Mod Deep Dives - Chipped

- This is the latest video in a series of deep dive looks at some of the mods that I am using in my games. You may find that these are worth a look for use in your own games.
A deep dive is probably closer to a tutorial video than a showcase video… but it has elements of both while not exactly being either. These are more like explanations of what is possible with each mod and are really intended to help you figure out what a mod does… or does not do… and whether it would be a good fit for your game.
I also want to point out that these videos will be directed from the point of view of PC users using a keyboard and mouse and otherwise running with default settings. If you running on a Mac or console, or use a gamepad on the PC some of the control options and elements will undoubtedly be different, but the functionality demonstrated should still be valid.
Today's mod is Chipped. It really does not add any new functionality, but it does offer over 7,000 varieties of existing blocks and items that will give your world a fresh and diverse look. I think it is a must for any serious builders.

I strongly encourage you to go download the mod and try it for yourself. If you like it, please reach out to the mod owner and let them know. It is always good for mod authors to hear that all their efforts are appreciated and enjoyed and used. It keeps them going and of course, that means more great mods to choose from in the future.

I can't get the ladders to work on the Carpenter's table. Can anyone help?
When you say that you can't get the ladders to work... are you saying that you can't make the different types of ladders using the tool, or are you saying that the ladders you make from the tool don't work?
@@worldbuilder248I was unable to use the ladders I made on the carpenter’s workbench. I found out that you can only use basic oak ladders on the carpenters workbench. Ladders from other mods won’t work (I’m playing All The Mods 9 Minecraft)
Yep... that is the out-of-the-box behavior. I am glad that you figured it out.
I respect this mod's existence for all the builders out there, but I can't stand it.
It's in basically every modpack, it adds 40 or so pages to JEI and the blocks are always incompatible with other mods.
I understand. With the mod mix I normally run, there are literally hundreds of pages on my JEI. I had to get used using search or die of thirst and hunger before I found what I was looking for by browsing.
