I was thinking the same thing, Honda & Acura vehicles were overlapping too much. One could get 85% of what an Acura offers. So Honda is making the Accord is as sedate as possible.
My opinion is get rid of the LX and just keep the EX and up with a 2.0. and then make a hybrid version that's it because a 1.5 for like 30 grand no good for me my friend.
It couldn't possibly be more boring. Toyota offers 12 trims on the Camry, ranging from 2.5NA to V6 3.5NA, to hybrid. They also offer AWD. And a shockingly affordable V6 TRD trim. For those who suggest that I simply buy a TLX, I have to say that while I like the TLX to a degree, one has to make too many concessions when buying it. It's not roomy at all. While it does have the 2.0T engine, it is overburdened by 500 extra pounds that the Accord doesn't have, which not only hurts acceleration but also fuel economy. To add insult to injury, it recommends premium fuel and the Advance trim costs at least $10k more than the '22 Accord Touring 2.0T. The Type S version fixes the acceleration issue but doesn't nothing for the lack of room in the TLX. And the fuel economy of the Type S is horrendous and further widens the pricing gap over the Accord. Also, the SE Hybrid Camry starts at $31k and has less features than the Accord, and doesn’t even have LED headlights and tail lights. The closest trim to the Accord Sport L is the XSE Camry, which is $34,900, and the Sport L is $34,970 Accord Sport is $33k and is much better equipped than the $31k Camry SE Hybrid.

The accord just went stale again. Honda chose not to build off the current platform and go backwards with much less power and a CVT. With less power and more weight from the electric motor and batteries, I'm sure the current 2.0T will smoke this thing easily
To make matters worse they put a cheaper/weaker audio system in the lower trims than last years model. And Honda was allready known for having bad stock speakers. So if you want good sound you have to get the top trim smh.
And also, a stupid turbo on a little 1.5 displacement engine. Give me a normally aspirated internal combustion engine anyday, with similar gas mileage MPG results like a Camry. And not have to drive an incredibly boring CVT. If the CVT ever needs work good luck as well.

There is no right trim: 1.5L cvt is a scam that the media is not covering nearly enough... 30k for 4cyl engines that are this small are a rip-off, no matter what brand the car is...
KBB Crossover with Mike Danger? Cool! When are we going to see Lyn or Micah?
would it be possible to have the 12" screen on the LX ?
1.5t… that’s a fail
Since when the hell did the accord sport go from 27k to mid 30s
Do more Hondas !
The accord has been getting worse and worse first they remove the v6 option then they remove the coupe option now they going up the ass about hybrid they should just use cng engines
It's because they are chasing cost cutting, to only have 1 engine is cheaper for them to produce than multiple, it's sad we are losing options in the name of numbers
Meh for those prices you can get a lot more car for a lot less , especially with lack of power and horsepower
This Accord looks nice but no 2.0 liter turbo means its not gonna sell the way Honda thinks. People can't stomach paying almost 40k for a low output hybrid with a CVT
you think so? in 2022, out of all honda accord models, only 20% bought the 2.0 L turbo
@@aichan5235that’s because they didn’t produce nearly as many 2.0s as they did 1.5s. I think that take was a cop out by Honda to push the TLX
this looks as bland on the exterior as a 2016 Toyota Avalon. It’s going to only be leased by grandpa’s and purchased by folks that also work as clowns part time; because a KIA K5, Camry, or Sonata would be a better way to spend that much on any of the trims!
Most of their sales were the 1.5T, NOT the 2.0T. Also, there is no CVT in the Hybrid. Only the 1.5T gets a CVT
@@SIIKAP1 Honda produces more 1.5 than the 2.0 liter turbo that's why they sale more.
Why did you say the MPG of the sport?
Gonna wait for the sporty refresh in 2 years, those rims and trim is 🤮 and no fog lights cmon 🤦♂️
$33,000 for base model hybrid Accord vs Camry hybrid at $28,000… Honda came to lose
And offers more than the base hybrid Camry. Of course it’s gonna cost more
@@kenyanewman5888
If you want more, you have the option to pay for more.
With Honda You want a more affordable option? Too bad.
That is simply misinformation. The Sport is not a base trim for the Accord. The BASE Camry Hybrid does not compare to the Sport Accord. Also, the SE Hybrid Camry starts at $31k and has less features than the Accord, and doesn’t even have LED headlights and tail lights.
The closest trim to the Accord Sport L is the XSE Camry, which is $34,900, and the Sport L is $34,970
Accord Sport is $33k and is much better equipped than the $31k Camry SE Hybrid.
@Oscar Martinez You’re just another
ToyoTaXI fanboy soy Brokie talking about the lame Fleet taxi cars in your “expensive Rental cars near you.” Buy your “Boring Let’s go places” ToyoTAXI Lexus and shuzz your mouth cause no one is interested in your lame bland 10 years behind technology soy ToyoTAXI camry car
The accord just went stale again. Honda chose not to build off the current platform and go backwards with much less power and a CVT. With less power and more weight from the electric motor and batteries, I'm sure the current 2.0T will smoke this thing easily
It's BS that the built-in with Google stuff is only available on the highest end model
I think Honda dropped the ball with this one.
Me too. I’ll keep my 2020
People hate it but they still will buy it because people are retarded.
@@johnnybravo5044 yup just cause it’s new…. I bought the LX brand new, I just been having fun adding things to the body, rims, spoilers, etc.
Nahhh, The car looks good. People are just mad that there's no longer a 2.0t. But they'll get over it Just how they got over there was no V6. People are just looking for a way to justify keeping their current vehicle.
@@chudson4500 We got over the V6 because the 2.0T was a good replacement. This time around there is none. The only way to get the 2.0T now is either the Type R or bumping up to an Acura.
Looking for a Honda Pilot 2006
This car will not live to see the light of day if they plan on keeping this 11th generation the full 5 year cycle like the previous Accord generations. If they are pushing people to get the Acura Integra/TLX they are doing a damn good job because this design is HORRENDOUS and the power train is even worse. That beautiful interior is defeated.
I agree so much. I'm so disappointed in the new design. I was ready to go into the next Honda as I've loved my past 2 Hondas. But this design makes it a No for me
''Ugly styling and no powerful engine!!" ... Haha! - is it 2018 again? same comments when the G10 Accord came out.
At least we STILL have a Sedan choice! I say thank you Honda..
Chevrolet Volt, Cadillac CT6, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Impala, Buick LaCrosse, Fusion, Taurus. Lincoln: MKZ, Maxima, Passat. On and on. Only the Japanese and Koreans are keeping their sedans alive.
I will never touch a cvt transmission no thank you. Im sticking to my mazda for a while.
I was waiting on the new accord to release, but this new gen is ugly. My 2020 Camry looked way better but just got totaled. I need a new car so I guess I’m going with a 2023 civic hatchback touring.
That’s Mike Danger from KBB. I never knew KBB was part of Autotrader!
Same family! Owned by Cox Automotive
Introducing the new 2023 Honda Taurus.
The redesign is hideous, especially with the front headlights; loosing the chrome overlay. Also the back headlights are ugly. I’d prefer the older stapler shaped ones. But the interior is perfect.
What is honda doing ? The Accord sport use to start with the base engine . Now it's some top trim . The 1.5 and 2.0 of the 10th gen could be had in sport trim . And it just seems so bland . They dropped the ball big-time when they killed off the 2.0T. Honda is getting boring sorry.
Last nice Accord was 2013-17
2018-2022 IMO
The 2013-2017 still looks the most upscale to me. This new one is 🥱
@@bcoop85 Yes IF they wouldn't have went with Lobster claw lights, so 2013-2015
After careful consideration I think the best trim would be the sport or limited. 2.4 turbo 260hp 270 lbs-T. With standard AWD. Oh it's the Subaru legacy. Not the Honda Accord. Did I mention it also cost less.
It looks generic, it's boring, it has a boring cvt, the outgoing 2022 was much better looking.
Interior quality of fabric on the LX and ex is extremely cheap.
The only way this car looks good is if it has a lot of gingerbread on it & then you're pushing a price that's just ridiculous.
Base to base model, I'd much prefer Camry over this.
Video is all kinds of incorrect info and visual examples.
That front end is not doing it for me at all smh. Damn shame man
Honda needs a plug in hybrid.
My 21 Camry XSE naturally aspirated V6 301 horsepower engine is way better. 19" Wheels, Blackout package, Ash Leather, and the body lines are beautiful. Accord only makes a 4 cylinder. Ill wait till they make a 6 cylinder no turbos.
CVT? Yuck!
WOW I never thought I'd see the day where Honda phoned in the Accord. That is the ugliest, blandest, laziest redesign ever for an Accord. No uplevel engine? Clearly they don't see the point in making a major investment in the Accord anymore. Toyota's move now with the next Camry.
Toyota doesn’t need to have a next move. Base model hybrid Camry is $5,000 less…
@@MrOscar5690 No you missed the point, there is a redesign coming regardless. Has nothing to do with pricing.
@@MercOne obviously a redesign is coming….
@@MrOscar5690 Yeah that is what I was saying here. To see if Toyota is going to just phone it in like Honda did.
It's so american looking , looks like a Taurus
Don't pick any trim... go Toyota... Honda is. jumping off a cliff with this design... basic, boring, not the first time they had to redesign the redesign......
None. Why get a Walmart Audi when you can save up and get the real thing. I wish Honda would of went something original with it's industrial design.
Why spend $15-$30k more for a car that depreciates MUCH faster, is worse on gas, is less reliable, and costs much more to insure?
People shopping for a fuel sipper family sedan won’t be looking into expensive Audis. That’s for sure.
@@SIIKAP1 If you want great industrial design, the best tech, great paint, 300+ hp and all around cool?
@@yoshiakik.5332 yeah but normal people looking for a reliable, semi affordable car that’s good on gas is what the Accord is for. It’s not in the same market as fun 300+ horsepower cars.
I’d take an RS3 if i’m spending that money.
@@yoshiakik.5332 lol you want fake status that zeroes your wallet and burns your TIMe in Audi Stealerships Rather than making Real money and wasting time trying to look cool and fake rich status(brokie in real life).
This has absolutely nothing on my Sonata N Line …. Had a brand new 22 civic touring and underwhelming is an understatement so I traded it back and this looks just like that inside wise bland as hell a real
Yawner
But a Toyota.
sorry but is so weird to listen to a guy and watch another one showing you the car
