    I tested the AX11000 side by side with the AXE11000 and there was no comparison. The Signal strength and speed of the AXE was significantly stronger. I was testing on the other side of my house and the AX11000 would show a max of about 35~40mbps down and 5 or 10 mbps up and the AXE was 175~200 down and 30 or so mbps up.
    I've got this new one on the way and plan to set it as the main router and then use the AXE11000 as the AI node.

      Did you end up getting the axe16000?

    • @FastRedPonyCar
      @FastRedPonyCar Год назад

      @@Enigma1158 YES! It's incredibly fast! It's virtually identical to my AXE11000 but just faster. One of the 10 gig ports allows me to connect a 10 gig switch (QNAP QSW-M408-2C) into the router for my file server and NAS another is configured as the WAN port which gives me headroom to upgrade my 1.3gig fiber ATT internet to 2.5 gig or 5 gig later on if I want to have something faster and the 2.5gig port is connected to my AXE11000 for a fast AI mesh backhaul.
      Zero problems since I installed it back in July.

      @@FastRedPonyCar Oh nice! What would you say the single strength is like through your entire house?

    • @FastRedPonyCar
      @FastRedPonyCar Год назад

      @@Enigma1158 Signal strength is insane on both units to be honest. no other single unit can come close.

      @@FastRedPonyCar Tbh I’ve been having trouble with me AX11000 for a while now… the single keeps fluctuating all the time…. I wonder if it’s because the antennas aren’t built in like the AXE11000/16000

    I have this router and it is a beast. You may want to consider installing the Merlin Firmware as it has many more features available than the ASUS stock firmware.

    Definitely big enough to sit on a 200mm fan to keep it cool.

    hi , my ISP offers up to 2.5, and I want to surf up to 2.5 if I put my ISP in a 2.5 wan port, and then I put my PC's Ethernet LAN in a 10 gigabit, download at 2.5? ps: my motherboard supports 2.5 lan, thanks

    Does it work for androids too? Or just for PC I have a gaming PC but I wanna know if it works for androids or iOS too.

      Yeah it works for droids, iPhones or anything that gets an internet connection. I actually own two of these routers because i have two different internet providers but on the one i use for all of my wired devices in my home (at least 35 device minimum) this router handles all of them with ease. So many features and this router supports Merlin Firmware which is FAR better that the ASUS stock firmware. If you can spring for this router you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you have a modem that gives you faster speed (like Docsis 3.1).

      WAN port is 2.5 Gbps plus 2 10 Gbps ports so yes plenty of throughput. (You can have 10 Gbps WAN and LAN later)…

      You need an ISP modem or gateway and you must enable bridge mode on them.

    It's just a Fancy toy like router with worse WiFi Performance than my older Wifi 5 Netgear router. Do not buy it.
    It's only good for short range, or low latency being closer to the router. RAXE500 is much better than this.
