I'll probably pick it up in a sale in a couple of years. Disappointed by the average scores it has been receiving.

They aren’t that bad I’ve enjoyed games that had much worse than a 76 average. Although I think this one is a matter of personal opinion it I like these types of games so I really think I’ll enjoy it.

I still bought this and I'm excited to play it. I know it won't blow me away or be a GOTY contender but it will be the kind of open world, point of interest, ADHD game that I like when I don't want to focus too hard.

Reviews are mostly useless unless you find a reviewer who in the past has liked everything you liked and disliked everything you dislike. Tastes differ. Opinions are just opinions.
Why are game reviewers being all pretentious dicks about games clearly communicating objectives. I for one am all for that. I've got an extensive backlog, I don't have the time/desire to "git gud" and figure out purposely muddled objectives for the sake of "immersion"
What I don’t understand is that the same “formulaic approach” was used in FFVIIRebirth and no one complained, but here?!

@@ginomack3831 production value, gameplay, graphics. You want me to go on? Rise of the Ronin is probably the worst team Ninja game I've ever played and I really like these sorts of games.
To each their own, I’m still getting this. The gameplay looks fun asf and if you’re still complaining about graphics, I don’t understand why that matters so much when games with graphics does not have good gameplay .. plus I see some movies from ninja gaiden like the IZUNA DROP
plus they finally brought dismemberment back.
I've been playing it. It's derivative af gameplay-wise, but also... it's an open world Team Ninja game with accessible difficulty. You gotta pet all the cats. I love it.

Well, I understand what you're saying. BUT. When people give companies their money for sub-par games, then we're sending a message that it's ok. It's not ok. BUT, that is just my opinion. So there's that.

I actually like the game a lot. The open world is blend but the combat is really good. Even all the icons on the map are 95% combat activities and the rest is a cat or shrine. You can fast travel and loading times never exceeded 6 seconds for me. In almost every mission you have a a single or multiple minibosses and a boss. Guess its just not the raste for some

Thanks for the review. I can see the appeal of the game, although I can safely say I will never play it. I can see the similarities with Sekiro, but it looks very janky.
I think the game might suffer with dragons dogma 2 releasing at the same time as well.
More games need demos because I would just say you shouldn’t stop yourself from potentially enjoying the game without trying it especially if you can see at least some appeal, but yeah without demos we cant get a feel for the game for ourselves, just mostly opinion based reviews that may not reflect your priorities in a game:/
@@p0wn3dd4n00b I know what you mean. Demos definitely help. But I’ve been gaming for so long, that I know after 10 seconds of gameplay if it’s for me or not. I don’t have as much time to game nowadays. I just know I’ll never get round to it, especially since I’ve got a mountain of backlog games that I’d like to climb. Now that the game is out, people seem to really enjoy it, which is good.

Dude hell yes difficulty options should be praised! Key word being OPTIONS; ie letting the player adjust the game to their liking instead of being dead set on a often times pretentious "creative vision"
Let me bash buttons to kill enemies and run around another check listy open world that runs in the vicinity of 60FPS 10 times out of 10. LET'S GO!

Having just played dragons dogshite 2 . This game looks completely a knockoff of in my personal opinion ghost of tsushima. A wonderful graphically detailed game . This just looks shite .

I will never pre-order any game outside the cancelation window on PS5 (which is 14 days) after this. I would rather play DD2 at 30 FPS any day over a 77 on meta critic.
Why pre-order a digital download anyway? They aren't going to run out of copies, it's pointless.
