Even 2 years after you made the Square One videos, new Sketchupers, like me, discovers and find them very useful. Getting into Sketchup without taking the time to know the basics, are very timeconsuming. Thank you fore sharing these informative videos :-)
These square one videos are really good, short, sweet. Maybe in this series or another I'd like to see more on construction geometry. Seeing this eraser tool video made me think more about erasing such geometry. In particular how, if possible to construct "points" in 3d space. It seems like this should be easy, but havn't been able to figure it out.
Hey there, two things: 1. I don't get what does smoothing give if the actual object remains the same, remains as rectangular as it was before. In what situation does this function help? 2. My Cmd key doesn't do unselecting as it does in Aron's video at 2:48. I'm using the web version, btw. My says "Command = toggle unsmooth/unhide".
I was viewing the Line video of square one series. I cannot see the entity menu that is shown on the line video as I take it it is an older video and new changes might have taken place. Therefore if you can let me know where the entity menu shown on the top right side of the screen is presently in the 2024 version.
Hey Aaron,I was wondering how would you go about drawing kerf-bending wood in SketchUp. For example kerf-bent plywood...not sure if there was a video on that. Thanks
If you are erasing and realize you don't want to... instead of finishing the erase and undoing, you can press Esc while you are erasing and it cancels the erase.
I’ve been using sketch up for several years and had no idea the eraser tool could be used to smooth lines or hide lines. THanks Aaron
This square one series is really helpful for us beginners. Keep up the good work.
I am just getting started with Sketch Up. These short, focused tutorials are perfect. Thank you.

Thanks! I'm really liking these fundamental tutorials.
Thanks, Aaron. This is exactly the kind of content I need right now.

Great tutorial Aaron!. Those details, like the use of some keys, that maybe I overlooked, are the most important in these series. Thanks!!!!
Great series Aaron, learnt something in each one so far. Thank-you.

i’d like to see a comprehensive video on the ‘follow me’ tool. I think sketchup could use layer groups that would be helpful
