Today, we do some testing to see if the Sprint Booster actually makes the throttle body respond the same way as they show in their demo video. There WILL be a follow-up video showing how to use the pedal-lock and valet features.

Great video and thanks for taking that time. Manufacturers should have an adjustment for the driver for this. I ordered to get rid of that delay to my power. 👍🏼
Great video again. At least you could tell the response time was quicker with the SB. I'm sure it has to do with the limiter in park.
Thanks! And yeah, it has to have something to do with that 4k rev limiter in park. Just odd how it flutters BEFORE getting to that 4k, but maybe that's how it all begins lol.
I'm running the Sprint Booster as well, ran the Pedal Commander on my 2012. I'm liking the SB this go around since I can just unplug it if I want and because of the other features. I need to get my S-Type in the next couple weeks, but I'm having some difficulty convincing my wife that we don't want a quiet truck..
😂😂 I feel ya. It’s nice having a quiet truck sometimes, but for the most part I love the sound of it being louder. I also like being able to unplug the SB. How does the Pedal Commander stack up to the SB since you’ve had both? Does 1 feel more responsive than the other? I know the PC gives it like full throttle when you command way less if it’s cranked up but I like the 1:1 ratio of the SB.
They feel about the same, I find myself messing with the SB less for some reason, like I found my preference a lot earlier but that might not be anything to do with the SB. It'd be interesting to see if the PC adjusted the responsiveness in the same way.
With the truck off there was a huge difference in how quickly it opened. But when the truck was on it didn’t seem to be much different.
I think a lot of it has to do with the truck being in park. It has a rev limiter at 4k and the throttle fluttering doesn't make sense. I wish I could get a view of it going down the road.

Sounds like you got the good ol Hemi knock too. They all must do it after a few hundred miles.
Maybe slight valve train ticking but definitely no knocking going on here lol.

Thanks for the great video. I have some questions,, Do you still have it installed since making the video and have you noticed any mileage increase? Thanks man.
I actually sold the truck in November of 2021 but it was installed up to that point. No noticeable change in MPG I just wanted it for better throttle response. The only real MPG gain I could see is if you drove around in valet mode all the time but the truck is totally gutless and has a hard time getting over like 50 mph in valet lol
Do you still have the sprint booster hooked up on the truck and has it caused any issues with any lights coming up on the dash or any other issues.... Stuck between getting the sprint booster or the pedal Commander
No issues at all with lights. Only had one instance with the sprint booster where the throttle dropped out for half a second. Not sure if it was actually sprint boosters fault, or if it was a truck issue. I’ve had it installed since this video and no other complaints or issues.
Any thoughts on this vs the Vitesse throttle controller? I’m not looking to have 50% throttle at only 20% pedal.. just getting tired of the lag when I slow down to make a turn onto another street and there’s what feels like 1-2 second lag for the engine to respond again.
No experience with the Vitesse, in fact, I haven't even heard of it haha. But that's the exact reason I went with the Sprint Booster of the Pedal Commander.
Tony The Truck Guy thanks! Do you feel like the Sprint Booster helped with the issue I was speaking to (if you noticed that same)? I like the linear throttle response it has stock, just hate the tip in lag when you go from braking to back on the gas.
Yeah that’s definitely annoying and a big reason why I got the sprint booster. I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t still a tiny bit of lag, but it’s much better. I find the race 9 mode to be a little more aggressive than necessary so I leave mine on sport 9 usually
Did you have any issues with this product after you installed it such as the check engine light coming on or any codes on the screen?
No engine lights or messages or anything. There’s only been 1 or 2 occurrences where I hit the throttle and the truck hesitated for a minute but I’m not sure if that was the sprint booster or something with the truck itself. No other issues so far!
It literally looks the same with or without it hooked up lol.
Very small change. But I’m pretty sure that when you’re in park, it limits the throttle body, which is why it fluttered so much. I can only rev to like 4k in park. You can definitely feel a difference when actually driving. I just didn’t have a way to film the throttle body while driving and still have the intake hooked up lol

Has anyone had issues with sprint booster?The pedal commander throws codes sometimes.Has it had any issues?
I’ll let others speak for themselves, but personally I never had any codes. The only issue I ever had was 1 time it seemed like the throttle stuck for half a second, but I’m not sure if it was still learning, an issue with the sprint booster, or an issue on the OEM side. Never had a single problem after that during the roughly 2 years I had it. Not sure if anything has changed with the 2021 or 2022 trucks though.

There’s definitely faster response with the sprint booster. Not like pedal commander where 1/4 throttle is actually full throttle but if you actually snap the throttle down it will react faster than stock.

It really comes down to preference. Some people might like that the PC gives full throttle at only 1/4-1/2 throttle, I prefer the SB and it’s 1:1 ratio. I’ve heard of people having some throttle issues with the PC and I really haven’t had any with the SB yet.
But either way the SB dose really work thats the one I might go with thanks
Yes there’s definitely quicker throttle response. Some people may say it’s not a big enough change for the money but I couldn’t stand how sluggish it was stock.

Great video! I personally drive a tundra and have been looking into getting a pedal commander or sprint booster. I have read the pedal commander just increases pedal to throttle input for example 20% pedal push and it actually opening the throttle body40%. My question is the sprint booster a 1:1 that just speeds up the throttle body and doesn’t do the acceleration of pedal input to throttle body like the pedal commander does? How’s the customer service with sprint booster? Do they offer a 30day trial period as well? Also I believe the flutter is coming from the computer not sensing proper air ratio since the maf was not reading the proper AFR ratio. I think the real way to test would to use a clear tube with the maf plugged into it and driving around with the camera focused on the throttle body. Anyways thanks for the information great video!
Yeah it’s supposed to be a 1:1 ration with the sprint booster which it seems to be. Not sure what their trial period is and not sure how customer service is since I haven’t had to deal with them yet, but they have commented on 1 or 2 of my videos saying to hit them up with any issues. I have another video in the description here that shows the 1:1 operation.

those things dont react well with these new ram.i had the "PedalComander".it worked well for the first 2mons then it started to act up so i went back to stock.no more issues or codes.these things are more of and issue than helpful/useful"IMHO"!
I read about some issues with the pedal commander as well which is why I tried the Sprint Booster. No problems so far, hopefully it stays that way.
Pedal commander is just a cheap knock off of the Sprint booster just FYI
