I don't understand why we don't focus our Dawaa on going to people who actually are looking for it and open for it instead of arguing with people who already made up their minds.
Yes,you shouldn’t force the message on these people, but dawah is a good deed because you call ANYONE who turns their back on islam intentionally or not(as you said by choice or by ignorance). The good deeds come from just putting the message of islam out there,it is not important if they accept the message or not because you don’t guide anyone,it is Allah stw who guides whom he wills. If they try to argue or insult the religion just leave the conversation, even if you can refute the slander, because there is good in avoiding disputes. I am just rephrasing and adding little wisdoms but the main point was already discussed by brother Saajid in the video.
SubhânAllah.. It's been a long time since I've seen someone on RUclips treat this subject in such a way. The way you deconstruct the topic, even in the applicability of certain verses (such as the one from Surat Al Mulk that was mentioned in the video), really opened my eyes to certain things and I can't even really explain it. The verses of the Quran are so much deeper than we might think... I really like the way in which, for every asked question, you have (by the grace of Allah obviously) the ability to find an answer that Allah has given us in the Quran, and that's the right way of doing things !!! And not, as you said, talking and arguing with our ego. JazakAllahu khayran for this beautiful video wAllahi it helped me a lot and it made me reflect on a lot of things.
Just wanted to write something like this. May Allah bless you and preserve you brother Saajid, ameen. May Allah gather us all in jannatul firdews with shaheed, prophets and good people, ameen.
Bro Saajid truely truely didn't waste a single second in this 16 minutes and 32 seconds long video. MaasyaaAllah it's beautiful. Baarakallahu fiik wa jazaakallahu khair.
Jazakumu Allahu khayran ustadh, this is a very good reminder. As a former atheist, I used to be very concerned about debating 'stubborn' atheists, to the point I spent more time learning how to counter their arguments than I did with the Qur'an subhana Allah. Then alhamdu Lilah Allah guided me away from this trial. Convey the message in the best way, but don't ever think your role is to guide the people's hearts. Don't fall into the trap of shaytaan
Jazakallahu khair brother Saajid! This is such an important reminder for all of us. It's our inferiority complex that makes us want to own them in an argument so badly, forgetting that we were honoured with the truth of Islam and their opinions on the Deen just do not matter. If we seek honour in anything else other than Islam, we will be humiliated.
I have to say this - I’m pretty sure I drove a colleague away from Islam by calling names and insulting while ‘debating’. My intention was to ‘intellectually destroy’ and not to invite. This was a direct influence on me by DH. That’s what he taught me. I was frustrated when they didn’t just submit and accept everything I said - totally oblivious to what dawah actually is. I only listened to DH because I listened to you first - your thoughts on the yaqeen LGBTQ issue. I used to read yaqeen and had no yaqeen - but DH vs AP really changed my perspective. You could say I truly entered into Islam after that. The arguments of DH, to the specific points of AP, I had never heard of before. Omer Suleiman, NAK were all just trying to liberalise and twist Islam to fit into liberal worldview instead of criticising the assumption of liberalism itself. Now this may sound like an argument for DH - but, I see that giving a platform to an atheist and spending hours and hours debating is not in fact necessary to produce this effect. It is sufficient to list the usual doubts/points of liberals (or christians, or whatever other group causing doubts) and then refute them one by one from a proper Islamic perspective. In other words, the value in that debate was the ideological annihilation of atheist/liberal principles and the establishment of the superiority of Islamic principles. This can be done without platforming an atheist and wasting 5 hours on a debate. I wish I had a better understading of dawah, and Islam, from the get-go. I followed DH every day for almost 2 years and the guy mostly taught me a lot of right wing conspiracy theories 🤦🏻♂️
“How to approach people who only listen to rational arguments”. Doesn’t this imply that Islam is inherently irrational? If there were any rational way to present it, this question wouldn’t have to be asked. And this is not to single out Islam, I feel that all religion is irrational. I just happened to stumble upon this particular video. I also wonder if the person asking this has genuine intentions for the person they’re engaging with, or if they just want to win an argument/debate in the moment. Edit: I appreciate that you did address my last point in the video!
Alhamdulilah, the beauty of holding on firm to the Quran and the Sunnah.. You will never go astray. JazakALLAH Khair for that explanation My Brother Saajid

Good day to everyone and especially - hello to the author of the channel Saajid Lipham. I will share my thoughts. I would like to live according to the wise and reasonable principles of Islam. Serious arguments are needed to consider real, for example, the interaction of the angel Jibril with Muhammad. How to check it? Or another example, the journey of Muhammad on a winged horse and his ascension through the seven heavens. It is clear that the possibility of miracles is rationally permissible if one believes in the Almighty Creator, but again, how can one verify this? There are a lot of such supernatural narratives with vivid descriptions in religion. And if you do not believe in this, then according to Islamic theology you will be subjected to eternal torment. That's the problem. How, for example, to understand that there was a divine intervention. Different events can be interpreted in different ways. You know yourself, among the possible answers to the prayer (dua) is protection from some kind of trouble in this world or some good in the afterlife. Again, there is no way to check this. And so the hypothesis of the origin of life due to a Reasonable design has the right to exist. The moral values of the Abrahamic religions (including Islam) are rational and useful for people: caring for those in need, respect for parents, commitment to the community, marital fidelity, a strong family, kindness to others, responsibility for their work and much more. In general, I have no complaints about faith in higher values. These may be social constructs, but they are necessary for us as living people. I'm not talking about the importance of science and medicine in contributing to the well-being of human society. Take a look at history, it was only recently that the quality of life and its duration were significantly increased thanks to vaccines, antibiotics, surgery and much more. Is it the result of the activity of people or the Almighty Creator? It is clear that science, medicine, and technology are not only beneficial. And I don't fall into scientism. Most modern scientists, especially in the field of natural sciences, are not religious at all, have an atheistic position, not that they observe Islam. Like that. I would have to go to a doctor to get a procedure, meaning I would have to get some external forces. I don't believe cell mutation makes it happen. As far as I know, cell mutation mostly causing tumor or cancer that's actually life threatening rather than increasing the chance of survival. Even Richard Dawkins explanation about the evolution of eyes couldn't convince me because he said some photosensitive cells made an organism able to detect movement of light and dark and thus detecting the movement of prey and predator and improving its life. My question is, since when a single organism is able to process the information from outside and response to that information. Since when a single cell is considered alive? The process of decoding raw data inside our brains and turns it into thoughts, memories, and cognition is very complex. And I don't believe the nervous system was formed out of the necessity to survive. It makes me question whether we live because we evolve or we evolve because we live.
@@Annemarie_case143 Let's assume that all your points against evolution is valid (it isn't, but we will get to that later). How does that prove creation as being true? Just because one claim is proven false, doesn't make the other true automatically. So, what evidence do you have in support of Creation?
i've only watched the first minute. but as one of the arrogant ones. as one how's heart has been sealed by allah. i think your only good arguement for a stauch atheist is pascal's gambit. of course the response to that is, won't this all knowing god not know you are not a true believer. there is no rational arguement for the existance of the god of abraham. too many of the laws supposedly revealed don't make good sense, are irrational.
If you wanna believe in God then good for you, if you don't then it's not our business. We both are only human who one day will face death and we place our bet to see what really happens after we die. You do you, we do us.
My brother it's not Allah did give us chances, there is so many meaning behind all this things. We have so many miracles in Islam, why are you taking the risk and wishing for punishment. Just try to learn with good scholar, arguing will get you no where. Just take your time and learn.

i've only watched the first minute. but as one of the arrogant ones. as one how's heart has been sealed by allah. i think your only good arguement for a stauch atheist is pascal's gambit. of course the response to that is, won't this all knowing god not know you are not a true believer.
there is no rational arguement for the existance of the god of abraham. too many of the laws supposedly revealed don't make good sense, are irrational.
@khaliilbinammar4700 i didn't jump to any conclusions. i gave my opinion. what conclusion do you think i jumped to?
@khaliilbinammar4700 i didn't ask any question. what quesiton do you think i asked?
@khaliilbinammar4700 what is that? use your words.
