They are making it in titanium so you can't cut it up! 😎 😂
Nowadays many companies are, and that’s probably the reason why
I feel silly for not realising this was the reason why! 😂
The psychological war
The simple minded also likes shiny things.
Maybe one could fashion it into a ninja star?
I use my Apple Card as a debit card. I pay off my balance the time I am able to and I have no debt. Like any other credit card, responsibility determines.
Same! We find that using Every $ with our CC's is the only way. We have 0 debt and pay off CC every month and use the rewards! We have taken 3 trips for FREE just from paying bills on the CC.
But why? Use a debit card. Dave says to never do the pay card off every month thing. He says cut them all off.
@@frankshanks9726 we get cash back for each purchase

Dave ramsey: “cut up your credit card”
Apple fanboy: “ I cant its titanium”
I'm a apple fanboy but I also have access to an angle grinder. 🤷🏼♂️
Haha, Apple engineers when designing the Apple credit card. "We need to make the Apple card out of titanium so they won't be able to cut up the card if customers start watching Dave Ramsey."
Just leave the credit card at home.
Lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Most people are responsible with credit cards unlike Dave Ramsey listeners
Walt Lonsdale if this were true, these companies wouldn’t get into the credit card business
@@MarvelousProductions on point. They are in credit card business because they make ridiculous money from interest.
Thanks to you Dave my wife and I paid off our house, and knew better than to get a time share. Thanks again
Michael Eatmon congratulations!

Lar M I know right ?
Michael Eatmon congrats!!
Michael Eatmon congratulations!
I use my credit card as a debit card. Haven’t paid a cent in interest in years. DR’s anti credit card hostility is because he has to be that way. The people who need his advice the most can’t handle them. If you’re responsible there’s no difference between it and a debit card.
Thank you
That being said, the Apple card isn't that good of a card anyway, it's just decent enough and people like Apple. For example, if you are going to use a credit card, a Chase CC has better cash back unless you already own an iPhone and can use Apple pay. Even then, I think some other banks have even higher cash back rates on their cards.
Yep
Research shows (statistically) that using a credit card (compared to debit card) changes spending behaviour. If you can be the exception to those stats and not change your behaviour compared to a debit card then 👍
@@matthewgruter2937 - If you have a budget it isn't hard. Stick to your budget. It doesn't matter where the transactions are occurring - either through cash or some kind of card.
“You’re not in Congress, you know how to balance a budget.” I laughed so hard.
Apple is just looking to make more money because they know the consumers will pay for the Apple brand.
And because they don't dominate tech anymore. Everyone knows their products are overpriced.
Pablo Segura Yeah! And if there is an apple on the piece of plastic or not still makes it a credit card with interest rate. Not more and not less than that.

@@elmateo77 What? Egypt's GDP in 2018 was $250,9 billion USD.
Nothing wrong with the card if you pay off your balance every month. Personally, I think the fidelity visa is a better deal, 2% cash back on everything. But I agree it is a bad deal for those who lack self control.
If you will buy swamp land in Florida, I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you too 😂

That's a misconception about Florida. It's actually closer to the Savannah

Titanium is tough but it’s sheer strength is not that impressive. cutting a half mm sheet of it with scissors should be quite doable. Some titanium alloys might be more trouble though.
The video everyone has been waiting for, according to the comment section of every recent video since the announcement
Apple card is Dave Ramsey cut proof.
Not if you chainsaw your phone.
Instead of fixing their Macbook keyboard issue or touch issue on my 2017 iPad Pro, they are launching a credit card! A new way to milk money other than selling low quality control products!

I can’t wait to get this Credit card. I’m in need of a window ice scraper .
Yea a piece of titanium for free.i definitely getting it.. I won't you use it because I don't really need to my credit score is 789. Use credit card like once a month just to make my credit score go higher.n paid it off asoon as it post on it.
I was waiting!!! 🤣🤣🤣 , just what I told my apple-slaved coworkers “it’s just a STUPID credit card” ....
I don’t understand the timeshare thing. Who wants to go on vacation to the same place every year?
Thank you for clarifying. Needed it. Seriously.
I just want the Apple Card for the privacy stuff and the titanium card is just a cool bonus. I pay my balances off every month so I don't get interest but lately I opened an "Everyday" checking account on top of my main account, this new one is just for my weekly budget. This would just take the place of my current credit card and I just wouldn't use my current one anymore and let them close it out after a while.

Dave makes a great point about unethical behavior in the land business.
Dave made lots of money in real estate. Now it makes sense. 💯
"You (the audience) can help them balance a budget cause none of you work in Congress." 😂🤣😂
Hardly a thing isn’t about $$$. I just got an email from PayPal today advertising that I can use PayPal Credit to pay my taxes.
Isn't that ironic 😂 taxes are high everything is high right now in the economy we're not going forward we're going backwards right into the way of the 1920's great depression all over again.
Thanks for talking me down from the apple credit card.

I'll save the cash, and buy a nice pre-owned vehicle.
You mean Tim Apple. Lol
Isn't the CEO names KIM cook? He is, after all, confused between the legs.

This is what happens with public companies. They figure out more and more ways to increase their stock prices for investors. No one should be surprised by this move

Rename title to this video “DON’T INVEST IN TIMESHARES”
People may stop buying timeshares in Florida if they know they will be trapped so that strategy could backfire.
You need a credit card to use their savings account. I have my emergency fund in the apple high yield saving account. So I have their credit card, I keep the balance under 20 dollars.
I've been waiting to hear your opinion on this!
This is the first time I've heard of a tech company become a bank overnight.
Amateur Professional In a bank you can make deposits. Apple it’s not offering that.
They didn’t. Goldman Sachs is the bank.
They're not. Goldman Sachs is financing the cards.

Apple announces a new shiny credit card.... First thing I thought .... what would Dave Ramsey think of me?....😁... that’s stooopiid! 😂
😂
I am not angry!
WHY ARE WE YELLING!!!
Credit cards are not bad if handled responsibly.
To be honest, I would get the Apple Card just to have the titanium thing then cancel it without spending. Just to put that card in a frame on the wall. I mean, you have to give it to them, that card is a beauty.
Yeah..... I was waiting for this video
Don't need another credit card. I have one that I use when traveling (numerous benefits) and another just for general purchases. Neather card carries a balance beyond the end of the billing period. Current credit score 800+.
Dave, you should take 3 min and read the article. It stated that after making $500k and setting their budget they still "feel" average CNBC wasn't positioning them as average, quite the contrary, they were trying to show how easy it can be to fall into "lifestyle creep" and how a clearly above average income can quickly be consumed by many small poor choices. Then they make a statement I think you would agree with "Ultimately, a hefty paycheck doesn’t always guarantee wealth or financial peace of mind. By contrast, budgeting and living beneath your means, no matter your income level, can help you out tremendously in the long run."
My man! Thank you so much
Ooo! I was waiting for this 😁 Get um uncle Dave 😂🤣
You don’t have to “give them money” if you don’t carry a balance. Although if you know anything about credit cards you know this isn’t a good one.
Thanks for the info. Value your opinion.
“You’re going to give Apple 24%”.
Framed differently: Apple is going to give you 1% cash back for things you pay for already out of your checking account.
You could use it to pay bills like gas, electric, insurance, cable etc. According to Dave’s mutual fund returning 12%, $240/yr for 20 years is almost $20,000.
But credit cards are stupid!
Interest rates don’t matter as long as you pay the full amount at the end of the day. If you have no self control then don’t get a credit card. Credit cards are supposed to be paid off in full monthly and used only for the Percs or money back. Credit cards can be good if you’re responsible
Well I saw this comming last year. I even told my friends it would happen.
I don't want one. But I know ppl who will apply. Geees
Can you please direct me to how I can contact your TimeShare Exit Team? We bought a time share years ago and were told we couldn’t get out of the contract. Please help. Love your show thanks
Time share exit team dot com
Dave you're AWESOME!
Apple credit card is a joke. Horrible benefits, unless you waste thousands on apple products you don’t need. And they’re making it titanium so it’ll sell more, because they know a lot of people will get it just because it’s titanium. Lol.
The $500,000 dollar couple had $9,500/year expense on clothes! They even specified no fancy bags, shoes, etc... $9,500 a year on clothes sure does sound fancy to me.
In comparison to their income that's absolutely nothing. That's not where their problem is.
I don't think I've heard of "swampland in Florida to sell you" until Dave talked about it. I've usually heard it phrased "I've got a bridge to sell you".
Whats wrong with people like me who use it for the cash bonus? I pay it off immediately and never get charged interest
Because people tend to subconsciously spend more on a credit card than they do with cash.
breakingdawn97mc I see what your saying bro but I guess the 1% who doesn’t
The new card is actually pretty nice! I’m gonna get it! Can’t wait!
I was just waiting for that Apple credit card video! And boom, it’s was first on my features!
Where you expecting for Dave to tell you go ahead and get it!!!! 😂
If a Titanium credit card isn't "anti-Ramsey" I don't know what is. Could you imagine the guy in your FPU class trying to cut that credit card up!? Just the thought of it lol!
If you need a dremel with a diamond bit to cut your credit cards up, we really need to start regulating credit card manufacturing. Also, if you get abducted, maybe the card comes in handy. You can sharpen an edge on the ground and cut someone with it. LOL 🤣
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!
I was waiting to hear his input on this.
But, but, Dave you don't understand! The card has the apple logo on it. It will make me look even cooler in front of all my friends!
😂 😂
The best thing anyone can do is get out of debt.
I love that an Apple commercial plays before this video comes on
If you buy your timeshare with a credit card for signup bonus, it really reduces the cost of ownership.
That's hilarious dave ramsey!
Wow. He is so abrasive! It’s hard to listen to anyone who calls people outright stupid. Jeesh.
The bank behind the "credit" part of the card is Goldman Sachs. Apple only act as a pay intermediary through Apple Pay; the company you would owe the money to is Goldman Sachs.
Credit card doesn’t mean debt. I use mine for the cashback
Angel Hernandez
Definitely true if used wisely
Eric Chatman yea I feel like the problem with credit cards is that people don’t have the self control needed to own one. I put absolutely everything on my credit card but always pay it off at the end of the month.
Angel Hernandez agreed
People just swipe and swipe and swipe without even having the money in the bank to cover the charges,
I use my credit card for things I know I have to pay and make sure the money in my account to cover anything I use the CC for cellphone, electric, internet etc and pay the full Bal off EVERY single month I just use it to get the cash back,
IMO if you are using a CC you have to be very responsible
Eric Chatman yea exactly
Eric Chatman I honestly feel like Dave is hella extreme tbh. He needs to cool it because credit cards aren’t bad if you have self control.
Believe me plenty will use that 24% guess poor Apple needs another trillion dollars.
Mr. Carroll Ware
I'm counting on it.
As a share holder I can use some of that trillion dollars in my Roth IRA/401k.
Already getting over $800/mo. reinvested dividends from Visa and MasterCard tax free.
And as a credit card user of 30 years never having debt or paying penalties and have no idea what the rate is.

Dave, you can have an IPhone and we can still be friends.
I have an Apple credit card but I pay off my balances each month
Due Diligence on any real estate purchase, always.
What is the big deal with credit cards? I have been using credit cards exclusively for years, and never paid a cent in interest, because I always paid down everything during the interest-free period. All I did was collect the 1-2% bonus.
The problem is human psychology. You spend more when you buy stuff with credit cards. If you think you're immune to the psychological effect, you're probably not.
That said, I see no problem with putting recurring monthly bills (e.g. cell phone service bill) on a rewards card and paying them off every month. You're not likely to be tempted into spending more on a recurring bill just because it's on a card.
Can credit cards with that high of an interest rate be considered Predatory lending?
“Only if your stupid.” This should only apply to people who don’t pay their credit card in full every month.
The sarcasm in Dave's voice😂. So bad the naive would think he's serious.
A credit card only gives you benefits when you never plan to let your debt sit to where you pay interest. If you use a credit card to make normal purchases you would make anyhow then you can use the cashback and it can help your credit score which is good for your future. As for me I have a different credit card for every scenario. I have one for traveling points, one for cash back, one for extra cash back on dinning purchases, and now I have one that gives 3% on Apple products and I usually upgrade my iPhone every year so that’s the card I’ll use. So if you can utilize the perks of your card and be responsible and know what you can and can’t afford then you can use credit to your advantage.
13-24% interest?! that's insane. here I live, I replaced my debit card with a credit card as I got a better insurance service, things like car repair, on call, car towing etc. as I use others cars/work cars etc. and not my own. But I still use it as a debit card and only pay a yearly fee of like 25$ and I transfer money to it only when I'm out. The bank doesn't seem to like me as they won't even lend me money for anything because I pay everything off...
I think the credit card would be good because I already buy so much apple products 😂 might as well help my credit score by buying more dongles
Hint: you won’t go into debt if you don’t spend what you don’t have ;)
CREDIT CARDS are not for the COMPULSIVE FOOLS!

Apples always had a credit card. They are just switching from Barclay one to Goldman Sachs and updating the Cashback stuff. The new card is cooler and they are great at marketing so I’m sure it will be popular. Not worth it at all though.
