@@cheeseymadness7391 The game just officially released yesterday, after about a week of previews from streamers & let's-players who got it early. I doubt there are mods yet, even if it supports them.
I think I like that game. Just two simple questions. Why did you build everything into a factory? As you can build it on the dirt/gras the factory building is just optional. :P And second one, wouldn't it be much more efficient to build the belts to the trucks and build up the unloading area there? The drones will have much shorter distances to fly and the won't block each other while entering and leaving the building.
Yeah but then you accidentally end up manufacturing thousands more than you actually need and you think that probably have enough to complete the game but then you run out in an hour or two
I embraced the screws with the bolted frame recipe and screws made from iron ingots why? It used less resources for increased power consumption, quite a bargain
After seeing him build the factory, I am honestly not sure if he planned it all before the video, which would take a lot of work and still be amazing, or if he actually didn't know the stuff beforehand and just had good intuition.
@@gruntmaster1 ive never played this game but it looks verry unoptimized. think he just made it up as he went along. the coal from the river can go into the big container in the factory immediatly instead of transfered to other rail. and other stuff
He misunderstood an important detail - the presence of taxes. You cannot afford to build redundancy in this game. You pay taxes on everything you have, so if you have anything unoptimized as redundant, it costs you big time. The tax feature is the big trick to the game, the difficulty factor, because taxes go up over time, creating an effective time-limit on the game, where after a certain amount of tax raising, more and more products become unprofitable, costing more tax than you make from selling the stuff.
@@britishknightakaminininja1123 Oh wow, that sucks. Why would anyone in their right mind put a time limit in a game obviously designed to be a time sink?
Dude, I was watching a few other RUclipsrs play this game over the past couple days and the whole time I was thinking "I wish Kibitz would play this." This is awesome!
Kibz, thank you for actually reading things and learning how the game works! I've watched some other youtubers play this game and it made me want to pull my hair out lol
For the crates to get in the carts use an Unload station with the sucking up machine and Done it goes into the pipes just use the unloading pipe and YAS!
STORMY by your logic Factorio + subnautica + factorio = automation empire So there’s twice as much factorio than subnautica in this? Makes sense I guess
I have watched a few others playing this game and I have been hoping to find a "professional" playing it so I can see what potential it has. Thank you for the video and please keep it up. I have learned more in this video than 5 of some others I have watched.
Can't play the game myself. No PC to speak of. But I've been watching playthroughs...Watched and am watching your satisfactory playthroughs and one thing I'd like to say is try hard to separate your Satisfactory habits and thoughts from your AE thoughts. They are very different. For example (and this is the only tip I'll ever offer on this series) the crate makers have a limited number of crates they can make before they can make more. Look forward to the next video!
Hey mate just wanted to say Thanks Ur Vids are awesome and make my day i have fun to watch u and i think u all realised that my english is not the greatest thats Because iam Germany so greatings . But Kibitz pls stay funny and good as u are right now 👍🍀
containers are your friend. :P you can gauge how many mine cars you need based upon the fullness of the containers. you CAN link containers via the tubes and the containers will share the materials between them. on containers, the direction of the linking tube does not matter. where the direction is important is on machines. create makers and refineries have a charge per month for each one you have, so being efficient with them will help immensely. 1 crate maker can supply 3 refineries, roughly.
If you want to get crates back onto mine carts, just add in input pipe at the end of a step conveyor followed by a single unload station, then select its destroy all crates option. the input pipe suck all the crates contents up and then the crate gets deleted
I need a game that is like factorio and rimworld combined.. or oxygen not included.. or satisfactory.. Something with logistics AND random npc interaction..
Understand a few things. You will constantly demolish and rebuild stuff as technologies get better. You will need to run pretty much all the resources through research stations eventually. Many research unlocks also require production goals to be hit. Also the pipes, tracks, conveyors and such do not cost much to build, so to speed up things you might move stuff around... like putting unload stations right next to the trucks. The bots are dumb so I would only have one longer pickup station. Keep a close watch on how fast things process. You might need say one oil to run one refinery, but you might be able to run 3 refineries per box maker. All storage containers connect together act as one big storage container. You can only load one train car or mine car at a time. Eventually you will want the refineries next to the mines and then use mine cars to move it to research stations or factories that combine resources and ship them out. The more refining and combining the more things are worth. Trains ship more than trucks and rockets earn more per load so to hit you goals you will need to replace all the roads with trains or rockets. Water increases the efficiency of everything, but is not needed. Raised mine cars tracks go a little faster, but not much, but they do cost more. Boxes can be demolitioned or re-used, but it is best to use as few of boxes as you need. Do not put research into drone speeds or truck as you will replace them pretty quick. You will always use mine cars. To hit your final goals you will likely need at least 24 mines if not more. Equipement casts money every month, plus you get taxed on all the resources you sell (on truck, trains, and rockets). Crops are the same as mines, but you can put them anywhere. There is a bug (possibly) that lets you put 4 oil pumps on one oil hole if you rotate them so they all face into the hole from all four directions. Refined oil is a pretty good resource to make money off when you get that high.
just a quick info comment. -the unload belts set an end to the belt so no other belts will conect to them. -between the crates on a belt must alwas be at least one free space (idk why its just how it is) - its good to bundle the unload belts at one point because the drones wil all target the same crate which resolves in a fleet of drones cycling across the place searching for a new crate every time the they targeted gets picked up - u can do a thing like instant transport by conecting several loading bins into a chain ( it's expensive but way more efficient than using minecarts) i hope i didnt spoiler anything and that it was usefull^^
Factorio: Spends many thousands units of expensive manufactured products to create tens to hundresds of research packs. AE: Lets just load it with rocks. XD
It will be fantastic, but I really hope you dont abandon satisfactory for it. Really. Please dont. Dont do the Cities Skylines Move on Satisfactory for this one.
Really, unlike most games, I can't honestly say I've ever abandoned any "automation" type game. There are only periods where I'm not currently playing it. I always seem to come back to them sooner or later.
ducktape a drill to a generator, place it on the ground, and out comes a neverending stream of filled containerboxes... yea, I guess that's a little too simplified for my taste.
Hey you can probably later build machines to load the resources of conveyor belts on the cars you make good videos and although I speak German, I defy you anyway👌👍
You may wanna have a collection bin for each miner, otherwise they're not mining anything until your cart comes around again. OR enough minecarts to keep them going continuously. Which seems like too many.
I'm not in the factory business; I'm in the EMPIRE business!
Let me know what you guys think of the game!
Omg please tell me there are mods because you should definitely try them if they do exist
FYI, you can suck stuff out of crates into containers into carts. Empty crates disapear if they get moved further on to an unload belt after that.
