As an FX30 owner you know you speaking my language with an economical budget. Just watching this shows that T 1.2 is a monster for real I definitely need to get my hands on this set. Great information as always my brotha 💪🏾
I’ve only been using these sirui night walkers for the past month I couldn’t agree more on them being perfect combo for fx30. I honestly thought I made a mistake because i was not use to manual lens. But once I learned holy shit, now I can shoot at night way more. I use the 24 and 35, I’m just a beginner but these results make me so happy. I can’t wait to actually make something. Great explanation hope you have a great journey I will be subscribing to follow !
New to the channel and grateful YT recommended you 👏🏽 I just purchased my FX3 and considering this lineup for my 1st set of cine lenses. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
I just learned that not long ago myself. They both represent the opening of the iris or aperture but a T stop is a more accurate representation of how open the iris is so it can be the same throughout different lenses. An F stop is more of an estimate and can change from lens to lens. Great question tho!
Lens aperture settings are measured in f stops. F stops are fractional ratios of the aperture vs the lens' focal length. T stops, on the other hand, relate to the light transmitted through the lens at a given aperture. For example, the Olympus 25mm f1.8 has higher t stops than the Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 at the same apertures, because the Voigtlander's coatings and optical design allow more light to be transmitted through the lens at a given f stop than the Olympus. A photo taken with the Voigtlander at f2 is brighter than one taken with the Olympus because the Olympus doesn't let as much light through.

A handsome young man you've got there, what a smile!
Good shoots and good work!
Miss the podcast as well!
Appreciate that. I miss it too. Trying to put together a live component now for filmmaking.
Great video! Question: I probably should know this but what’s the difference between f stop and t stop…. (This could actually be a separate video 😂)

Definitely alot of dope info 👌🏾 💯
New to cameras and lenses here. Can I just buy the lens and put it on the camera? Or does it need some sort of extra attachment or something.
The Sirui Nightwalkers offer a Sony E mount version, so you can get the FX30 and a Nightwalker and need nothing else.
And what about Sigma 16mm???
My favorite lens for apsc cameras
