I actually unsubscribed and set your channel to "Do not recommend" last year due to all the intra muslim drama you were involved in.
I came back just now to check up on you and by scrolling your page I see you have decided to change your focus!

Masha’Allah, Dawud Adib, this is a name I recognize from cassette tape lectures my dad had in the 90s (still has actually). My Arab dad became Salafi around that time so I believe Dawud was part of that change, Alhamdulilah. May Allah reward you with tremendous goodness. I even remember going to an all-black masjid for Eid prayers because my dad said they are the best Salafi/Sunnah-practicing people in the region. ❤

SubhanAllah, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the name! It immediately stirred up so many memories. It was 27 years ago that I became Muslim. I was living in Oregon and trying to learn Islam on my own through books and the internet (which was much different than it is now).
Alhamdulilah, a brother which I met over the internet, sent me a few tapes by Dawud Adib. I listened to them 100's of times. It was through him that I was introduced to dawatus Salafiyah. I didn't know anything at the time about all the drama that was associated with the "movement", I just knew the Islam he was talking about resonated with me and made sense. A lot more sense than some of the Islamic books I had been getting from the library or other things I had seen on the internet.
May Allah reward the Brother. He impacted a lot of lives, more than he probably knows! It was a treat to see this well done interview! Alhamdulilah!

Such an exemplary interview! I immediately clicked on this title when I saw Shaykh Dawud Adib's name. Wowwww! His transition and humbleness is quite inspiring. He has always had such a distinctive voice. I remember listening to him on cassette tapes and CDs in the Mid 90's and early 2000's. Such growth and example of Allah's mercy and compassion. Walhamdulillah!

I remember when I used to talk to Dawud and he was kind enough to give me some of his time being such a busy man and I was worried about talking his head off. I asked him being that you listen to a lot of people’s problems do you have anyone to talk to about your problems? He said yes and if I didn’t I’d go crazy! One of the names mentioned in this documentary was his friend and Shaykh that he would go to. I say that to say listening to this I can connect the dots from some of the conversations I’ve had with Shaykh Dawud.

What is the evil catalyst that keeps the Salafis at each others throats ever since the early 90s ? Whenever we are able to discover that ,we will see how" divided and conquer" is an effective historical strategy used time and time again against the lower masses to destroy themselves as a nation by infecting them within by exploiting inward fighting and constant bickering over subsidiary issues until their spirit leaves them and they become helpers to the enemies of Islam, against their own Muslim brothers out of bitter contempt and with merciless hearts while the Shaytan beautifies all of it and disguises it as a form of righteousness and piety in their minds. نعوذ بالله

My brother Sajid, I notice a lot of Western tourists when they come to visit Arab countries as long as they talk about the oppression of Muslim women, the persecution of homosexuals, the oppression of humanity, the absence of freedom, etc.
I think it is important to educate Western peoples about the difference between our standards in human and women’s rights, freedoms, rights, duties, and social responsibilities between Islamic law and liberal laws.
For example, we believe in freedom as long as it does not negatively affect the individual or society, such as adultery, usury, gambling, drugs, alcohol, revealing clothes in public places, etc.

    Time stamp: 1:13:03 "The shift"
    الحمد لله
I was guided to Islam in 93 and accepted the Dawatus Salafiyah mid to late 90, through my husband's cousin. The cousin was attending the masjid of Abu Usama Adhabi, in Orlando, FL. (He left the US for many years to the UK/has since returned within the past year, to Orlando, FL).
We attended QSS 13/14, along with many other CONferences/eventually began to hear a witness "The shift"
That "shift" has (and to a small degree) caused much chaos and fitnah. To the degree of broken families, friends marriages, and even some people leaving Islam😢 (especially the children of some of du'at).
That "shift" fractured many Muslims Islam. May Allah forgive us and them and keep us and them upon the straight path.
    آمين أجمعين

People are still mystified over what happened to us since the 90s. The Cold War ended, and the US no longer needed KSA to push Salafiyya agenda as a counteraction to Arab Nationalism which was being supported by Russia. Now, the US needs Salafiyya to conform to Liberalism as "Moderate Muslims" which we see in KSA today, so we must obey the ruler who will obey the USA. And the Refutation culture was created as a perfect recipe for divide and conquer the Muslims' hearts by causing them to hate each other over any single petty difference.without any mercy . نعوذ بالله من الفتن ما ظهر منها و ما بطن

As I’m almost coming to the end of this video I wanna share Shaykh Dawud explained to me back in the 90’s what taqleed was and it opened my eyes to question some of the behaviors I witnessed locally and abroad amongst those people who called themselves “salafeez” that exemplified the behavior and mindset of taqleed. When I heard when “the noble brothers” slandered Tahir saying that he was on the podium with Farrakhan I contacted Tahir and brought that to his attention. While all this was going on I was questioning why would anyone claiming to believe in Allah and the last day would intentionally lie and slander to discredit the character of another Muslim caller/daee? My personal conclusion was that there had to be an organization supporting and behind those that promoted and encourage others to spread this destructive ideology so much so it became a sect ie another religion. I think there were some hidden pressure that made some behave like that because in my mind these brothers knew better. Tahir never folded that I know of. He always stood his ground. Some had to go through a process before they got up the courage to stand on their own. Alhamdulillah the elephant in the room series was cleaning out the closet that helped others to break free from the get down or lay down dawa. Unfortunately this infected the Muslims in my locality so much so it created an unnecessary civil war that broke relations between brothers that were friends for over a decade.

I learned about Salafiyya via the mail delivery at our Masjid Al Fajr in Chester, PA from donated literature in Arabic back in 1985 from the courtesy of the Saudi government. Salafiyya in the 80s was about worshipping Allah alone with the Quran at heart, studying the details of the Sunna with an interest in the authentic Hadiths and sound Fiqh. It was about learning the books that were rich with quotations of the Salaf Salih. It was having a burning desire for learning the Aqeeda and other sciences of the Din from the giants among the Ulema who offered life changing insights into the Quran and Sunna through their lectures and books which cleansed us of the lethargy and innovations that marred our understanding of Islam. During that period, tapes and gatherings built a sense of brotherhood around seeking knowledge and loving each other for being conscious Muslims who loved the authentic Sunna. After Desert Storm of 1991 the invisible hands of the CIA , FBI and RAND organizations leveraged the inseparable facts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia being both the home of Mecca and Medina, and at the same time a client state of Britain first and then the United States.of America. The US Dollar isn't based on a gold standard anymore, rather it's the Petro Dollar that talks and rules with iron claws . And along with the Petro Dollar came Petro Islam that emphasizes obedience to the ruler who is , in reality an Imperial subject of American hegemony.Consider the overwhelming pressure of being in fact 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were citizens from Saudi and America let the Kingdom off the hook and falsely attacked Iraq and Afghanistan instead .With the conditions that Saudi get its house in order by rolling back Salafiyya with more Liberalism and Secularism. So the new" Salafiyya" is obedience to the ruler who obeys the USA and whoever speaks out about the invisible hands is a Khariji. So you must follow a certain group of Shaykhs, and belong to a certain group of Masjids ,and must only accept certain Fatwas by these particulars ,and you must not change the Munkar of Saudi Arabia with your tongue nor hate it with your heart lest you become a Khariji innovator who must be immediately ostracized. And this is the poison of confusion and dissension that has been poured into the pure well of water for Salafiyya that has made us all so sick , with the hope that we die off for good.History doesn't repeat itself , but it rhymes , from MalcolmX to the War onTerrorism and everything in between has been infiltration and sabotage against anything thats against the status quo of Liberalism, Secularism and Consumerism with the illusion of manufactured consent and an inferiority complex in the hearts and minds of the Muslims! All this is to remove the Sharia from the political governments of the Muslim lands and to make them ashamed to defend themselves from the onslaught attacks of the enemies of Allah and His Rasul by stigmatizing the word " Jihad " by conflating it with the word" Terrorism " to make the Muslims vulnerable and helpless to their violators and enemies'invasions in their homes and lands while they passively comply.WHEN WILL WE LEARN? الله المستعان

Whoahh, hold your horses there. You went too far and treading kharijee waters. So the desert storm made you a kharijee? Be careful brother. You talk too much and especially too much politics: petro dollar, petro Islam, etc. what the heck are you talking about? You better control your tongue and worry about your akhirah. Allah does not burden you with Saudi government., while you yourself living in a kafir land under kafir skirts, Worry about yourself, your family and your akhirah!

Even the label “Shaikh” has been normalized to refer to people of religious knowledge, when it literally means “old man” in Arabic. Prophet Muhammad was only called by his name, or the “Messenger of Allah”.

Salafiyya is nothing but the original, pure understanding of islam. Yes, there are those who associate with Spubs and co have gone to the extreme of tabdee and those gone to th extreme of tamee, watered down. Or just have the Aqeedah Salafis but not the manhaj. This fitna occurred just after the Gulf war with the Ekhwan Muslim causing the problem.

The problem is more complex than Ikhwan Muslimeen. We can cite some in bullet points; 1) Saddam Hussain 2) US 3)Jihadists 4) Madkhalism 5) Conformists 6) End of the Cold War 7) KSA .Indeed, all of these elements played a pivotal role in shaping the defeatist mindset that has prevailed after lthe Gulf Crisis, which only has increased and worsened up until now with the extremes of " Moderate Muslims " return back to before 1979 campaign, and the "Refutation culture " causing mass dissension amongst the ranks of the Muslims.

@AbuMoosaa Islam is a comprehensive Din and Rasullah demonstrated the best of roles in life. Be it Manhood, Fatherhood ,Neighborhood, Military General or the Distributor of wealth. Islam is a complete system for human affairs. Allah is never neglectful ,so He has addressed every aspect of the human condition and experience ; Politically Socially, Economically Publicly and Privately. Whatever Allah didn't mention wasn't out of forgetfulness, rather out of His mercy .

@@briancordero7674 Well said. No Muslim who truly loves Allah, His Messenger sallal laahu alaihi wa sallam and the deen, learns and implements it, would not disagree with you. The discussion is to do with Salafi Dawah and the fitna that has taken place amongst the two camps of Salafis

@AbuMoosaa The issue has many levels from top to bottom, but at the top is political, which people have been programmed to avoid. This is why there's an air of mystery surrounding these issues in those uninformed individuals who find themselves perplexed over them . Saddam Hussain was the catalyst that led to a Fatwa, which was made to offset an evil but inadvertently open the door to many evils and harms. اللهم اغفر لنا و لهم

I am this. I'm that. They got rid of my tapes. I learned from this person and that person. Do you mean you went to a lecture, or do you have an Ejazh? Labels like "24 karat Ikhwanii" and more labels, implying this and presupposing that. "Refutaton is part of Islam and it is part of Salafiyah?" By saying this in this way you are implying that they are two different things.

As Salaam Aleykum. Just say your a Muslim and the clarification of referencing the Salaf should be implicit in explaining Islam. Otherwise, you land up reinforcing the idea that its a sect among many sects.
