Architects’ design aesthetics is a whole new level. This is the first time I’m seeing excessive use of carpentry making small spaces look classy instead of cookie-clutter. I’m impressed 🙏🏻

They had only lived there for 5 months. I respect his they're waiting to find the perfect stools and perfect artwork, and are waiting for memorable occasions that will inspire them to purchase things for the home. They seem like a very thoughtful and intentional couple. The kitchen design is interesting. I like how he needed an island by the door for nostalgic reasons.

I like the consistency of the rounded corner combined with cabinets... This is house gives me the vide of a 5 stars hotel !!

I like the idea of making some corners curved and interjecting them with curved furniture too for seating. It actually made the corner useful rather than keeping it as a dead space. Very clean design!

Wow!!! I am a minimalist myself and I can’t stress enough how much I love this!!! It has a very peaceful feel. I love white interiors though if it was me, I’d have more white walls and some artwork for a bit of warmth. Other than that, this is gorgeous! The plant suits very well in the living room. It’s stunning.

The plants really add coziness to the space
Half the plants won't make it. There's just not enough sunlight. If they turn on their lights 24hr then maybe can survive, but the bills... 💸💸💸

im really impressed with how this couple thought outside the box to create incredibly functional elements for their everyday life! features like a removable, soft-cushioned seat and an extendable dining table for guests are perfect ideas they come up with! also their commitment to minimalism also contributes to a profound sense of calm and serenity! oh yes, definitely! once again, a big round of applause!! as soon as you step inside, you must gasp :)
Their commitment to minimalism creates such a serene atmosphere. Hats off to them-walking in here definitely leaves you in awe!
I think this space is very nice, but I would appreciate waiting until it's been fully decorated. Also to wait until the house is more lived in, and design solutions are tried and tested to be actually functional over the long run.

Very lovely space by these talented people! Excellent sense of proportions and curves and the whole home looks unified with the warm wood tones. Finishes look very clean too. I really hope to see more of this couple’s work in a bigger space where they could play with more materiality.

Wow this is one of the prettiest designs I've seen! Really loving the cozy atmosphere, neat hidden storage, smooth curves, seamless flushed furnitures, and all the gorgeous carpentry! Such a well-thought out personalised design, down to the choice of different doors and unconventional arrangements (like the kitchen island near the entry). I can't buy a house within the near future yet, but I will love to incorporate these aspects into my own home.
Personally for my own use case, will choose lighter wall and wood colours for a brighter living-dining area + add more tabletop space for work/study/painting. I agree with hiding most clutter, but for ease of access I'd add some floating open storage higher along the wall and a leaning wall shelf to display and store small items. Wonder how much was the renovation and furnishing cost for this?

Some people like the dark ambiance 😊 But you can always add additional lighting to the home
It's quite obvious that the design thinking comes from the owners themselves and not cut and paste work from "IDs". Unlike most vids, the owners look native rather than 'planted' in their home.

At 8:37, how does adding a platform in the room, effectively lowering the ceiling, make for a more spacious room as she describes it? I'm confused by that comment and the design decision? Was there some structural or utility reason why a platform needed to be built?
A step up platform makes a tatami style bed feel more comfortable and less like a mattress on the floor! So they could choose that style of bedding which keeps everything visually low instead of a standard raised bed frame plus headboard plus mattress which would added up in volume and feel like there's a big object smack in the middle of the room (which is atypical of most rooms hahaha so no fault with that). They prefer more visual 'airiness' I suppose!
Well done! It may not necessarily be my style, but I still find this apartment extremely beautiful & functional! You know it is going to be great one, when you hear that the owners are architects 😅

It is, the home is such a relaxing place
really impressive. spatial planning, cohesiveness, functionality all meshed into a final superior product. i wonder how many of the so called "IDs" in Singapore can conceptualize and produce this kind of design and finishing. I especially loved that island counter with the curved door for his wine glass storage. Im definitely stealing that idea. Also that cosy dining area and the fact that they dont have a designated wall space for a television, really makes it so unique and even more spacious. Its like theres no center piece for their living room. I was at first repulsed by him sitting by the window in the full glare of the sunlight "trying" to read a book but was then blown away by its use for a projector screen. so sick. The curvature of the false ceiling fits so well with the position of the floor carpet. not a fan of the masterbedroom as the full height wardrobe seems abit too claustrophobic for me.

@@StackedHomes holy shit i just realised something, i noticed the supply air grilles at the side of their false ceiling. did they actually install a casette unit for their living room and concealed it within the false ceiling? i didnt notice any wall mounted fcu in their living room

Love the design and cosy vibes! But oddly the space between the bed and wardrobe is sooo narrow. It seems pretty uncomfortable opening the doors. Was the wardrobe originally not supposed to be there?

The unit is tastefully done just feel a little dark and low ceiling. Hopefully it ages well with time and the next owner would benefit immensely!

Undeniably well renovated but given its intention not to open the windows, the utilities bills will be high. The tree in the living hall will suffer given the constraint height and space allowed for it.

I don't mind using fake plants, it is less hassle to keep and forevergreen. I have never seen ikea kept live plants in their showroom, but still very pleasing and cozy to the eyes nonetheless.

Ohhh to be a very skilled architect. I’ll have to suffice with 2 acres in the rural country in Queensland Australia where our grandkids can run and play, dig for worms, gather eggs from our 9 chickens, and ride on our 2 ride on mowers with us for fun. Nice home here tho.
