3D gaming at 60fps + high settings is astonishing! Saying that as a long-time 3D Vision user. 2D is obsolete. Acer needs to send these samples to all tech reviewers but also make a big size monitor so they can test it on proper PCs and get the full desktop experience.

how does the acer work and how are the game 3d compatible ?
Will this work correctly with 3d Blu-rays? Does a Blu-ray player treat it as a proper 3D display?
FYI There is a VESA mount on this device, it's behind the kickstand.

1000% agree that this needs a Vesa mount... My monitor setup is currently a three wide arrangement of 2K monitors that I'm planning on swapping out with a single 5120x1440 curved monitor soon. I have a utility monitor on the top shelf of my desk as well, but now I can't help but imagine _this glorious 3D panel_ on a vertical arm that I can swing up and down. When I wanna use the _BIG_ ultrawide, I swing the arm up, and when I want 3D front and center, I swing the arm down. Vesa mounts would be perfect for that setup... I'll have to rig something so much more janky to make that work without the Vesa mounts.

@@MekelKasanova I'm fascinated, I love the effect in Oculus and have dreamed of seeing it on a monitor screen since my childhood days of postcards with halography. The future for me came after your video. I had seen all the projectors and monitors before and it was all wrong. I understand that the trick is the cameras that track the eyes. Finally this technology has become available to us.
@@motionislive5621 word, it's wild that this product has no hype behind it. I check for news on it erry few days. I dont know if you ever fucked with the 3ds but if you ever loaded up really good 3d images on it the effect was so good. literally vr in a window. I'm guessing the technology died because all the popular use cases were done really poorly. The kind of 3d where it's artificial layers

I see a fourm on acer's website where people are discussing this product as if it's already out. (talking about compatibility, drivers, ect) But I cant find any information about how they got it. Where can I buy it?

How does it render the two steroscopic images? Do they actually have an own driver? Does it work with 3D vision games? What is it compatible with?
Didn't you ever see those 3D book marks with dinosaurs on them or birds or whatever? You change the angle and they move. It's doing the same thing but onscreen
@@KobraVR Yes, that's hwo it's presented in 3D. But for creatig the three dimensional image the display needs the actual 3D data for changing an angle at first. So there ahs to bee some image priocessor with driver support that connects to DirectX or somewhat ..
Does the 3D work with steam deck since it's linux?
Question, Can several people watch 3D content at the same time or the eye tracking gets confused and starts jumping the image and doing crosstalk? Gee I would like to get one of the Acer Predator Spatial Labs 27 for my RIG. My 3D TV died and there aren't replacements so far. But glasses free. I'm in!!!
Damn! I am still playing with my old LF 25" polarized 3D, because I cannot go back to flat gaming! Have been hoping für stereoscopic technologies to come back because they are just insanely good for gaming (opposed to movies and tv stuff!). but WHY to hell are they only offering tiny silly toy displays and no fully grown 3D display in 27"+?
Probably because of the pixel density... the small screen is 4k because of having to seperately showing info for the left and right eye. On Acer's site they recommend a rtx 2080 or higher, because you have to play your games at 4k 60fps for it to look good. So for a 27inch monitor they would probably have to make it 8k... good luck playing games at 8k 60fps :) (yes I also wished there would be a bigger version, but it makes sense they don't have it yet)
@@blabloe1497 Pixel density for 3D 4K 60hz gaming on my 65" OLED was great, with a custom EDID. Didn't ever think I need 8k+, and that was with it only showing half the lines to each eye.

I'm not a gamer, and have no interest in gaming. I want a monitor which I can use to view stereo photography. No one who reviews this monitor ever shows how it might be used for viewing stereo photographs. That is, what kind of file format is necessary, what software is necessary, etc. Does this monitor have a mode where it will interleave a side-by-side stereograph, or does software on the computer have to interleave the image?
Those are my thoughts exactly. I've been taking 3D photos and movies for over 60 years. I've scanned them all onto my computer, and I've been taking additional 3D material with a Fuji W3 digital stereo camera. I want to know if I can play .mpo files on it like a stereo television. I bought a LumePad, to use as a monitor, and it was a complete failure.
I want to know if this will display stereos taken myself and stored on USB external hard disks.

Not sure, but honestly, I'll take 60fps modern games in 3D over HDR any day.
HDR is hyped too much. I turn it off in my oled 32” monitor and I don’t lose anything.
