    I have just purchased one over the V8. Why ? Not because of cost , I can afford both. Not boasting here but I have heard so many times you only buy one because you can’t afford the GT. I test drove every version and in my opinion the ecoboost was better for everyday driving fun. The v8 suffers from being to heavy in the front end and not responsive enough at low speed. The Turbo has so much power 0-60 and 30-60. It just better. Let’s face it in the UK there are so many cameras you cant speed. I did tune mine and I would give any V8 a run for its money, especially on winding roads. Hell even stock it’s only 1sec behind the V8. The V8 is for those who want to go on the drag or race track on weekends. The only thing you sacrifice is the V8 music. If your that worried play it on your stereo. My last comment is who cares JUST LOOK AT IT, it don’t even have to move😍

    I got the Ecoboost last month, I love it. The speed is enough for me and it's great to drive but I bought it for the looks and it is super to cruise in.

    I recently bought a 2018 ecoboost base model, with 101A package and wheel and stripe package in ruby red. It’s got plenty of power, killer looks, comfortable as a daily driver, and I’m averaging 28 mpg in the two months I’ve owned it - including some spirited driving after the manufacturer’s recommended break in period.

    I've just bought the 2.3l 310BHP, can't wait to pick it up at the weekend! I drove a Ranger for a year and hated to watch the fuel gage drop so fast. I plan to drive the mustang everyday :)

    Everyone wants the V8, who wouldn't? But if you are looking for a daily driver, reasonable consumption levels, and still enjoy around 300bhp - the ecoboost is a great option. I've owned both V8 and I4 cars before and I can honestly say the V8 is AWESOME for the weekend - big, loud, heavy and involving. But when Monday morning comes and you just want to get to work, then the I4 is perfect for everyday. The fact that the I4 has 300+bhp makes it all the more better (not a total sissy car put in other terms). Also perfect for European petrol prices and roads (the V8 will feel too big and heavy) - I love the fact that Marek always focused on "European" roads, prices and style in the context of an American made car. Great review - keep them coming! By the way, is the road you are on "Gierkówka" :) ? Those Strabag signs are everywhere!

      +Timmykay No, this is road number 7 from Warsaw to Gdańsk. And there is a lot of construction work on it at the moment. Gierkówka is in the opposite direction ;)

    While German Autobahn is one of the last places where you can drive as fast as you want, V8 engines like in the new Mustang are one of the last V8's without turbo charge! - just do it ;-)

    Great video. I wish Ford would put the 2.7L ecoboost V6 325 hp & 375 lb/ft torque. In the F150 the 2.7eb is faster than the 5.0 & 3.5eb so it might eat the V8 sales.

      A beautiful and deadly aircraft. The English derived Merlin (Packard built under license in the US) engine made it a killer. 2 engineers died from the strain of converting the Merlin to mass US production.

    The high trim level V8 is far too expensive for a Ford, $48k versus $24 for the base V6 car and you have to look hard to tell the difference. I got the top trim ecoboost and it's plenty fast enough. Put the car in sport mode and the turbo spools like no other. If it's raw speed you're after there are already loads of aftermarket kits you can get that are still cheaper than the V8, one guy is getting 500HP on the ground with his kit. The V8 gets 16MPG and I'm averaging 22 MPG with my lead foot and I don't do much highway driving.

    I have had both I initially bought the ecoboost and was somewhat disappointed there was no theatre so naturally I opted for the V8 GT and was the best decision I made and as far as fuel consumption goes I just drove 2650 miles from Alberta Canada to Florida Usa on a road trip and was driving at 85mph most of the way 135kmh and averaged 8.2 liters per 100km which is amazing check out my videos for the road trip 👍😉

    I bet the economist develops more power than the v8. I guess the only redeeming thing in the v8 favour is that it's an unstressed engine that could sit at 130kmh all day. day in day out

    • @benanderson89
      @benanderson89 8 лет назад +1

      +BillyNoMates1974 The Ecoboost makes 312hp - the V8 makes 421hp. That's a quite a jump.

    • @E52O4
      @E52O4 5 лет назад

      benanderson89 at $4-10K difference between ecoboost and GT (depending on options), the cost for the additional 100+ hp can be quite a jump as well. Both have their good and bad points, just depends on what you are looking for in a Mustang.

    G'day ....Get yourself a REAL car..Not a toy like this..It's an absolute tragedy you guys never got our Ford.. The mighty Ford Falcon...yes the Falcon...Australia developed the car after the US dropped it after 1970..Sadly Falcon finishes this year (2016)...after 56 years continuous service from 1960..The first all Australian Falcon was the XA in 1972..then about 20 new models since..The 4.0 litre initially SOHC but since 2002 DOHC inline 6 , not poxy V6 , is bulletproof , massive torque curve at genuine daily drive range..Ford Australia developed this engine to cope with just about anything..The single Turbo version is breathtaking performance but driven normally will return average fuel figures around 30 mpg..Great engine..not kidding..Then there's the V8 Falcons....Whoa...another amazing history..As I said ,,TRAGEDY that the rest of the Ford world don't know about our Falcon..If you don't believe me , look and see for yourself..Nice review though..Cheers Rod..
