Great video! I tried to make a sphere, but it simply does not work. I work with SketchUp Make 2017. Does this version maybe not support making spheres with the Follow-me tool ?
Great stuff as always. I think if you follow me a profile round a circle that would be called ‘lathing’ ‘cos it’s like turning it on a lathe. I think the first video I ever watched of yours was you doing a follow me of a shape with 6 or so voids that magically made a tubular steel handrail. I guess that’ll be in part deux!
Ive made a spring using follow me, the circle follows the spiral, ok. But I have changed the circle for a triangle but the triangle rotates as well as climbing the spiral. It doesn't matter if the circle rotates its still a circle
This was very helpful. I’m really enjoying this series. I’ve just started exploring the follow me tool. In the first example, does the shape need to touch the path?
My FollowMe success rate is about 20%. What is interfering with my attempts? Profile perpendicular to path: check. Gaps in path: check. Errant geometry fragments on profile or on path: check. Highlight path>Select FollowMe tool>click on profile face. Nothing happens. Repeat. Nothing happens. Repeat....
Thanks Aaron, probably my most used and favorite of all tools. I use it for custom railing profiles and leader pipes and other custom symbols to be used over in Chief Architect Premier. Even though in CA it’s doable, I just find SU does a much better job. JMO. Stay safe and thanks. Oh quick question, is upping the faces/facets, how and is it doable/recommended as far as file size? Doug
Hi Aaron I design a lot of mechanical objects. Could you make a RUclips video on how to make mechanical drawings. Most drawings include cost lines and section views. Thanks, Leo
Love your content! Can you please explain in depth why the rectangle tool sometimes makes a thin or a thicker line changing the selection as shown on my video? I really can't figure it out as many times I just want to create several guides to draw a rectangle nut the selection doesn't seem to allow me to push-pull the way I want... thank you! ruclips.net/video/RJLywkI1xR4/видео.html
I have SketchUp Make 2017 and have been using this since 2018. I learned by watching the tutorials and the training series videos. My DIY/Woodworking projects are better executed if I draw them first with SketchUp. I need some help in modelling an object (dust hood) below for my dust collection system. I tried using the "follow me" and "scale" function but doesn't seem to be working. I hope you can provide me some tips or include this in one of your future videos Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you - your videos are the best on RUclips. I try to watch one every day.
couldn't live without these tutorials. finally someone that just shows how to do something without all the waffle!! thankyou
Perfect presentation! I have over 1,000 videos in my playlists. Yours rate in the top 5 percentile. Please keep it coming.
Loving these skill builder vids....just the right length for my short attention span!
Learning so much with this series! So helpful
Aaron, always a pleasure to listen to your relaxed tones... whatever the lesson.. you are a natural teacher
Really cool! Been using since 2003 and never knew about subtracting with the follow me tool.
I've been waiting on this one! For some reason, it always gives me fits. Thanks for the lesson.
I love the square one videos. Thank you.
These are awesome learning tools. thanks for making them and improving lives.
I always forget about this tool...lol so many times I could use it to make my life easier.
Thanks Aaron, looking forward to the more advanced uses of this tool.
Square One videos are most definitely helpful. Thank you.
Thank you for a very helpful tutorial. You are an excellent instructor.
Hi. Aaron a wonderful explanation of the follow me tool.
Thanks AAron. Best one yet, I was thinking of a bunch of ways to use this in my drawings.
Thanks, I can now use this tool 👍
Always confused about how to use this! Love it!
Thanks mate! I am learning so much from your videos.
Nailed it. Great teaching approach.
Love these videos. How do you round over the edge of a circle that was cut onto a cube?
Love this tool, Cheers Aaron!
This command has indeed had me flummoxed. Can't wait to try the different order (select path first, then face!) and bring the blood pressure down!
Brilliant! Thanks a mill!
Great help with a tool I've had some trouble with.
Learning all the time 👍🏻
Love this tool! Thank you!
Thanks. going though the tutorial then the next time I was working in SU, I saw a lot of places I could use that.
Life Saver!!!! Thank youuuuu!!!!
Awesome explanation
Thank So much Sir 😊!!!

how cool is that !
Thanks 👍👍👍🤝
Whenever I use follow me on bends, the shape that is created is broken on the bends with several faces missing. I just can't make it work.
Thank you for lesson followed me tool is difficult to for croosing line example grooving corss on plane?

how did you put the rectangle on the green axis? mine is only on the flat axis
Try tapping the left arrow key.

I already follow you, Aaron! Well, at least your very well done videos.
great
Very cool stuff...however, the order is wrong. This video is at the end of the playlist whilst "More Follow Me" is near the beginning.
Очень классно. Я новичок, для меня очень полезно
