This vid inspires me a ton. I have a 2012 solid grey 9C1 that I’m working toward a manual swap. I’ve added a TSP stage 3 cam, Corvette heads, OTR intake and full exhaust. The factory G8 interior mods in this car have me salivating. It completes the package. Well done!
The caprice are badass. I ended up picking one up back in May that was bone stock 2013 with 88k miles out in Houston. Love it. Now I've done a lot of work to it, full suspension, new brakes around, btr ls3 cam, dod delete, trunion upgraded rockers, hand ported the heads, intake and tb, long tube headers to xpipe and dynamax race bullets. About to refresh the trans when I install this circle d billet converter. Then its time to fab up my turbo setup
How are these cars in terms of general reliability? My buddies are concerned about me getting one because 'it's a cop car, they've been beat on and components probably wont last'
They are really reliable. The dod is the only major thing to worry about. But like any car you're going to have normal issues. I have a G8 and i haven't had any major problems. The main thing is just staying on top of any cars maintenance the more you let it go the more stuff you will have to fix. I say go for it.
@@1320orRoll That's good to hear man, thanks! My brother had a G8 I got to borrow for the summer while he was away a few years ago. He sold it shortly after. I loved the car but once I learned about the Caprice it seemed a little more my style. I've since test drove one and it met my expectations and I'm hoping to maybe go for one next summer. What's the best way of going about purchasing one? Police auctions have them much cheaper than dealerships right?
@@danjohnson1568 Yeah the auctions would probably be your best bet. But if you find one that's very clean for around 13k with a full interior i would get it because the ones at the auctions 9 times out of 10 needs interior. So if you want a full interior one make sure you get a detective car. They are in much better shape and also don't have the police decals on them so that means less work for the printer also.
Holden Caprice an Australian made vehicle, what a good choice, sounds great mate. We also got the WN 2014-2017. We received about 15k Caprice but we only got them as “cop cars” I had a 2012 PPV but now have a 2016 PPV. I love the updated interior.
I have an OTR intake and it worked so well, I had to retune the car because it got so much more fresh air! Also it looks original, the fit & finish are first rate. Caprices really are amazing vehicles. Fun to throw around and play with!
that thing is freaking awesome i have so many questions I heard on the video u said u did a interior swap what year was the vehicle you swapped from and how much power u putting down mannn that thing is SICK
Buying a 9c1 for an LS Swap to an 88 Caprice. Not sure what I should do about the body but if anyone is looking for a clean 9c1 body with less than 85k miles on it let me know lol.

Manual is way more fun. Need a TR6060 ASAP
So cool supercharged LS with the looks of a stretched mid/ late 2000s Impala and rwd.
From the b-pillar forward it's the same car as a Holden Commodore. Shares nothing in common with a Chevy Impala.
@@metalheadrelic9873besides the fact that the ass end of it is identical to an impala?😂

You must remove the Traction control fuse that prevents it from doing burnouts.
How do you do that ?
@devrobandxz929 very easy look up the Fuze box diagram online.
Does it have Kooks long tube headers?
