had to follow Saku this time and take a swim too! “Gotta make a fire”.....I’m learning new things as you go along too. Love the animal sightings and the howls gave me the chills!! Those bugs might get nasty in the next few episodes. Would really like to watch you do a compass sighting & map reading demo through some terrain. I’m not very skilled at that. I’m always looking to see what you have strapped to your life vest. Does Saku‘s pack float?? How did you like your water bottle/filter setup? So exciting! Thank you so much!
Thanks Susan! Water filter worked great. It's a lifestraw bottle. There won't be a compass demo in this video but I will try to do one soon. And no his pack does not float but I never keep it on him in deep water. That was a shallow section. Appreciate you watching as always
Great epsd! I was workin up north for a month and had no Internet! I'm back to the city and I have a lot of catching up to do! 4 glorious episodes to binge, may the "weekend" begin!😊
I am loving your wilderness adventure. I'm hooked. I would have been scared stiff with the Coyotes and the Bears. I just want to squeeze Saku. Love him. Thank you for showing a wilderness wimp the beauty of our land. Congrats!!
Enjoyed this Justin! I live in a wheelchair, so live vicariously through yours and others videos like this. You are one tough dude with a lot of courage. Saku is a cool companion too. Stay safe brother.
This series is awesome. I can't believe I didn't find it sooner. I caught the Labrador series first and am awaiting the next episode of that one currently.
I say this with love in my heart for you and Saku......Bone head move poping that pack on in the beginning(i've been there as well). I am really impressed with how well the alpacka was holding up all things considered. The brook trout had the colour of arctic char....awesome!.....Sterling stuff Justin.
Yeah tough move but the fatigue and continual tricky situations begin to mount out there. Things happen. Trout was a beauty for sure. Thanks for watching!
Hello Justin, great video. I have been watching lots of outdoor guys doing their camping but you are the most dedicated to your craft, you really love what you do and you are never bored. It is a rewarding experience to watch the videos. My favorite is the winter camping as the shots of the snow you take are professional and breathtaking. I pray for you that your channel grows daily and that you can sustain yourself through your efforts in the nature. I pray that you will always be provided for. I am happy to see that you are capable to stay positive in a difficult situation. You are a person who deserves to be respected for what you do and other people . May the most high bless you and protect you from all harm. We need more good heart Men in our society like you!

Hi from the other coast (Vancouver). Joe Robinet got me hooked on these bushcraft vids, he’s great. This the first vid I’ve seen of you and I’m on board, loved it. I lived in Nova Scotia until I was 8, never made it to Newfoundland but I really want to see it one day as it looks beautiful. I’m a former Jr.A hockey player as well, keep on bro and be safe.
I played jr for Nanaimo Clippers, Vernon Vipers, Richmond Sockeyes and major jr. for the Victoria Cougars. Played minor hockey in Port Hawkesbury Nova Scotia until 8. I have lots of scars on my face but managed to keep my teeth somehow, lol. Just like Joe you have a very likeable, honest and relatable persona. Me and my wife will be watching and supporting all your content. Again, loooove the show. Cheers brother!!
My god ! I think I've got more adrenalin pumping than you just watching your adventure! For your encounter with the bear I think you had the best passive defense against him , the raft on your back making you look a lot bigger and impressive. Content de voir que tu n'as pas été blessé lors de ta chute , ça aurait pu être la catastrophe . Très hâte au prochain épisode, have a nice week , take care !
I never thought Friday nights could get any better until you started posting then. I look forward all week for this. Love every minute of it thanks. By far my favourite channel.
Another great episode Justin. Love watching your journey. This type of film should be on tv for more people to watch. You live in a beautiful part of our country, thanks again for taking us along. I did the very same thing once getting out of my canoe and my pack took me over. Lucky all I got was wet but could have been so much worse. Glad you're ok
I'm sure glad to have found your adventure series! Your editing and narrating skills are very good, and I look forward to seeing the rest of your adventure unfold in the weeks to come!
Justin keep it up! Your videos are raw and real. Lots of them out there seem scripted. I come back to watch because you’re a real dude doing what you love. That’s what people want to see. Never seems like your trying to hard for the camera. Well done.
8:45 Good to see you did not hurt yourself. Man every outdoor vid I watch makes me itchy (as in rather now than tomorrow) to go out by myself again. Loving this outdoor community worldwide. one of the best.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure. I am enjoying it so very much. We ought to have more young men like you on this earth. Bravo! Can't wait to finish watching this series and looking for many more!!
That is a tough break going in the drink trying to put your pack on but the way I see it is sometimes you win sometimes you learn and that's what's important. I'm really enjoying this series and you are one hell of an outdoorsman. My hat goes off to you and Saku for your perseverance .
I was away ice fishing, but as soon as I got home today I dialed in to watch this episode. I've been sending the stream to my 70 inch hi-def tv. It's awesome watching this way because I don't want to miss anything. I am really enjoying this series, I've been telling all my friends to check it out as well. I've loved every episode so much that I am unable to pick a favorite. I do know which one will be the least favorite....the last one. Your series is wonderful. God Bless you, Greg
I've watched a number of your videos. Here's what they have which really makes them special: They have spirit! you're honest, simple, un-embellished, down-to-Earth, and there's a nice 'sense of place' in the videos.
This series helped me find a new passion for being in the woods! Little bit different than down here in Texas, but keep up the amazing vids man truly awesome!!
Another wonderful episode. Thanks Justin. Sorry, I had to laugh a bit when you fell. As you lifted the pack, I was thinking "Oh no,; heavy pack; bad footing; he's gonna fall!!" .... and you did. Glad the only thing that got hurt was your pride. You are a good ole Canadian boy. So real, humble and true. Keep it up, man
When’s the next episodeJustin? Love this series I am thankful for you doing this. Very educational, beautiful scenery, best bush crafting video! 700 kms. That’s setting the bar up there! Can’t wait for Episode 5. Keep it up.
An absolute pleasure to watch. Me and my son snow shoe / boat camp / fish and we love the series. It light s a fire under our ass watching makes us get out lol
Hello all the way from Wales, UK. 🏴 Your videos are great and inspire me to want to spend time outside with my dog. This 68 day journey your taking us on is epic. Da iawn 👏
Captivating! I can't get over the hardships and good times you had. You and Saku, what a team?! On a crappy night in the cove, I couldn't ask for anything better to bide my time while the stove warms up the shed. Thanks for taking us along Justin and Saku, cheers till the next one!
Another great episode Justin and Saku! You two are quite a team! He is so well trained...you can just see his brain thinking "chase that bear" or "jump out and swim after Dad!", but he listens so well :) So enjoyable to watch after a long day at work. Can't wait for next week guys!!!
At 8:02 i thought..oh i would have grabbed the backpack from the other side...and yup there you go. I hope all was OK after. Will continue to watch after i picked up the kids. Good series dude. Loving it.
Thank you Justin and Saku. Cash was excited to hear from you both. GREAT CONTENT GREAT HOSTS GREAT CHANNEL!!!! THANK YOU. CANT MISS ANY OF YOUR VIDEOS!!!
Another great video, like that inflatable kayak takes a lot of abuse really impressed how well you get around with it,I always look at what people are using for gear that seems to work well, like your mora and military goretex pants just proves you don’t need top brand expensive gear to enjoy your time and it will do the job, really impressive work ,thanks
Another Great Episode Justin , Saku looks exited to get some brookies to , i got a couple of them telescopic rods great little rods used diff reels thou then what they came with
This series is ridiculously good, you must be a professional documentary maker.

I've always wondered what in innards of Newfoundland looked like and now I know ThankYou Justin 'You The Man' 💕
That is a tough break going in the drink trying to put your pack on but the way I see it is sometimes you win sometimes you learn and that's what's important. I'm really enjoying this series and you are one hell of an outdoorsman. My hat goes off to you and Saku for your perseverance .
Thank you, that was great. Best hour of the day!
Thanks Tom!
I just love the transitioning into warmer weather and that first catch was the best!!
This series is beyond awesome! See you adventurers again soon!
Thanks Rambler!
Thanks Greg! Appreciate you watching and spreading the good word. Hope you hooked some fish buddy
This episode went by really fast! Man that sizzling trout looked awesome.
What a treat Jenn, thanks!
I've watched a number of your videos.
Here's what they have which really makes them special:
They have spirit!
you're honest, simple, un-embellished, down-to-Earth, and there's a nice 'sense of place' in the videos.
This series helped me find a new passion for being in the woods! Little bit different than down here in Texas, but keep up the amazing vids man truly awesome!!
oh and shouts out Saku!
Thanks Cade glad it has helped you! Cheers from Newfoundland brother
Scarily awesome, Justin.
Thanks Kate!
It’s criminal you only have 16k subs, these series are top notch
Damn... The Parting Glass, my mum’s wake song. Weeping away while I watched.
Great episode! Enjoyed it immensely! Amazing how the raft holds up in those conditions! Great work Justin!
That portage was a cluster! Nice work.
Keep it up, man
haha thanks. Glad you had a good chuckle. It was just rushing. Thanks for watching!
When’s the next episodeJustin? Love this series I am thankful for you doing this. Very educational, beautiful scenery, best bush crafting video! 700 kms. That’s setting the bar up there! Can’t wait for Episode 5. Keep it up.

Had to go back and make sure I gave the thumbs up on all previous episodes! Great content, beautiful back yard!! Keep them coming Justin and Saku!
Captivating! I can't get over the hardships and good times you had. You and Saku, what a team?! On a crappy night in the cove, I couldn't ask for anything better to bide my time while the stove warms up the shed. Thanks for taking us along Justin and Saku, cheers till the next one!
Thanks for watching Chad hope all is well buddy, cheers 🍻
Another great episode Justin and Saku! You two are quite a team! He is so well trained...you can just see his brain thinking "chase that bear" or "jump out and swim after Dad!", but he listens so well :) So enjoyable to watch after a long day at work. Can't wait for next week guys!!!
What a great dog.

Justin this video was so exciting and entertaining, can't wait for the next one. Love to see a tag team vid with you and Joe.
