Brutal loss, I felt the pain when each bad beat came down. I'm not glad to see it, but I have to tell you this really humanizes you to the rest of us who are out there getting wrecked ourselves. Keep it coming Brad, love the content. Good, bad and ugly.
This is why you have my respect. You show the good, bad and the ugly when it comes to playing poker. Win or lose, we're still here with you Brad! Hopefully you're back in the Win column next time out lol.
Damn....you looked so drained both physically and spiritually. But you know what, this is why you are the best. Anyone can show VLOGs of big wins and small losses, but you are as real as it gets showing the best to worst days. My best takeaways from this is/ was your commentary. My favorite line was "My terrible day even terribler". We need to make that merchandise. 🤣. All joking aside, bottom line you can't beat luck. The set over set was a saving grace from another ripped loss. And one thing I've learned that KKs are literally the biggest Ace magnets ever. It's insane. I don't know if you have seen Lex O Poker's session with his little brother but he made the coolest shout out to you so definitely go check that out. It will lift your spirits. I can't wait to see you play in the WPT Championship. I'm super excited especially seeing how deep you've gotten in high main events (10k buy in +). Keep up the big push and that 30k will be a distant memory.
I’ve really enjoyed watching your growth over the last several years. You’ve gone meteoric these last few years so I know you can shake off losses like this and focus on the future wins. Thanks for showing that the pros even have bad days man, helps us little guys keep going!
There's simply no difference losing 500 dollars in a 2/5 game and 20000+ in a huge game, except for scale. The size of game multiplies the upswings and downswings. It doesn't matter, it's part of the game. Your attitude in the video is commendable. And Doug calling out "you lost the stand up" was pure gold.
Agreed, especially about Polk. Reminds me of a story I heard of a couple buddies/roommates playing together, and one got busted and was leaving. His buddy called out "hey! You forgot something" and tossed him the rubber band that had been around his cash. There's something brutal and yet uplifting about that story. This game isn't for the faint of heart.
I’ve never played higher than 2/5 but I’ve had sessions that felt like this. I feel like you had such a positive energy the entire time instead of taking it out on yourself, your table mates, and your fans you gave us the best of you and it’s absolutely incredible to see. I’m a huge fan and I enjoy watching every episode… really wanted you to win this one.
Doug's "Brad ! Brad! You lost the stand up game!" as a dejected Brad is vlogging his tilt while walking away from his worst session ever may be the most epic needle of all time.
You're still winning over 100k after a 30k loss in 2022, by faaaar your best year yet. I've been watching for years now since you were playing low stakes and it's been incredible. The growth you've gone through as a poker player can't be anything but commendable. Keep your head up and get back that 30k!
At least you have the ability to try and recover and enjoy what you are doing in your life. Slight undertone that you are running good not only in the poker table but at life. Even if you don't read this, all the best. I'm sure your fans will be cheering you on and your friends and family as well.
Losing is a part of poker, people shouldn't play let alone try and get better from the course if seeing you lose like this discourages them. You got me into poker in '17 and you, along with Rampaage and others, have been my inspiration to better myself in the game and compete at higher levels and I cant wait to compete with you guys in some million dollar tourney or in a cash game. Soon real soon.. Keep up the good work bro
Brad, I hope when you book a loss like this, you remember you have almost a million followers behind you to support your future endeavors. Keep your head up! Good job on building the channel 👍
Brutal man, nothing can take the wind out of your sails quicker then getting burned on the next best hand multiple times in a row. Really surprised you didn’t walk away earlier but it is what it is. Momma said they’ll be days like this. Good to hear you were able to turn it around and recoup.
Bro, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I just have to say that unless you’re hiding some key hands (which I don’t think you are) you DID NOT play poorly. That was some of this sickest run bad I’ve ever seen. And I’m including Negreanu’s epic High Stakes run bad. You are one of my favorite players and easily the best poker vlogger there is sir. I know it’s easier said than done but don’t question your skill for a second. You’re top shelf, that’s all there is to it.
The loss videos are as important as the wins Brad. Not only will you learn more about yourself as a person and a player, it's important for us as your audience to know the reality of the stakes you are playing with - and that even with all of your experience you can still have bad days. That said, I hope you don't have one of these sessions again for a very long time.
I watched this live. I was bumming right along with you... and a great lesson on the risk we take when we play. Props to showing the good with the bad.
The tough sessions are the ones you learn the most from, and never forget. Congrats for taking it like a man. Good sportsmanship is so important. You don’t wanna be like Phil H.
Great vlog, horrible bad beats and my soul hurt with every bad beat but I really appreciate seeing both sides of the coin. Your skills have increased exponentially over the years I have watched your vlog and the analysis and thought process you share are second to none. Good luck going forward.
I know you read all posts from your subscribers Brad…….your first intuition of taking a nap was the best one. I did the same once and it costed me 7,500. I ALWAYS nap before I play when I fly in somewhere. Not a guideline, this now my RULE. Love the vlog.
Losses are fails are part of life. The most important parts is to learn from our mistakes and try not to repeat them. Thanks for sharing!! You're a cool dude Brad. Right out of the gate your AK vs. Ten Ten that was a terrible bluff. Ha ha ha... No wonder you had a losing session...
I actually don't mind the bluff too much. In my mind, worst case scenario was that I was up against TT-QQ. I ran into the worst case scenario, almost got the bluff through, then got called and still had 28% equity.
Brad keep the vlogs flowing, its an escape for me, I feel like I'm part of the journey and one of my future goals is to be able to get to a meet up game! :)
Brutal session and great idea not rebuying after the KK disaster ! Some days just aren’t your days ! You’re still a great ambassador and a gentleman for the game ! Best wishes for the run good to return ! Also, first time I’ve seen Rhonda on a stream … what a gorgeous beauty ! Invite her to more games lol . Happy Thanksgiving Brad to you and your family !
Brad, this is why you are my favourite poker vlogger.. it's hard when we lose but the next season can swing up..keep going dude and enjoy your content, so thankyou cheers Rob from Australia 🇦🇺
I love the fact that you post videos showing your big losses when others have said all you do is post winning sessions and never show your losses! Keep it up Brad! #LankyWhiteGuyClub
You do realize he just took 4 in the StormX invitational for over 50k right? I dont think he's all about getting it back from youtube as much as he enjoys making content and sharing his experience and thoughts to help promote the game and get other interested, when I first started watching Brad I didn't even play poker now I play atleast once or twice a week all becuse of his videos.
I've been dreading this vlog...but I was still excited to see it get released. I know you've been steamrolling the poker world since this loss but appreciate you showing the dark side of the journey as well.
do you think maybe you were winners tilting that session? youve been running so hot and all your moves have worked over the last few months that maybe subconsciously you think itll continue. and youre more likely to call off or bluff it off bc you believe itll go well. just a thought. thanks for all the great content!
Just wanted to say congrats on the Card Player cover. I've been watching you and Andrew from the very beginning. I could not be happier for the both of you..well done young man !!
Hey Brad you took this very well and are a role model to many. I hesitate to say this next part for many reasons but if I may offer a piece of advice when it comes to being "in the moment". when you run bad it is essential to not let negative emotions envelope you. AK airball shove was poor. A2 shove was pretty bad. JJ you can get away from with the Q on the turn. Even the QJ flush when u get 3bet raised on the river you can find a fold. I think youve run bad but also played poorly this session. You're better than this Brad. Tough day at the office but you'll bounce back~
I have been working really hard to add 4 bet bluffs into my game. They work great until they don’t. I feel like a real poker player when I see you run your hand into monsters like the rest of us. That magic feeling that you can take it down isn’t always so magical after all. So easy to see monsters under the bed for the rest of those sessions. I have always loved watching your stream, but the fact that you took us through this whole painful road just seals your place as the best of them all. Can’t believe how hard it must have been to have to dissect all of this bad spots!
Hey bro, long time watcher, yet first time to comment. I’ve seen that stream live just after having a similar game to yours the day before. Seeing this now with your comments makes it so relatable. As you i kept getting bad beats and tripled my worst loss. Obviously that came with thoughts of quitting but your videos and watching you handle this kind of loss and others before keeps me faithful that i can actually get through this slump.. hope you’ll get back on the horse of rungood. The scales will balance us both back. Much love bro, peace and gl ☘️
Well appreciate you showing the ups and downs of the poker life. You certainly didnt play your best this night.. but you also had some pretty bad luck. Looked ahead and I'll just say congrats. Looking forward to your next video.
Sleep is key Brad. I must admit I didnt get my usual kick of dopamine watching this!! Keep it up man you're amazing. So looking forward to see you win the World Champions!
Well that's one way to get all the "run bad" out of the way quickly. You're a very good player and despite the coolers you took, over time you'll come out ahead. Best wishes Brad !!!
Oh man, that was brutal to watch. You got absolutely wrecked by the deck at times there! But fair play for still putting these types of blogs out. Also, hyped for that tournament blog!
I don't think I'd have your grace and endurance under such absolute brutally bad luck. I'm both impressed with and feel awful for you at the same time. Your patience there was f'n legendary.
Doug both yelling out to you that you lost the stand up game AND covering you, is why I like him. And you. You're a good guy, Brad. Keep at it. Everything is temporary, but death.

The good, bad, and the ugly. Thanks for showing us the ups and downs of this whole ride you share with us. At least Rhonda was there to keep the scenery worthwhile for entertainment value. 😂
@Brad Owen with that tease at the end haha. It's so awesome seeing the good the bad and the ugly man, tough cards at the Lodge but you will climb back out. Cheers buddy!
Enjoy watching you. Please take care of yourself. I understand the short turnaround time for this and not sleeping much. Just limit those. It's even more emotionally hurtful when you're that tired and beat down.
Hey Brad, I've been your fan for about 6 years now. Coincidentally we both ran bad gambling and it's really humbling how humans have wins and loses. You handled it like a champ and good luck with winning again
Brutal loss, I felt the pain when each bad beat came down. I'm not glad to see it, but I have to tell you this really humanizes you to the rest of us who are out there getting wrecked ourselves.

Wow he did. Ughh guess I gotta watch the video when he posts it to find out
Everyone loves a good comeback story :D

Hey Brad you took this very well and are a role model to many.
I hesitate to say this next part for many reasons but if I may offer a piece of advice when it comes to being "in the moment".
when you run bad it is essential to not let negative emotions envelope you. Doubt is powerful. this is why "when it rains it pours" is a common saying, if you catch my drift.
it's difficult to explain and more so to understand, but this will become widely known in our world within the next 2 years. it is not science fiction.
simple as I can put it is this- you cannot *worry* about outcomes when you are in this vibrational state (where things are already going "bad"). if you worry about outcomes in this vibrational state, the outcome you worry for will manifest. this will soon be known as science fact, not fiction.

The good, bad, and the ugly. Thanks for showing us the ups and downs of this whole ride you share with us. At least Rhonda was there to keep the scenery worthwhile for entertainment value. 😂
We all kinda needed to see this. I was starting to think you were invincible. Nice to see you're actually human
@Brad Owen with that tease at the end haha. It's so awesome seeing the good the bad and the ugly man, tough cards at the Lodge but you will climb back out. Cheers buddy!
Tough Day, it happens to all of us. Appreciate you showing the good and the bad.
Enjoy watching you. Please take care of yourself. I understand the short turnaround time for this and not sleeping much. Just limit those. It's even more emotionally hurtful when you're that tired and beat down.
That was brutal
That one hurt to watch. I feel for you. Thanks for sharing the lows as well as the highs.
Love ya poker vlogs brad always a joy to see n da players too some legends here . Congrats on ya wins
Hey Brad, I've been your fan for about 6 years now.
Coincidentally we both ran bad gambling and it's really humbling how humans have wins and loses. You handled it like a champ and good luck with winning again
Oooooo Brad. What a cliffhanger. Nice tease haha
