    Ever since the 2016 model came out , always been impressed with it's look and all it offers. I see the 2022 is a new or updated new model, Honda always smart not to go beyond 6 yrs w/ same body style cuz the competition last year with the really awesome new Mazda 3 and the newest body style of 2021 Hyundai Elantra made me start to forget how much I liked the Civic body style.

    I love all Civics. No matter what. I’m not like all the other people nit picking on the style. Those people are arrogant, and most of them join the style hating band wagon and actually don’t even know why they dislike a certain generation. All they know is a whole lot of people dislike it and so they will dislike it too. 🤦‍♂️

    I drove my ‘02 Honda Civic LX for 18 years and REALLY needed a new car. I bought a brand new 2023 Honda Civic Touring in January 2023. Honda has gone back to their design roots. The 11th gen design has a classic ‘90s Honda look/feel, but modernized. I love the understated, polished exterior and semi-luxury interior. I also like the low dash and thinner A pillars. Mine is meteorite metallic gray with a two-tone black/gray interior. (But it looks ivory to me!) Honda absolutely nailed it with the 11th gen design! It’s a beautiful car and I’m super happy with it. 😊

    I'm really impressed with this generations Civic's styling! I wish they offered the "Sport" trim with a manual Transmission. Also, I hope the "SI" trim is also a sedan, not really a fan of hatchbacks.. but those are still to be seen so you never know!

    • @elvisb1957
      @elvisb1957 3 года назад +7

      Same here, I really like the styling of the upcoming Civic, but I am disappointed that they're not at least offering a manual in at least the Sport trim for the sedan like they initially did with the Accord (which Honda obviously has phased out recently).
      I guess we have the option of getting an SI (which I think is $4-6K more than the Sport/EX models in Canada), but I was hoping for a Civic with the 2.0L NA engine with a nice 6-speed manual transmission.

    • @robertalicea5585

    • @mikenormandy9250

      Pretty sure they will do what they did with the last 10th gen, The Si will be based on the Sedan/Coupe (I know there is no more coupe) platform and the Type-R will be on the Hatch platform....It only makes sense....

      @seancurran6727 3 года назад

      @@robertalicea5585 Oh yes they do. I did, and I had to go to a faraway dealer to find a dealership that had one. Predictably, it's disappearing because they are making it disappear. About ten years ago, I asked my local dealership abaout an Accord with a manual and was told, "Nobody wants a manual." I said, "I do", and they said they'd call me when they became available. I have never bought a Honda from my local dealership.

      I just sold my 2002 Accord EX 4 cyl Sedan yesterday. It had 196k mi. I seriously hated to get rid of it (not going to lie, I was seriously considering texting the guy to tell him I'd refund him if he brought the car back). It was just at the age where EVERYTHING was going at once. New power steering pump. Needed new Cat. Starter was going out. Had an oil leak (I'd already chased a couple of other leaks and then this one showed up, was told it was the timing cover gasket and seal). Wasn't sure what else was headed for doom. Plus, my teenage daughter had been driving it and it had a fender dent and cracked bumper and grill. Ugh. 😭

    • @iamjshep3
      @iamjshep3 2 года назад

      For real. It would actually be more efficient for them to turbocharge the 2 liter than the 1.5 liter cause the 2 liter can actually handle it better since it’s a bigger engine. The 1.5 liter gets oil dilution problems. That’s why I got the base model LX for my 2019 Honda Civic. I’m a definitely try to keep it and get one of these 11th gen base models.

      I’m not sure whether the 11th gen is changing much about the smaller turbo charged engines in the newer civics, but the majority of engine problems in the 10th gen turbo engines are from lack of heat in the winter. Because the engine uses a smaller, more efficient design, less heat is generated as a cost to the efficiency, making it more prone to failure in the cold and during short trips when the engine does not have time to reach optimal heat

    Can we get manual for another trim besides the hatch, si, and type r? Kinda how some 8th gens and before had? Maybe every 10 cars make one a manual

    Love me my Hondas but the CVT is terrible. Drove an Accord for 3 years with a cvt. I don't really want to do that again.

      The IRS trim is mostly sold in Asian countries and it’s an appearance package on top of the regular package

    I'd really like to see Honda offer a Civic Type R, that comes with an A/T. Honda makes the best cars, and the Civic is Honda's best car.

    Sure all the new tech and standard features are cool, but it just looks like every other 4 door sedan on the road now. I guess all the whining about how the current car, especially the Type R, looked Honda listened and made it more boring.

      Nah i think honda is gonna go for that hot sedan look like the Euro cars have been doing for a while with the type r. I mean look at the new type s from acrua. That rear end is sexy as hell despite the type s being a longer car than normal

    low speed ACC is INSANE for a base model, That shit is key these days in traffic! The car brings you to a dead stop and speeds back up! AWESOME! EDIT: Have to add it def looks like the 9th gen, face-lifted Accord! Which is a great thing!
