@abigray8585 The hash brown is an American import that was unheard of in Britain until the 1980's, it is nothing but a lazy frozen pre-packaged replacement for traditional Bubble & Squeak.
As an American who’s been to the UK many times I love British food, but it’s going to rely heavily on the quality of the ingredients the restaurant uses(I’ve noticed great improvements in ingredient quality over the past decade or two). I’ve had steak and ale pies, scotch eggs, English breakfasts, sausage rolls, pasty’s and such that were mind boggling with how good they were, but I’ve also been to places where the food is just so uninspiring and sad to eat. I think a lot of Americans are harsh when it comes to judging British food and a lot of the time when they try it they realize that British food is really not bad.
