Someone from London describing somewhere in England’s south coast as “North England” (just because it’s not within an hours drive of London) is one of the most British things ever 15:00
@@jessewheeler5357not sure where you’re from but I’ll try to explain. Despite being much, much smaller than countries like the US the UK is made up of a huge number of areas with cultural differences. It’s not unknown for neighbouring areas to have fierce (generally good natured) rivalries often based around football teams. One particular rivalry is between the North and South of England. Theres a lot of debate about where the border is. Northerners often place it about Sheffield and Southerners (particularly Londoners) can place it as far south as Milton Keynes (100 miles away). The joke is that Londoners never leave London and think the rest of the uk is some sort of barren industrial wasteland.

I've noticed that most of the people that slam British food have never tried it, or had it at a good standard. It's just simple and satisfying. Kind of like how Italian pizza is just dough, tomato sauce, and toppings. It's not mind blowingly technical, but it's still delicious.

She clearly hasn't been trained on her product...She is literally just a catering/customer assistant...The owners of the brand should look at that, as clearly, the product timeline/authenticity is not being pushed passionately.
@RokebyBay that's similar, I'm from Cape Town, South Africa, and Capetonians often refer to anywhere else in the country as "Jo'burg" (comically), which is a city.. in one of our 9 provinces
Also, anything further than like 10 - 15km out of the Cape Town CBD is referred to as "the North"
Gonna start telling my friend to record me while I order to get a discount XD
🤣 I sat at that same table a couple of months ago, that green pole right next to the table made my 4yr old giggle, she couldn't understand why it was RIGHT THERE 😂
It's a good aim to try those specific foods, I think this is an inspiration to rediscover these dishes again by your food review show. I had the same first dish there raw oysters. I agree with the calamari review, and I also agree bangers and mash it's a lot. I didn't realised that's the place where I can find all those food 😂
I love the editing on this show😭
Scallop dredging is the usual method of catching scallops, and one of the most destructive fishing methods in the world. Ploughing/bulldozing the seabed, basically. Well worth paying for hand dived scallops if you care, at all, about the marine environment.
Bangers and mash with gravy looked like the perfect meal for that hard weather. The risotto too!
Scallops for more easy protein.
if there's one place where it's not hard to spend $100 on food it's def england, just looking at the menu costs £10
Happy for your traveling to find food shop ❤❤❤
Oi last dish enjoying the sausage feast 😂
They're pickled onions not eggs! hehe Also, so funny to see the public baffled by someone vloggling unlike in your American vlogs haha I don't think I've ever seen a RUclipsr in the wild!
When I saw Borough Market I knew this wouldn't be much of a challenge 💷💷💷
Thanks for the variety and the banter... I love the humour and down to earth feel you take on whatever you eat or where you are. Excellent work... Next time you should share and let the camera man eat everything and just sit back drinking while narrating!
6:32 no way that mayo sauce came out looking like that 😂 thats mad funny
4:50 That is what makes it British!!!
That's not right
Do it again 😂
Give that little boy a bite of that sandwich, he looked hungry 🤣

Bangers and mash with Lincolnshire sausages 😋 heaven
The girl with the hat that gave the discount is fire!
That was pickled onions mate hahahaha
That's what I thought. Never heard of pickled eggs.
@@ziontours5893 They're sold in pretty much every chippy in the UK. Only odd people tend to eat them these days. Going the way of the jellied eel.
No, they were pickled EGGS
It’s a Brit chip shop classic
@toniteeny1234 Go look up pickled eggs, buddy. They are white and perfectly smooth, funnily enough, just like an egg. They also come in clear vinegar, not dark malted vinegar and don't look like bloody onions you silly tit.
@@toniteeny1234 they definitely look like pickled onions, I know what picked eggs are you donut I live in the UK 🤣
lol pickpockets are reporting for afternoon duty.

You should try vegan stuff in London cos it’s actually really good
The lady selling Dorset scallops thinks its in the North of England.. smh!
" the RISOTTO is british " 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
to be fair all of the ingredients could come from the UK, the spelt the mushrooms, the garlic etc. Risotto is just cooked rice or in this case spelt. Its not a super unusual dish, Many temperate climate places on earth can do it.
@@jonathanbowen3640 at the frist place risotto is a way of cooking the rice not the recipe for a dish.
The pie and the bangers and mash was the best for me 😋
I used to believe they had bad food but I changed my mind everything looked delicious.
I've noticed that most of the people that slam British food have never tried it, or had it at a good standard. It's just simple and satisfying. Kind of like how Italian pizza is just dough, tomato sauce, and toppings. It's not mind blowingly technical, but it's still delicious.
they've never been to the UK, they just see pictures of awful food SOME people in the UK eat and assume all of us eat like that. It's just ignorance and a hatred of British people tbh.

I work nearby on the river, I can safely say Borough Market is a cesspit, when I first moved here 10 years ago it was tolerable at least.
I used to work for a huge Law firm in Aldwych who used to order daily from Borough mkt. They used to blindly spend Thousands a week there...In my experience, if you know the sellers and distributors (and of course are spending lots) you can/could get a good deal, other than that it's a toxic tourist trap 💯
You Should Tried some Colmans English mustard with your bangers and mash, it takes it to another level
Monk fish is used in fish and chips in some places and is a great fish .
I lives in England for 29 years and I've never had a lamb sausages rolls 😳 they sound amazing
That mayonaise looks like something else.. 6:30
nah that mayonnaise looked suspiciously shaped. 6:30

Used to go here for lunch most days when I worked in the city - there’s a very good scotch egg stall and a blue cheese burger worth trying next to the boozer in the market too
Those scallops used to be much much cheaper btw but they’ve always been great.
The risotto looked worth the price, that was a generous portion of wild mushrooms and cheese 🤤
Great review Sonny, i'm here in Dubai, loving checking out the comfort food of home I hope you tried the English Mustard, that really opens up the airways 🙂
Cost of living in uk is savage.
1:20 Ireland is actually in the British Isles so it counts as British!
Northern Ireland is part of the British Isles.
The rest of Ireland is NOT.
@@gerardflynn7382Nope. The British Isles includes all of Ireland. The six counties of NI is part of the UK (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
that mayonnaise tho....
the sound from that sausage at 12.26 is phenomenal 🤣🤣

Those are pickled onions, Sunny, and you should 100% try them
Pickled onions are delicious. There’s a local BBQ joint that has tacos with brisket, green apple pico de gallo and pickled onions on top. Absolutely out of this world and the portions are giant!
yep, defo not eggs. 😂
can we talk about the way that mayonnaise looks 6:30 ?
YES LOL OMG HAHAHAHA
Like actual home made mayo? It shouldn’t be the white crap you get in a packet. Mayo has a yellow tint cos it has egg yolks and mustard in it which are both yellow
@@snipad no the shape boy XD
It looks real
saving that to my fap bank 😩
looks like the Mash from the Bangers and Mash is actually bubble and squeek - it has cabbage in it

You're the first foodie to buy, and review Halibut Fish & Chips! Believe it or not, Van De Kamp's frozen food had frozen, deep fried halibut in the grocery store back in the day, and it was delish! Every time I've had Fish & Chips since, Van De Kamp's was the pinnacle of comparison, and I've never had anything as good. If anyone reading this ever gets a chance to try Halibut, especially deep fried in batter, do so, you won't regret it! - On to the scallops, I worked as a cook at Bob's Big Boy back in the 70's, and they had deep fried scallops. Working there, I'd make myself a plateful of these delicious morsels. I've never seen deep fried, breaded scallops anywhere else, and have no idea why as they are delicious. Anywhere that sells fish & chips should also sell deep fried scallops, but they don't?😅👍✌🗽
Hi Bob! I wasn’t sure from your post if you are in the UK. If you like deep fried scallops, every place in New England has them. I grew up in Massachusetts and it always was one of my absolute favorites. Cheers.
Oh wow! I'd love to try deep-fried scallops. That sounds delicious.
@@VaveeDances It's Tom, but no worries!😅 I always use the Statue of Liberty EMOJI to indicate I'm from the USA. I live in southern California near LA. I've never seen fried scallops in my 63 years here except at Bob's Big Boy back in the 70's. They were so good.👍✌🗽
