    Use Acetone on a rag to remove the sticker residue .

      We have tried so many things! It’s been a rough one for sure! And the sticker peeled patches of paint off…

      Having driven both extensively, the CVPI has more of a reputation/mean look in my opinion, and better reliability, they're just older now. Last CVPI 2011, Last Caprice PPV 2017. The 6.0 v8 is awesome, both cars are really. I like both chevy and ford. Just lower idle hours preferably & 100k or less miles, for the Caprice displacement on demand (DoD) delete would be very helpful in terms of reliability, I don't like the 4 cylinder cruising mode, good concept, bad execution. $50 for an OBD2 Plug-In Device that disables the 4 cylinder DOD mode, or if you plan on modding the car for power (cams, headers, exhaust, intake, maybe gears, etc, then you could just replace all the factory Caprice PPV DOD internals.
      Caprice has independent rear suspension, CVPI solid axle, CVPI lower maintenance costs, but nothing huge if you know what you're looking for and common issues on both models/different years. Hope everyone can enjoy either of em.

    The spotlight bro the pole & mount is specific to the car the bulbs are universal but finding on for a Caprice can be hard it's like finding one for a impala 9c1

    The DOD design is actually very bad. They prematurely wear out the engine. Delete that shi

      They’re really not that bad. If you find a detective car you’re solid mine is and it’s almost mint.

      You’re crazy. I know a few people who bought wrecked ones just get the engine and trans out of them. I picked one up from auction with less than 100 thousand miles and the only problem it had was a control arm. Every where I go people ask me if it’s for sale and I haven’t even upgraded the inside yet.
      There is NOTHING trash about this G8/SS replica. 😂
      Edit: I barely paid 8Gs for it. I haven’t seen any for sale under 10. I’m looking for a blue or red one. Love this car!

      @@Carla_314 so you bought a cheap POS that no1 wanted until u were driving it. Congratulations. Just saying as a mechanic that works on a fleet of them. But wtf do I know lol...enjoy it.

      @Carla_314 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@MrGiffmoney I wouldn’t say no one wanted it. There were plenty of people driving them before I got mine. As for it being a POS, I guess that all depends on your preference. I haven’t had any trouble from mine. Honestly you could say that about any vehicle with the DOD because that is the only problem the engine in these cars are known for. I took care of that when I got it….but you go ahead with your “knowledge” of the cars you work on everyday. It’s really only your opinion. There is a whole country out there that would beg to differ. Your opinion is just that. An opinion. I’ll keep chopping around in my project car when the mood suits me. Can’t beat the fun I have in it for the overall price I paid. 😘
