Hated working at home for the first 4 months of covid but LOVE it now!! I cannot believe it will be a year in March that we all came home. My saving grace was getting structure and routine in my daily schedule. I now take a nap every afternoon and walk 1 to 2 miles every afternoon. It has made a world of difference.
What I struggle with most working from home is my attention span. I start work, then I think of something so I get up and do it, or my mind wanders, or social media beckons, or something else, and I lose 20 -40 minutes of work time. I need a how to keep your attention on work video! Lol
I’ve been working from home but my company wants everyone back in the office when the pandemic is over and I never want to go back in I want to find a way to work from home from now on even if it means leaving my job
Yes, Amy, you have this process nailed. Boundaries, blocking, and breaks. All the best to you and the new classes. I started WFH in 1992 with those provisions in mind. Went back to a Fortune 50 Corp for 10 years and maintained the same goals. Returned to WFH in 2006 with the exact goals. Every so often I slip and need to reset the goals, but they control the work/life balance, keep me more productive, make me wife of 34 years happier.
Amy, your content is always so so so good. Thank you! All of your productivity tips/systems have allowed me to start my RUclips channel this year (finally!)!
Yess!! This is everything I needed and moreee. Quick question. When should you stop working? I find myself mismanagining my time and overworking like crazy since work is literally right there
So excited!! I’m headed over there right now to watch. I’ve been working from home for 4 years now, and I’m really struggling with time management. I just started reading Good Morning, Good Life, and it’s a game-changer! Thank you Amy!!! 💕
I followed your class on Creative Live and I really liked it, it was very helpful and rich. I was struggling with that strange new year and this class was the push I needed to put me back in the saddle. Thank you Amy!
Perfect timing Amy! I was having a problem to get used to this new - norm and I promise that I will check out your awesome class for mastering WORK FROM HOME!👍
Loved this video and your Create Live class! WOW got so much out of it, updated my google calendar time block, and feel so ready to keep working in a healthier manner. Thank you for your time, energy, and love you put into this content!
We see this after you posted.. like 37sec ago. Yes, I have to watch it, like it, share it, if I want to sleep in my bed tonight :))) Thank you Cristina :)))
I am in the middle of a burnout, it all started by not respecting my schedule and working at 2 am, having to check in the next morning at 9. And the thing is that I am not frantically working during the day, so when the official checkout time arrives (6:30 pm) I feel guilty that I haven't given it my 100% during the day so I keep going, this includes weekends. So that has been going on for a good couple of months, until I realized that my whole body is itching and I have some serious dandruff. Went to a dermatologist and he said that no matter what treatment he gave me, if I was stressed, it would be of little help. The other thing is that because I was getting no mental rest from work, my performance has suffered too. So here I am on this fine Saturday for the first time in a long while, doing absolutely nothing, forcing my brain to not think about work or to not feel guilty about not doing something productive.
The groundhog day effect is real. Without having set days off and stepping away from work each day, the days can blend together into one mindnumbing mass.
@Amy Landino Amy first off, you are GORGEOUS!! Second, thank you so much for this very insightful video, I SO needed this! 2020 taught me that I want 2021 to finally be about ME and my goals; better "time and productivity" management to help me with working on my online classes/Associate's, trying to finally start a small craft business so that I can be my own boss, and alotting time for family and SELF-care! But I LOVE your Boundaries, Blocking and Breaks concept because even though, I'm fairly an organized person, I've been desperate to get a handle on these three things! Have a blessed day Amy, stay safe and well!!
Within 2 hours of your video premiering on youtube, I went to the website via your link but could not see more than the first class without paying for the entire course. That's not what you say you're offering in this video, because you distinctly say that the entire course is streaming free of charge for the first 24 hours after its release. I felt fed up and just left the website.
I lost my mind weeks ago. AND I NORMALLY WORK AT HOME! My mind and I are at war trying to kill each other. It’s hiding around here somewhere. Piece of shit. When I catch it, gonna feed it to the dog.

Boundaries, blocking, and breaks. Amazing. Thank you for this insight into living more intentionally and working more intentionally.
I have been dealing with a lot of emotions and depression from working from home and been procrastinating for a long lime.
