For the most part, it absolutely is. Mostly because of how obvious it is that they are running in place with most of the story lines to extend the show. Frenchie going through the same character arc AGAIN. Kimiko going back against shining light/a person from her past. The "Annie did bad stuff before" stuff feels soooo tacked on out of nowhere. If you think the whole thing is great then power to you, enjoy! But no need to try to hand wave away complaints.
It looked like Hughey's mom saw him put something in his coat pocket. He took his coat off and left it in the room when he went to the vending machine. She probably snooped and snagged it and injected it knowing that Hughey was hesitant. I imagine her guilt drove her to do it so Hughey could have his dad back, not knowing the consequences of giving him the drug. Edit: I went back and watched the scene again. She definitely clocked that he had something in his pocket when she walked in. She looked down several times and I think his hand was still in his pocket too. That must have been it.

Instead people just saying “i don’t care what happened to homelander fuck him.” Or “ he’s completely justified.” Seems like a good middle ground for both sides.

Every reactor I've seen so far assumes that Butcher is sick and will die. I think he's healed since he took the right V. He just thinks that the V hasn't changed anything. However, everything he has felt since then is a consequence of the right V. This parasite that lives in him is his V-superpower. Kind of Venom. Parasates feed on their host. That's why Butcher feels weak and sick. Besides, I think Becca and JDM's character are both not just his pure imagination, but the parasite who talks to him. Another possibility is that Butcher is still sick, but the parasite ultimately keeps him alive. Of course, Becca and JDM can both be conceited. Just his conscience. Becca the angel and JDM the devil on his shoulder. No matter what it looks like at the moment, I think Sage has a huge master plan at the end of which there is the destruction of Vaught and of course Homelander. She wants to take revenge on Vaught for having to live like this. It is not a nice life to be the most intelligent person. To be absolutely isolated and to have to give yourself these lobotomies. She already has power in Vaught. She is now CEO, head of security and marketing. She takes over the place and no one notices. She also wants Homelander gone. Before Hughie left the room, he took off his jacket and laid it over the chair.
What I found so horrifying about the scientists is that they preformed these acts on a kid but have no recollection at all. They know what he could do, even as a kid, experimented on him and not even recollect what they did to him everyday for years.
@@FullMetalB Did we watch the same episode? The scientists don't remember because they were scared, they were just doing what they were told. Both Marty and Frank forgot, but Barb remembers. Now she gets to remember forever.

They said they were just doing their job...as an excuse...for doing the experiments. How could they say that if the didn't even remember? How are you even typing words with that little brain power?
@Gremlin_Boi_ We apparently didn't watch the same episode. You literally just said their excuse FOR THE THINGS THEY DID was "we were just following orders". How would they have an excuse for what they did if they didn't even remember doing it? They only thing that was said that wasn't remember was homelander saying frank didn't remember throwing paper into the trash can.
You know that scene in one of the Lilo and Stitch spin offs where Stitch says "Okay!" and lets Lilo go so she can beat that one girl up? That felt like me with Homelander in this episode. Just "Okay the violence is justified this one time."
Omni, I had the same issue with subtitles the past 2 seasons. I found that enabling closed captioning, and then disabling it, leaves the subtitles for Kimiko but nobody else. Definitely some weird stuff on Amazons end.
I’m guessing the mom brought her own Compound V there since she arrived AFTER Hughie, and we know she works for Vought. She might’ve helped make Compound V.
I think Annie should have been bold. Afterwards just saying something, on camera, like “Woman’s been calling me out all day. I honestly thought one of the Seven would be up to scrap. Turns out her only super power is her big mouth. Seriously, woman outs herself as a predator right in front of us and you people just shrug? Kiss my ass.”
Cutting a throat in a hand to hand fight wasn’t who Huey was, until it was. Tactically her best move would have been to pivot to “I honestly didn’t expect to be able to hurt her like that. I expected a fight, not whatever the hell that was.” They’re up against Sage and have to start changing their thinking. They don’t have a choice.
I don’t think that would’ve worked with that crowd. Once you’re perceived as “the enemy“ anything you say goes over their heads, no matter how factually accurate.
yup, I 100% agree with what thisismaria27 said. Also, I don’t think Annie was in any condition to act rationally. The episode shows her still shaky and in tears while talking to Hughie hours(it seems) after the incident. I doubt she would’ve been in any condition to act all cool and girlbossy right in that moment, especially since Firecracker dropping that bomb was totally unexpected. That being said, I do agree that the gang should take Sage’s involvement more seriously and plan accordingly moving forward.
6:54 I don't know WHY Starlight didn't just say, "She's holding an over decade long grudge from back when we were teenagers and our mothers LITERALLY MADE US do everything." It would've been true and not sound as bad. 26:39 Any mother that would let their beliefs get in the way of supporting her own daughter with one of the most difficult decisions for a young woman to make is a shit mom, plain and simple and Starlight is better off with The Boys.
idk why but seeing all that “worms” inside of butcher had me thinking what if his compound V powers are almost the same as Zoe Neuman’s and its worm-esque related
What's so weird, when I watch this show on my computer, there were no subtitles for the sign language or other parts like this, but when I watched it on my phone, the subtitles were there.
It happens sometimes on Amazon Prime's platform. Last time I had to switch it to subtitles then when I switched it back to no subtitles, they showed up for the sign languae and Japanese parts like usual. I think it's just a bug.
Is that story they told Homelander of how he was born true, though? Did he actually rip out of his mother, killing her? We know his father was Soldier Boy, but we don't know who his mother was. She could've been another supe. She could've been Liberty/Stormfront!
I would love to know exactly what they were currently working on in B6. It's not like they had another Homelander locked up in one of those rooms So what in the hell were they working on exactly
That's what firecracker wanted her to do, isn't it obvious? She set it up across the street from starlight. She didn't even try to fight back. Starlight just took the bait.
For Butcher I think that compound V turned his tumor into a worm that rescues it's host when he's abt to die, got out, crawled into the other guy exploded him and went back into Butcher again.
That was weird that the subtitles didn't pop up for you automatically. I seen that happen to someone else as well. For me it popped up automatically and it went away when she finished talking and I watched it at 3:00 a.m. this morning
Hughies mom most likely saw him contemplating the V and then putting it in his pocket, then when she comes in he takes the jacket off and leaves it in the room with her so she didn’t have to really do any slight of hand or anything just grabbed it out of there.
So it looked like his mum looked over and may have caught a glimpse of the vial, presumably she just shoved it in the iv while Hughes was at the drink machine.
I think Butcher has a V'd up sentient tumor. It protects the host, which will eventually kill the host (Butcher). They'll have to fight that thing to the death!
That is weird that you had problems with the subtitles at that one scene. Cause I didn’t have the subtitles on and they came up automatically when she started to Kimiko in her native tongue.
I’m sticking with Hughes’s mom isn’t real. The doctor was addressing him not the mom with the power of attorney. I do think now that maybe she’s there cause he’s not able to deal with what’s going on with the pops. She’s the one who’s got to make the pull the plug decision last episode and this episode to give the pops the V.
i’m thinking butchers powers are kinda linked to the animated series diabolical in one of the episodes a person with cancers gets V and the cancer becomes a monster that devours everything what if after butcher took the V his cancer is now a living thing inside of him like in that episode
She was meeting with a doctor in this episode and had her power of attorney docs reviewed by a lawyer at the Starlight House. She’s been seen and interacted with people. Unlike Butcher’s friend Joe, who is most definitely a hallucination.
She was right when she mentioned the attorney power, and she took the V from Hughie to give to his dad- she isn't a hallucination. Negan is definitely fake though
A friend of mine said that in the comics, Frenchy has always been gay And that kimiko 37:04 loves him, but he basically told her it’s not going to happen
Hughie's mom didn't nab the V off of him. He took his jacket off with the vial inside and left it on the chair. I knew immediately what they were doing with it cause it was such a weird and out of place move.
20:20 I love this for Firecracker, she is such a composite of so many racist Reich-Wing Harpies. 24:25 Sage is fast becoming one of my favourite characters. I would hope that she does a Face Turn at some point, but this ain't Ted Lasso, and that red stuff ain't barbecue sauce. 29:59 It took me a few minutes, but it makes sense. She works for Vought selling nonsense supplements and essential oils, I guess she had a line on an actually essential oil. I really hope the opening of the next episode isn't just Simon Pegg exploding like a meat-balloon.
Since someone already said Butcher's tumor is like the symbiote in Venom, I'll further speculate Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the voice of that tumor. Butcher will stay alive as long as the tumor feeds.
So we know homelanders dad is soldier boy. I’m guessing his mom is stormfront. She has been around forever. You know how these mad scientists are. Two of the strongest superheroes together in one child.
I guessed that too when Soldier Boy mentioned Liberty during the Herogasm episode. If that's the case, would that mean they had a recessive blonde gene since both of their hairs are dark. We know Stormfront's natural hair is dark because of her old wedding photos and not her Liberty persona
Didn't they mention this episode that Homelander killed his own mother during birth? Also, during the previous season, Soldier Boy's words were "I beat my meat into a cup" meaning he gave his semen for experiments.
@@Francis... Not necessarily. You can fertilise another woman's embryo and implant it into a different woman's womb. I don't think Stormfront is his mum but it is The Boys so who knows
Sooo A-train can only run very fast? Or can he do other things fast? Cause if I were him I’d search homelanders apartment at super speed and get outta there as fast as possible
7:42 The moment we stop being concerned for these people, because they're clearly already dead. 10:38 Improper forklift-safety procedure there. The forks should be fully lowered, or tipped down so the ends contact the ground. Somebody's getting written up. 16:35 Homelander is really finding new levels of psychopathy this episode, but given all the revelations about his childhood, it's increasingly hard to blame him (especially in this case). 18:45 Wax on...wax off...cut throat. If do properly, no can defend.
(comment unrelated to the video) I love how nobody bats an eye at the deep and sage scenes but the moment bisexual frenchie kisses a guy, an outrage happens 😂
the reason people are mad isnt that frenchie is bisexual or that kissed a guy, its because they set up him and kimiko for three seasons, and his new relationship seems to have nothing to do with the main plot.
@@kzillajr Might not have anything to do with the main plot (at least for now) but it certainly has to do with the entire theme of the season, which is facing your past. Frenchie, Kimiko, Starlight, Hughie, Homelander, Butcher--all of them are doing exactly that

@@Francis... he killed the woman carrying the egg as a surrogate
@@Kidapollo92 Which means Stormfront can't be the mother.
That Lab is like Dr. Mengeles funtime playroom.
So you can't feel an ounce of sympathy for them.
what did butcher and mm do with the 50k? i didnt get the joke that they made
Has anyone thought about the fact that Annie and Hughie's baby also could've been born a supe? That complicates the whole choice even more imo!!!
Looks like Homelander destroyed both of Marty's heads, eh, eh?
Definitely one of the few times I'm on Homelander's side. After what those scientists did to him he might as well kill them.

I love how nobody bats an eye at the deep and sage scenes but the moment bisexual frenchie kisses a guy, an outrage happens 😂
the reason people are mad isnt that frenchie is bisexual or that kissed a guy, its because they set up him and kimiko for three seasons, and his new relationship seems to have nothing to do with the main plot.
@DrewMack-oj3lh im merely just relaying the information, I have no stake in this lol.
@@kzillajr Might not have anything to do with the main plot (at least for now) but it certainly has to do with the entire theme of the season, which is facing your past. Frenchie, Kimiko, Starlight, Hughie, Homelander, Butcher--all of them are doing exactly that
@@kzillajr in season 3 they clearly stated their relationship was a brother/sister relationship. So where was the outrage in season 3? Yea no..the hate came from a man kissing another man
I feel sorry for homelander for the first time. he didn't have a childhood plus spending years as a test subject .
It upsets me that Kara's actor is playing Firecracker in this.
🎉
✨👍✨❤️🔥🤏💥
Mom works at vought. She probably got it from there.
Did Hughie's mom just give his dad Compound V? Why would she do that?
Seems like it, she's been giving off odd vibes all season and I feel like her doing what Hughie didn't is going to cause some serious consequences
Damn, Butcher has Super cancer now
Homelanders want for approval being manufactured is soooooo lame.
No it's not...I think it's pretty awesome and it makes sense as they installed it to protect themselves from Homelander
@@MacXHammer Yes, it is. Extremely lame.
I agree, the show would be more entertaining if homelander just murdered everyone 24/7. I mean, who likes characters with depth right?
@@djrjdhthiwhdoe4365 hahahahaha didn't take long for that old ridiculous cop out. Yeah, just make nonsensical assumptions and attack people cause that's all you can muster. Taking the most interesting aspect of a character and making it completely manufactured is LAME. It's horrible character development. That's the problem. But sure, mush brain, just fail at being sparky instead and show the world how much of an idiot you are.
@@FullMetalBdamn I think you're the only one who is lame in here
After this episode i would say Antony Starr is literally best actor ever ! His facial expressions are scary good !
