Nexus 7 Dash Install 2011 Nissan Maxima

Here is a video featuring a 2011 Nissan Maxima were we did a custom fabricated dash bezel to house a Nexus 7. Video cuts off short....GOPRO be getting crazy......This is a removable tablet install, however we had to shoot the video before the bezel was cured so we did not remove it in this one. A follow up video will be recorded!! It charges and plays audio through aux, while the factory radio has been simply relocated to the glove compartment. Thanks for watching please Like and comment! hey just curious how you turn the screen back on once it "times out" ipad has the screen on button in front but this is on the sides right? also is the bracket available for sale or is it 100% custom made?

I no this late af but to who ever might else see and wonder I had the tablet fire and I just say hey Alexa and it turns on ( when it has times out) if I want it off I have a turn off button on the Home Screen

I also have a 2011 maxima.. Do you know of a separate display that can replace the upper screen for temp control? I am looking to install an Ipad mini or nexus 7, but do not want to upper display. Another question, is there any functionality lost by removing the upper amber display?

Nope I'm doing the same thing, Do what I did go to Maxima forums it all over there on how to replace your ugly orange display. I'm going to install a galaxy tab 7.0 it fit just fine

They make a Tesla type screen that go's from top all the way to the bottom. It's really nice.

You can just Google Tesla screen for whatever year you have Maxima.

Looks good. I went with a Gen 1 nexus 7 slide mount install which connects via usb to a DAC and mini amp. The system will evolve and the overall finish of the bezel will improve soon too. Check it out on my channel!
