Glamour is so sassy 😂 And Todd never stops amazing me. He immediately answered “Glamour” right after Dad asked “Who ouched your back?” His grasp of communication is astounding 🙀
20 Jingle Balls? There are probably 25 in the entire world, and Todd now controls 20 of them? In cat land, he's like a CaTrillionaire! All that fortune and power must have gone to his head, however, because Glamour, a poor kitty who likely can't afford even an Orb of Sadness, had to give him a little smack down to remind him that despite his great wealth, he still uses the litter box like all the other cats in the house. I just saw this video and was thinking the same thing! So smart! Also laughing because my mom has a long haired female cat that sometimes gets mad at her "brother" for just existing 😂
I felt bad for Todd. He was hurt, imo, both physically and emotionally. He was still thinking about it hours later. Glamour is just a grumpy old lady, understandable, losing your sight must be difficult. You are very intuitive with Todd when he speaks. You often "get it" very quickly. What a special bond between a man and his kitty. ❤😻
When Todd said, "Look what jingle ball," I wonder if he was just trying to point out it was on the floor. He knows you don't usually leave them where they might get stepped on.
Holy Mackerel, is all I can say! He really understands English. Amazing. I know he’s smarter than the average, but it makes me wonder how many words my own cats understand.
Billispeaks showed that the cats are always listening to what is going on. In one of the videos Kendra was talking in the background to her boyfriend about getting ready to work out, and Billi touched "Bye".
I had a cat that absolutely understood more than 50 words. I made a list & other family members can confirm. This was around 2004. Before I knew about these talking buttons. Each cat is different, but every cat seems to understand "treat". You just need patience ( repetition of words), affection and observation. Or, try the buttons. I tried them with my current cats, they wanted nothing to do with buttons. We just talk to each other, the best we can
Hi kitties and Dad, and family, I'm watching this and feeling awed that Todd is able to tell you about his back, he did get a swipe from his sister I believe? The fact he remembers that Glamour did it and his back hurts and he tells you, wow, Todd is awesome! Also when he speaks, then waits, I think he expects you to get it earlier than you do😂 He probably thinks you should know what he means immediately! I mean, the way he quickly said Glamour in answer to your question, well he probably thinks you can do the same! Love their antics, keep up the videos Todd!❤❤❤
Poor Todd! Nobody wants to feel responsible for being injured when they really didn’t do anything to start trouble! (He may change his behavior towards Glamour.) Cool how he articulated where he was hurting! And that was nice follow-up you did with him!
Yes, I feel sorry for Todd. 😢 That said, my late tortie queen was just like Glamour is to Todd - except if our youngster was ill or injured. Then she would suddenly noseboop him and even give occasional, fast lick on his face - but as soon as he was healthy again, she would get back to her hissy, rejective self with our youngster, who always adored her anyway, just like Todd adores Glamour. Oh my heart when I see them - it's so lovely but also sad sometimes...wish my sassy girl was still with us. 🥺🐾😽
A small ouch is ever so much more painful when inflicted without provocation from a friend. Poor Todd! I remember when our son was 6 or 7, we desperately needed for him to be able to tell us what had happened on a particular school bus ride where they brought him home with a new driver, no other adult on the bus, and four hours late. His receptive and expressive language skills were not up for that, because of his autism, and all we could determine was that he REALLY needed to pee! A serious study of cats like Todd who are interested in this kind of communication could teach us a lot about how ideas and event memories are retained in the mammalian brain, to be used later and framed differently in a communication to some other. I am still haunted by the fact my son was brought home hours late by a stranger with no one else on the bus. I don't know what happened. And the bus barn supervisor had the NERVE to say, "We're not babysitters. Taking care of your kid for hours is not even our job." I didn't know where my son was, she didn't know where my son was, and she said that!
That is terrible. There were no cameras on the bus, I take it. My was was a school bus driver and she had cameras available and would have the memory cards pulled by the supervisor if she needed to find out who was misbehaving, etc. It sounds like your supervisor wasn't interested in helping, though. I'm sorry your son has to go through that.
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks He's in his mid thirties now. Nobody had cameras yet. I still don't know what happened that terrible day except I became the most anxious person in the world! Whatever happened, he doesn't remember or considers it personal. He absolutely will not discuss personal things. He considers dreams too personal to discuss, for instance.
That is terrible! 😢 I am so sorry for both you and your son! The supervisor should have been sacked, imo! Children are vulnerable and autistic children even more so! It was her job to protect him in the school - AND in the school bus as well! I sure hope he is as fine as can be, and didn't experience anything bad but that the driver was maybe just very late for picking him up and/or lost on the road. Who knows, maybe the driver took a long pause and left your son alone in the bus, which would be very bad too, but not the worst thing that comes to mind. I am so sorry! 😢
@@Esti-xg7tg Thank you. Being a parent of a child who must spend time away in school is probably just as stressful for parents of neurotypical kids. Such a lot to worry about and you don't know what the child is afraid to tell you. I had a 3rd grade teacher who liked to shake kids till our teeth rattled! She was crabby and overdue to retire. Looking back I realize we were actually afraid of her, and some of the kids responded to that fear by trying to provoke her. It was stressful! Thank you for your sympathy. He does not remember the occasion now that he is an adult so I just have to keep hoping everything was, well, not fine since he was 4 hours late, but that nothing else bad happened.
This is so cool. Todd has shown us cats can plan, so they think of the future, and they can definitely remember the past! One of my kitties liked Todd's jingle ball. She was watching from the floor, and when you got it to jingle for the puzzle box, she jumped on the desk right in front of the screen to play with it! Lol.😺
I can hear Glamour saying “snitches gonna get stitches young Todd’ 🤣😁 that is quite incredible how quickly he understood and told you, he really is so smart to actually comprehend and hold a conversation about all sorts and he clearly thoroughly enjoys the interactions.
I just love it when Todd makes complete sentences. His language sophistication is amazing. And he responded right away when you asked him who ouched his back!
Ah poor Todd I guess he learned that sometimes love hurts Glamour doesnt like to share my experience with female cats that I had they are more territorial and dont like to share there space or humans . That was amazing that Todd answered your question love it
Cats can have such varied personalities, some are more affectionate than others. I can’t believe how incredible Todd is. He is one of the most loving, cuddly cats I’ve ever seen… and I say that as someone with my own loving, cuddly cat lol. On top of that he’s engaged enough to want to learn communication, and smart enough to excel at it?! These videos literally have me in awe. Todd is truly in a class of his own. You’re so lucky to have him, and he’s clearly lucky to have such a caring and loving father.
What an amazing exchange. Glamour reminds me of one of mine. She's the only female out of 5 and will be 20yrs old next month. While she prefers to be hermetically sealed to me at nearly all times, she will not tolerate any nonsense from the boys. She's tapered off a bit due to having arthritis so I've recently started proving her with a couple supplements for it and she's been feeling so much better that she's now spicy toward them again.
Come on... that's AMAZING! Todd's intelligence just blows my mind more every time I see a video. I have started using certain key words with my cats and I feel like they are catching on. I need some buttons now! Todd you are an inspiration! Thanks ❤
Great people have been finding more jingle balls. And Glamour try being nice, I know it's hard sometimes but Todd is a nice boy and no need to be jellous.
It actually sounds like he verbally says "Glamour" just before pressing the button. My cat could say 7 words clearly, and used them accurately. I'll bet Todd can speak some, too.
Todd knows that you love him and take good care of him. He shares his thoughts, feeling, and requests with you. Todd is such an amazing communicater with you. Glamor is getting old and cranky. Poor Todd. He just wants to love her. ❤from 🇨🇦
It’s not only that the jingle ball makes a different sound, but it does not smell like his. Try rubbing the ball all over his favorite spots and this way it will pick up his scent. Or wrap it over night in a blanket he has marked. Just make it smell like your home and Todd’s scent before giving it to him and see if it helps. Cats mark their stuff. I am new to your channel, and am so enjoying watching Todd. He is so lovable and handsome. I have a cat, I believe would be good at pushing the buttons. He likes to watch Todd when I play your videos. He is 13 now, and I am afraid he will tell me off for all the years I didn’t know what he was trying to tell me. Haha
Having had a male and female cat, I learnt the female is usually submissive to the male cat but on occasion the female got really pissed off and would attack him. Like spats. Maybe Glamour is feeling left out but she won't help herself... They are beautiful cats and are good with each other generally. Well done Todd, for communicating so well. That was pretty amazing.
He actually said "Glamour" before he hit the button! I think Glamour is jealous of Todd. You can see her and hear her upset. She pouts when Todd is using the buttons. I wonder if this would make her want to learn too or turn her off completely. I have seen her by the buttons and looking at them. Todd is learning so much and with Billi's declining health she wont be learning any more new words. It will be nice to see what Todd will accomplish. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have a Mare, and while we do not have speak buttons, she tells on her neighbors ALL the time to me!!! I love these kitty videos, Todd is awesome. My mare will slightly point her nose to another horse, making sure she is watching my eye and then points with her lips and does a little knod. I swear she is saying, "that horse is doing wrong or upsetting me." My horse just wants to be heard and has things to say! Ohmagah! I wonder if she'd use buttons. :)
As others said, what is so amazing is that long after he told you about his back hurt and after cuddles and more time, you asked a question about who ouched his back and he understood and answered factly Glamour and we all have the video of the swipe to back him up. This is real dialogue and remembering context. Todd feels mistreated as he should as Dad found the scratch, but Todd is not attacking Glamour back and interacts with her calmly. But I think he feels good that he was asked about the cause of his hurt and got to tell his side of the story. Interactions within a cat family are complex and Todd needs Dad to see the whole picture. I do have a question about the Look What. I don’t recall seeing many other times Todd using the What button. Does he use it like Hmmm? I hear Dad often respond What Todd want? Can you give us some other examples of how Todd has used the What button? Thanks!
Todd has used it a few times but in what appears to be the correct context. The morning after the 4th of July fireworks, which terrifies him, he was very nervous and jumpy. He was coming into the room and stepped on his sound board and it moved a little and he jumped back startled. He said What Now. I don't know if it was referring to what game we would play next or as I think what thing will scare me next. Todd also has used it when he wants something but doesn't have the words to tell me. He will say Want What or Want Hmm. He will use What and Hmm interchangeably.
You are so good with your babies. I have 4 cats and am thinking about getting some starter buttons for them. Communication like this really seems to enhance the relationships.
We have had two cats. We lost our boy a few years ago to lymphoma. We were devastated. He survived the melamine food poisoning when he was 5. I always wonder if that had something to do with it. He was 14 when he died. Our female cat took it very hard. She pulled and licked a lot of her hair out. It was so sad to see. Belle is now 16 1/2 and is on monthly doses of Solensia and at times gabapentin. We know what it takes to keep a multiple cat family happy and healthy. God bless you got all you do for them.
I am in love with your cats. period!!!! omg, I am dying over here. His white pants are so cute too it's beyond. Todd is beautiful so pretty and glamour is too they are so cute. omg. your such a good kitty dad. it''s just so beautiful to watch. thanks for sharing
Todd is truly amazing, he has great communication skills and to be able to answer a question immediately shows how fast his brain operates. I wonder what he will do next. I have just seen the “live chat” announcement too. That sounds like great fun and I will do my best to join in as often as I can. BST is 8 hours ahead of MT but I am not sure of the time difference from your time zone. Thank you for starting a live chat 😻
It would be interesting to see how Todd reacts if you experiemented with additional responses via the buttons. For example, if Todd says "Glamour" we could get you going over to the buttons and maybe responding/reenforcing it with something like: "back ouch Glamour, hum?" There are a lot of these opportunities for additional two-way communication that it would be cool to see. Not much video editing needed either, just a longer video. It's always possible that Todd doesn't understand everything you say, but might understand more of it if phrased in button form!
Was Glamour jealous? It was like she sensed the love for Todd in Kayleigh and Harmony's card, so she knocked it over and walked on it. All done with cat cuteness. Poor Glamour, if only she could use the buttons. I would love to know what is really going on in her mind.
I have watched your wonderful videos now for many months. Your feline family members are all quite unique! However, Todd is in a class by himself, an absolutely extraordinary four pawed, fur clad soul!!! His ability to connect thoughts and make his ferlings known to you, are nothing short of remarkable. The bond that the two of you share, is profound and heartwarming! Thanks for sharing his adventures with all of us! He is one supremely gifted cat!

Glamour wants it to be just her and Dad. She has always been spicy.
Glamour and Paulie show no interest in the buttons, I continue to offer it to them. Glamour is spicy and wants it to be just her and I in the house.
How quickly he responded asking who hurt his back ~ brilliant
Thank you
Snitches get stitches! 🤣🤣🤣 Awe, really tho, so cool that Todd can express his thoughts. ❤
This is our first live chat! Pleased to (virtually) meet you!
Yes! Welcome, I'm glad you are here 😊
I swear when you asked who hurt him and he answered it sounded like 'Glamor'!!!❤️
I swear his meow sounded like he said Glamour as he went to press the button.
Todd is bilingual, so it could very well explain hesitation between words. Too cute for words!
Thank you! 😃
Maybe Todd needs a young kitten friend, instead of showing interest in Glamour!!!😉😉😉🥰
Todd is a very clever cat and loves you dearly and glamour i don't know the other cats name.
Thank you. The other cat is Paulie.
I wonder what they’re translating from when they think about which buttons to press.. 😂
Happy Easter to all!
Happy Easter 😊
@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks Thanks for the explanation. We are learning so much thanks to you and Todd!
@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks. I say "what now" when bad things happen to me but there is more profanity
You are so good with your babies. I have 4 cats and am thinking about getting some starter buttons for them. Communication like this really seems to enhance the relationships.
Glamour is losing her eyesight. Maybe she got startled by Todd.
That is a possibility
He was longing for you to give him the opportunity to spill the tea 😂👏
I had to watch again, Amazing how he was so quick to tell you it was Glamour , he understood exactly what you asked
Yes, I think that was the fastest response I have ever seen from him.
I was thinking he waited all day for you to ask. 😊
I love how sweet, patient and loving you are with them❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Hello Todd from B.C., Canada. 🤗
Hello and welcome!
🤯mind blown! Wow Todd. Quick response too.
Thank you
Oh I gotta know what she did lol ❤
We will know soon 😊
Glamour has "Marsha Marsha Marsha" moments!😅
Hi Dad and Todd. Todd is so cleaver. Glamour is so sassy. Todd is always so sweet.
Poor Todd. I had a neuter with a lifelong crush on my oldest spay. I only saw her smack him once, and he was asking for it (and loved it).
Lol. Todd loves Glamour but she would like it to be just Dad and Glamour and no one else.
I think Glamour is becoming jealous of Todd's ability to communicate
I think so too
She's been like this 15 years, she is spicy.
❤❤❤❤😊
I am in love with your cats. period!!!! omg, I am dying over here. His white pants are so cute too it's beyond. Todd is beautiful so pretty and glamour is too they are so cute. omg. your such a good kitty dad. it''s just so beautiful to watch. thanks for sharing
You are very welcome. I'm glad you enjoy the videos and are here
Uh oh-- Todd may get another “ouch” for telling on her ❤❤❤
😊
WOW! Twenty!! I'm happy for you!!❤
Thank you!!
Todd gave her a hard look 😾
He did lol
Why am I addicted to this channel 😂 😻
A real Jingle Ball! Not an Orb of Sadness!
Sweet fluffy jingle ball boy 😅❤❤❤❤❤
Todd is a sweetie.
They're beautiful cats .
So clever! ♥Is Todd the only kitty that uses the buttons?
Until now, yes. I believe Glamour is starting to use them on occasion as well.
I think Todd was saying look l’m back!
Possible, but I don't think so
Todd is truly amazing, he has great communication skills and to be able to answer a question immediately shows how fast his brain operates. I wonder what he will do next. I have just seen the “live chat” announcement too. That sounds like great fun and I will do my best to join in as often as I can. BST is 8 hours ahead of MT but I am not sure of the time difference from your time zone. Thank you for starting a live chat 😻
I am in the same time zone as New York if that can help you
Towards the end of the video where you ask Todd who ouched his back before he touched the button it sounded like he meowed ‘Glamour’….
He did meow on the way to the board
Yes and it sounded like he was saying the word ‘Glamour’ in response to you asking him ‘who was it that ouched your back’
You know, it takes me some time to gather my thoughts too. I'm getting old!
I do that, I just don't include a lot of it in the videos. He answers sometimes.
Was Glamour jealous? It was like she sensed the love for Todd in Kayleigh and Harmony's card, so she knocked it over and walked on it. All done with cat cuteness. Poor Glamour, if only she could use the buttons. I would love to know what is really going on in her mind.
No, she is spicy and wants it to be just her and Dad. The other kitties can just walk to close to her, and she may lash out.
I have watched your wonderful videos now
for many months. Your feline family members
are all quite unique! However, Todd is in a
class by himself, an absolutely extraordinary
four pawed, fur clad soul!!! His ability to
connect thoughts and make his ferlings
known to you, are nothing short of
remarkable. The bond that the two of you
share, is profound and heartwarming!
Thanks for sharing his adventures with
all of us! He is one supremely gifted cat!
You are very welcome and thank you!
Such a smart boy ❤
What glamour do to get in trouble for 😮😮😮❤❤
Todd was walking by her, and she bit hom on the back
My.cats do the samething@@TheChroniclesofToddToddTalks
So sweet!
Aw man I miss it I just woke up.
No worries, you can do next Sunday.
