      @@spiritchaser4337 We have yet to test their latest models. We'll be have them side by side for a true comparison. PT-Actuator looks good on paper, while D-BOX performs on spec at maximum load. Care to share more about your experience? Latency is everything when it comes to motion systems, if you aren't sub 50ms, it brings no use whatsoever to the experience, especially for professional training.

      @@advancedsimracing Dbox uses "canned" FX rather than telemetry correct? What are the pros/cons vs a telemetry system? Will you carry competitor products like Sigma Integrale?

    • @advancedsimracing
      @advancedsimracing 2 года назад +4

      @@barryconvex416 D-BOX is the only haptics / motion company that works with the studios to get the proper telemetry from the game to its controller via their SDK package. They use raw, real-time telemetry. It's built-into the games and curated by the game developpers, rather than "sniffed" out. We have no plans to carry any other system at this time simply based on the fact that all our attempts to compare have been inconclusive unfortunately. Hearing Sigma is making amazing progress however. Seems we are due for another test run!

    Hmm makes me think they should maybe design a system where the actuator portion of the device is at the bottom and acts as the feet of a sim setup, which will cut the "sprung mass" of the rig down quite a bit. Not having the weight of 4 of these heavy duty devices added to the rig would make a big difference, I'd imagine.

      Sim software is already simulating car movement in the screen. Motion rig and motion screens will probably have more movement that you need to feel. Besides of that, you would be adding more weight to your rig and your motion system will need handle a higher load. On top of that, your monitors and their electronics were not created to vibrate, and 3 monitor config will be most likely misaligned easily. Imho

      @@L_Emir_de_Passy I very well could be wrong and I know the D-Box is premium priced but from what I have read and watched is that they firstly run on most every game with ease of setup, secondly, they have some of the best subtle feelings along with dynamic range. I have heard the motor vibration is next level. They are quieter than a lot of other actuators from what I gather, which is big for me. I do know their response is slower but from all reviews, it doesn't seem to be a problem. At $7000 they are not bad as they used to be. What do you think is the best high-end actuator? I tried to find a price but couldn't. I think it's around 7000$ for 3dof? Evidently, they don't have a problem finding costumers at this price. But I'm still surprised that people would spend that much when you get more capable systems for half or even almost a third of the price. What does the dbox system do that the $2500 eracing lab kit can't do?...i don't know... What i do know is the dbox system can't make you feel slopes or banks as well... spa, brands hatch, daytona... those tracks benefit greatly form a 150mm actuator... the only advantage I see is how much easier it seems to set up the system... A few plugs and good to go.... I've never tried dbox but it doesn't seem to behave exceptionally different compared to the rest.

    • @damiengvideos4337
      @damiengvideos4337 2 года назад +3

      No experience with the Eracing kits but coming from SFX100 with Thanos and SRS I find the D-box to be a lot “smoother”, the software to me was easier to tune and get just how I want it. The transducer effect is awesome so no need for bass shakers. Is it worth 2-3x as much…no. Just like real cars you pay that premium for a little gain. If you want to do flight sims and rally and trucks get the DK2+ I’d say. Me I am perfectly happy with my D-BOX no regrets.

      And to answer your question, D-BOX is the only system that can do 0-100hz vibration superimposed with motion. Meaning you can get a lot of subtle cues on how the car is behaving at all times, all while feeling braking, acceleration and a slight bit of banking.

So you have the SFX for road and bumps feel, the seatmover for GeForce along with the Gseat for extra GeForce immersion (Recommend you have a harness on). I'd say if tuned right, It'll be the most realistic motion out there, All this will be around 13 grand which it's very expensive but a lot cheaper than the allmajor brands.
