I've done designs for various projects before where two pieces of wood rub together while pivoting on a screw, and have had great success making a couple of HDPE washers to lubricate the joint. Works much better than just a fender washer. Just cut them from milk jug plastic (HDPE has the 2 in the recycling triangle on the bottom), using the washer as a pattern, and sandwich it between the plastic washers. Also, sizing the length of the bolt to allow for 2 nuts, the second one being a jam nut tight up against the first, keeps the nut from working its way off without having to use threadlocker glue. Plus, it lets you really dial in the tightness or looseness of the pivot joint to your liking, because the jam nut makes the screw tight however loose it is between the wood pieces. Great project, again!

Nice design! I'm a real fan of the way the top corners of the inner legs stop against the underneath side of the top piece. Limiting the spread of the legs with a stop is a much more elegant solution than the ropes or chains of other horses out there. And good job on the angled screws holding the top extra tight. Great folding sawhorses!
Very good design, allows for flat top surface and complete sawhorse without any loose parts. Please talk a lot less and show a lot more of the sawhorse design. Most builders can see how something is made just by looking at it. Perhaps remake this video?
