Hey folks hope you enjoy this winter two night adventure from back in February. What a time we had and some nice brook trout were caught. *Please hammer that like button, leave a comment* and *share this video* if you enjoy it! And of course *subscribe* to the channel : ) It's a big help. My next few videos will be from shorter trips over the last few months while I was editing the Man and Dog series (ruclips.net/p/PLHfA8Z4nZrxV6NdI_2bXdAiXE0hPKoAXP&fbclid=IwAR2DvxXE3A8f2x63GtewVVvwh33UJERHnVHMbeDbp7MsHhmIPrxMXJeczM0) Take care and see you in the next one!
There's something different that separates your videos from others. Its not to knock on them at all, there are others I love to watch and learn from too. However, yours (to me), seem more genuine and raw. They aren't "how to" videos, and they aren't "look at me, I like the attention" videos. Your overall enjoyment is apparent and genuine. A man and his dogs, who truly love the outdoors, and finds comfort in it. Luckily for us, you're kind enough to record and share your adventures. That genuine enjoyment, and first hand look into how to survive simply, (I believe) is why so many others also enjoy are inspired by your videos. Keep being you man! Just my $0.02 You're a good boy Saku! You too Bear!
Justin, for what it's worth. I would hate to see you collaborate with any other RUclips personalities. The Joe and Doug duo works but only because they are long time friends and just the right dynamic. Even then it became more about video than about the adventure and nature. Keep doing what you're doing. I enjoy your view of the world.
It has been a long time since I last had a good feed of rabbits. We grew up on rabbit stew and rabbit pie. My father and brothers were always fishing and hunting, trout, salmon, smelts , ducks ( I did not like ducks), rabbits and deer . We had a log cabin on an island just outside Halifax. It reminded me of your adventures in the wild. I once had Newfoundland Moose meat. It was soooommme good bye.
To make that statement easier to digest. You were taught the law of water at school and not the law of the land. Therefor you have been turned into a fish hence the term "School". The law of water is the legal system and the law of the land is the "Common law". The law of water is denoted by the terms legal and illegal. The law of the land is denoted by the terms lawful and unlawful. You need to learn the law to become less fishy 😄 ingnorance of the law is no excuse!
after you put your baited line in the ice hole if you put a tree bough into the ice opening it will keep the hole from freezing over completely solid. Also warm worms = more immediate results.
This guy is so awesome just keeping things real an so down to earth just love all his videos Im from newfoundland myself an it just makes me smile an homesick everytime I watch his great newfoundland adventure keep up the great work Justin cheers from British Columbia
Great video boys ! I'll be back in GFW tomorrow until Wednesday. After this week I'll be free until I go back to Alberta if you want to meet up for a bushcraft overnight. I dont mind driving to meet up. If you can get some free time of course. Ttyl buddy !
Yes buddy would love to. I'm just getting ready to head off tomorrow for a week in the raft down a small river here in central. Drop me a line in May and we'll meet halfway for a night 👍
Back in the day,1980 I went from terenceville along the southern coast in some coastal boats at that time..burgeo etc.it was a great trip too.i was about 34 at the time. Harold horwood and Farley mowat has past there some 15 yrs before. Hey I'm thinking that Iceland has half the size in population of nf..how come we r not a country like them??? I went to Iceland in 1973 just when those fishermen were out there ramming the foreign fishing ships coming in to steal their fish . They seem to be a thriving country.. Thanx Justin and jor friends ..
I really enjoy all of your videos. Out was nice to see you get out for a relaxing weekend with your friend. I love the editing and the music in your videos. Well done.......Take care, Bluefin.
Hi Justin, only this week i became a subcriber & am pleased i did, i haven't stopped watching them as they are outstanding they look like there in 4k which makes a differance..keep them coming Justin ATB..Mick
Justin loved your man and dog series.... this is a little flat maybe because that series was so good. keep posting but think about what sells.....good luck
Thanks I really appreciate your comment! And someone else had also said that. But you guys have to stop and think for a minute. I am gonna have to do a video to let all know that it will be hard to have videos to live up to that 68 day 700 km adventure on a weekly basis. They are a once a year type thing. It takes a year or more to plan them. But there will be plenty more outdoor high adventure vids to come. This was just a relaxing trip with my bud and pups. These style of videos will be in the mix once in awhile too. Hope you understand, cheers 👍
HAPPY B- DAY JB!!🥳 LIVING THE DREAM INDEED MY FRIEND,GREAT VIDIO BUD CANT THINK OF A BETTER WAY OF SPENDING A B-DAY THAN WITH GOOD FRIENDS & PUPS.🐕 Much respect from Phoenix Arizona
Even though Saku and Bear are great companions. Its great to spend some time with a mate. Share a few laughs and enjoy life. Pity about the rabbits. Im quite partial to a bit of camp cooked bunny. Cheers mate.
I love your content and enthusiasm, I hope your subs soar you deserve it. Really enjoyed your trip across Newfoundland as a canoe camper in the UK things are a lot tamer but its the journey the encounters with nature when there's no engines that makes it rich. Thanks for taking the effort to film, edit and share we really appreciate what it takes. PS love your dog footage I know their loving the life that's just natural for them.
Good one. Interesting to see how you put the flaps on the inside of the tent with logs instead of outside and shovelling snow. Easier to take down. Learned from the knotchedlimb log splitting. Easier on the back. Love the lines of Saku. I had a chessie built that way. Less muscular, but one heck of a sled dog and quick goose retreiving machine. Hope Woody's pink eye clears up! Thanks for the video.
hahaha Woody!! It's Whiety but I can understand with our fast dialect how you confused that one. The stink eye only lasted a week hah. And the tent flap trick I learned from an old trapper. Works well
Winter camp in a hot tent ! Next years goal. Camping with a friend is next for me. Had two requests since I posted pics of the last trip so going out with a fellow adventurer in May Thanks for the inspiration and sharing another great video
I absolutely love the hot tent setup. Never had the chance to actually make it work, though. Whenever I go with others, we end up trying to cover ground instead of just relaxing. Need to pank that issue and make a change! Also, gotta get the tent/equipment... Love the vids, always make me itch to get back out there. Best of all to ya and the pups!
Knows buddy can't start a fire luh! lol. Great video with great editing. Was that the cabin party on in the background? lol Oh and Happy Belated Birthday!!
When I saw those sticks of wood you were using for fishing I said to myself, they look like hockey stick pieces. Then you told us. I'm American but there isn't nothing better than the game of hooockey as pronounced correctly by the Canadiens. Looks like they also attract some nice brookies and maybe a brownie as well later on?
Awesome winter trip! Good fun and good friend! Glad you caught fish! The wind - makes for a cold time but you had such fun - hardy! Loved that you brought the dogs along! How warm does the tent get? Thank you for sharing!
Excellent video man! We are in shorts wearing weather here in SW Virginia, but I would’ve lived to have one last heavy snow. Keep up the great work mate and happy Easter.

Justin is head and shoulders above the likes of Joe and Doug . They are weekend warriors at best . Justin is the real McCoy .
Canadian outdoorsmen. Great to see. Love the music. Catches how hauntingly beautiful landscapes can be.

No wonder you're such a good fisherman, you're a teacher and fish swim in schools!
But he dosn't turn the fish into a legal entity controlled by witchcraft via International maritime admiralty law so hes not really a teacher.

Love you’re adventures glad you film them I’m thinking you are the best 1 on RUclips
Your videos are truly amazing and I can’t wait for more man and dog series. It really inspires me to get out into the Newfoundland wilderness!!
Ethereal Snail Fish 101...To each his own I suppose but I get my inspiration from the man and woman series.
Perfect. Good times. As always great video. God bless.
I like the Gordie Howe hat trick 👊
Keep living the dream! A lot of us live our dreams through your eyes! Thanks

Nice camping and fishing adventure Justin. Sakco is looking a little thin hope he is doing well.
Its not Saiku looking thin, its that most labs, chessies etc you see around are overweight.
@@ericmoore8945 That is true
Thanks Clara! Saku is muscular and in great condition. You should be able to easily feel any dogs ribs. Most unfortunately are overweight
