- Hi everyone! After moving in for almost a year we are finally done with our virtual house tour :) This is a 990sqft / 91sqm HDB DBSS Resale Flat and we are proud to say that we have designed every part of this house ourselves :-)

This apartment is so beautiful, bright and clean. The color combination is just perfect 😍. Plz don't take this in the bad way but vets recommend to keep the cats' food and water a bit further from the litter box. They might not like to have their water/food too close from the area where they poop, just as we humans don't like to have our food close to the toilet. Again, beautiful home!

Yeah they first mentioned kids.. then they showed the "kids room" which was locked with a big metal gate. It somehow felt weird...but then I saw the CUTE cats
Tastefully designed and furnished, especially love the plants accent. Agree with most comments here that the intentional choice of hues while muted work extremely well in an apartment space. Less is definitely classy . ❤ love it

I watched this to see the rooms with half-glass walls as I've been thinking of ways to keep kitchen noise and smells in the kitchen while allowing me to see out (or in) to keep an eye on the kids (human ones). If the windows could be opened, you would have the best of both a separate and open-plan kitchen!
haha yea we thought of that but still prefer the clean look as usually the windows are in small panels
As a professional Interior designer i had to wrote it down.. : 0:23 Damn, your wife has to love cleaning up and polishing .. 0:40 ok so Mirror that opens by touching it, so it gets dirty and greasy super fast 0:53 U wanted clean look, but yet, you decided not to hide a cable into floor slats. 4:25 not sure if there is need for that much extra lying resting place, i would rather have a clean walking path and access to window, or maybe some kind of storage there instead. But what i have to comply is Colour balance and harmony putted to its finest. Overall i really like this one, only bigger mind boggler was the excess of indoor glass and tipon mirror doors. 8/10

Such a beautiful house that'sd really pleasant to watch. One recommendation here is to keep the cats water and food away from their litter as it is not hygienic. It would be the same as having your dinning table inside your bathroom.

Fine Details and functionality. Nice to fold clothes while watching the sunset. Pandemic proof with good outdoorsy feel. And love the enclosed kitchen to keep the cooking aroma within. I just hope your cooking filters out and not a recycle type with carbon😉
haha thank you ^_^ so far our glass kitchen contains most of the smell but sometimes if we didn't close the door properly some smell may leak out haha but we will still open up the balcony when we cook just in case

@@OscarANM *laugh* I know what you mean having travelled to a few cities where property prices are scarily too high. There’s an exodus of digital nomads to certain parts of Asia and perhaps one of the reason is bigger living space.
RUclips's algorithm brought me here, this apartment is so awesome and I love the clean design! For me, maybe I don't want to install the glass partition for the kitchen as it maybe not needed (except to prevent smells when cooking something just in case the cooker hood doesn't help) and I'd like to keep it open. But the good point is it's look symmetrical with the study room beside the kitchen! I also love the color tone and the "Japanese vibe" u try to bring here, good job!

The light wooden colour and balcony give a nice soothing feeling, only downside is the view of your neighbours in those 50 years old hdb flats and the west sun.
Maybe for first time owner they dont feel the full effect of west sun scorching their own house, cannot play play 1

Beautiful apartment. The only thing I didn't like was the bed headboard, it looks kinda cheap. I would have a wooden one, like the bedside tables.

and, I have to add that it is a wonderful looking homei you did a fantastic job.
hahaha ppl would report me child abuse alr sia but no la the gate is 95% opened, only when there's like contractors doing some house works then we keep them inside, most of the time they are out free roaming

thank you! but lets be honest its impossible to look like this 24/7 HAHA no we only keep them in their room when we're out/opening the main entrance cus maybe im too paranoid that they will run out :(( we always let them roam when we're home!

@@andrewong2024 yes we did replace the sliding doors to black ones, no permit required as this is considered as part of the internal space! We discarded the old doors haha

Loving the appartment style especially the study room. The only things that makes me sad is the Singaporean policy to have metal frame on every windows... You would have such a clean view from your bedroom otherwise !

Since you've got plenty of plants, they say place one (small one should do) in between your sink and stove because according to feng shui in kitchen, water and fire are not good on the same line or opposite to each other. Not me say one ar, it's feng shui master say one ar. 😅 They say less quarreling in life when you cut the bad chi down.
I see you've got plenty of counter space there so why not sprinkle some life on that area with a small pot of greenery. 🌱
Hello! Haha thanks for the fengshui tips but I'm not big believer of fengshui HAHA actually our counter space quite tight alr you should see it when we prep food literally no space hahah
Is there a specific reason you kept the kitchen enclosed, and didn't put a half wall for entertainment purposes? I could find a few reasons, but they might not be accurate, but I thought:
To keep fur out of the kitchen
To reduce noise while keeping the space open
To avoid spills onto waiting guests
But I also thought that you have:
More cleaning to do
Less interaction
Less fresh air, which might fog up the windows when using the kithen (I do see a vent, but if it's an active one, it should be fine)
Hihi yea you're right, mainly because we didn't want the cooking smell to linger over to the kitchen considering that the living/dining area is quite small so ya haha and also of course the fur

Nice design. I never really fancied the word Japandi but I'd think your design was 80 minimalist Japanese 20 minimalist Scandi. Which is nice imo.
Is the dining table lamp also from taobao? Which model is this? The cable seems very well hidden.

I like everything a lot except 3 particular things: - kids room could have many more climbing features like a cat wall, it seems a bit poor in stimulation for them. - kitchen floor is great for concealing any dust or dirt, I totally agree but this pattern kinda hurts the eyes to look at. - coffee table is far too high for the sofa height. That balcony is 5 stars!!
