Hello! We've included this in the description but just wanted to clarify at the end of our discussion what we will be watching in the upcoming weeks. Ultimately we decided on movies Civil War and The Fall Guy for next week, followed by TV series The Boys and House of the Dragon after that. With how our schedules worked out for next week we will be releasing videos on all 4 Fri/Sat/Mon. Then it should be The Boys/HOTD the following weeks after that. Thanks to everyone who watched with us...it's been FUN!
The dream of a dream was John going back to England. He forsake that future when he attempted to commit seppuku. He was never allowed to leave Japan.
Jane was able to figure this out in the discussion after the episode (around the 29:00 mark). Went completely over my head though lol!

If the show follows history, season 2 could be about the coming conflict with Lady Ochiba and her son when he comes of age and tries to take the shogunate, culminating in the sieges of Osaka.
I'm curious if they will show more use of the arquebuses (by Samurai), from what i've read it seems to pretty wide use around this time? With the show aiming to be authentic, one can only hope.

Jhon realize his future getting old with grandchildren when he decide SEPPUKU in front of Toranaga. He found the meaning of life and how to die through Mariko.

Agreed, his old man visions are his dreams in real time, while he is knocked out. Also in the first episode, Yabushige and Omi had conversations about Toronaga. And Yabushiga said the words “Why tell a dead man his future” to Omi. Which leads me to believe Omi was also a spy for Toronaga. It’s how Toronaga was always a step ahead of Yabushige. And the smile at the end is when he realizes Toronaga knew every thing he did against him. Maybe even realizes Omi spied on him.
This is what Jane and I eventually landed on as well. Makes all the scenes throughout the season with Omi questioning his loyalty all the more juicy.
Have you seen the movie Tarzan The Fearless?
Never seen them! Looks like there was a remake in '64? I'll admit our list of movies we've seen prior to the 80's is pretty limited.
