Ben, MD Live isn't in Baltimore. The Horseshoe is the one in Baltimore. MD also happens to have probably the best poker players in the country outside of Vegas imo.
The drive to Cherokee is beautiful, my experience at the poker room there, not so beautiful. Unfriendly staff, terrible table service, trash everywhere, and this was before the pandemic. Hopefully the poker room has improved as well as employee attitude (only in the poker room.) Keep on truckin!
This is my home casino and it is MUCH improved. Huge room. Right next to the sports betting area. Entire staff is friendly (save one or two).

Bottom line, you left poker nirvana back in Reno (low rake, unlimited free booze….and of course Kayla) to search for the Poker Wizard of Oz. I believe you will find that there’s no place like home.

This hand is a perfect example of why you don't slow play. He stacks you if he just fast plays flop and/or turn.
When the series of videos of your trip are all posted, will you do an end of series review of where you enjoyed playing the most, the least, etc.? Glad you won again, and even better that you folded that A high flush vs str8 flush. If this had happened on the road trip against an unknown opponent and without showing each other 1 card, would you call figuring the actions were the same as at the Peppermill?

I’ve had that exact thing happen to me in my first ever tournament, I had ace of clubs with a decent kicker, flopped a flush draw and hit it on the on the turn , we both were all in by the river and he shows me and he flopped a straight flush over me turning an ace high flush , I will NEVER forget the way that dude looked at me when he turned his hand over 😢
Love you Ben! But I was screaming “check” when the board paired when he tried raising after the turn… I felt he flopped trips or had the nut straight flush…

@BenDeach I actually just flopped a 9high straight flush the other day with 59❤ in a 5 way flop and utg jammed for 500 in a 1/2 game. He had K10o.
9 high had been hit earlier in the day so the progressive jackpot was $47 😅

@Jermo484 well it does. This isn't a computer simulation we're running thousands of hands. That exact spot with all the variables and reads at play will come up exactly once in his life.

Andy Stack ran into this exact scenario against Mariano at the Hustler recently but he couldn’t fold his hand. Andy ended up doubling up Mariano for a cool 610K pot.
Wasn't the exact same... the board didn't pair, Andy had to call.
@@carlsullivan8861 I agree with Ben’s analysis that a set or 2 pairs hand wouldn’t likely raise him on the turn with a 4 liner straight on board there. So we can rule out full house at the end. The question I have for Ben is, if Mr.Z didn’t show him the 8 of hearts at the end, would he still fold his hand?
He should have turned over the 10 ❤. That card would have kept a full house in play, also many bluffs, causing you to call probably.

MD live is shit for cash these days. All the action guys play 5 card PLO or they go to MGM National Harbor by DC just down the road.
I love live but I drive the extra 30 these days to MGM.
