- I've tried this one many times but it always ends like this. I will try it again in the future but for now...i'll let you decide who won this one
This keeps happening to me every time I make this fight. Does anyone have an idea as to what I could do? I've seen other videos where the fight plays out just fine so I don't know what I'm doing wrong
*TARGETING ARROWS
In comparasion to other videos, i think you should not get too far from the fight, like making sure the battle music is still playing or something, probably because the game would count like a retreat or somthing like that

How did u override the bird? Did u override on top of the golden gate bridge or after it goes down to its site and aggro onto you?

I did this.
Overridden a stormbird to fight a apex slaughterspine. And ima say this the slaughterspine won with like 1/3 of its health to spare. And yes I've got all override upgrades. However I don't know if a overridden slaughterpsine can beat a apex stormbird

Tbh I wish that every machine could follow you like the riding machines... because is a shame that you can override one of the alpha machines (Thuderjaw, Stormbird, Fireclaw, Slaughterspine) and they just stay there with barely any close enemies to fight and when they do, is literally small ones not at least a Rockbreaker, Tremotusk, etc. And when we finally have a fight with two titans like these of the actual game instead of a mod (which btw i love those videos) they ended up looking like this with barely any cool action :(
Agree 100%. They could have at least placed some near Rebel camps or something. They also missed a big opportunity to be able to use some of the cooler overridden machines in missions.
Hopefully they’ll follow us in the next game. I think the reason the larger machines can’t follow you is because of technical limits since the map is very complex compared to say Ark Evolved. I think another reason might be due to balance. The best solution I can think of would be to make it so that you can summon a bigger machine like a thunderjaw in a large area where it can roam. Like for a example imagine the desert part of the map where the desert clan capital is in forbidden west is where a thunderjaw can roam and follow you but when you leave the biome it can’t follow because of it’s obvious size limit.

This reminds me of the really bad Godzilla movies where G and whatever monster he was up against would just stand there spamming beams at each other because the suits were so bulky the actors could barely move.
fireclaws are probably the strongest machine in the game
I agree. Their level might be lower than the slaughterspine's (42 to 45) but I honestly don't see how it would lose that fight
@@thetakasiguy7685 I think slaughterspine is intended to be the toughest machine but it's ai is glitchy. It isn't half as aggressive as a thunderjaw or a fireclaw. Maybe a patch will fix it
I agree about the Fireclaws and they were super strong in Zero Dawn too. Slaughterspines are the second strongest to me.
I think a fireclaw is more aggro but it's sac will get busted by the slaughterspine but yeah slaughterspine IA is weird
But I think a stormbird can beat the fireclaw now

Yeah, I wanted to say already in the beginning that if you stay too far from the hostile machine then things change. :)
What About Overriden Slaughterspine vs Apex Stormbird ?
You know what... I think the strongest machines of both games need a patch to be fixed or be buffed cause the Stormbird attacks way more than that and the Slaughterspine should had definetly be more aggresive since the first shock
"Machine vs machine" aspect in general needs to be improved
Because the machines often end up clipping into each other, and not keeping the distance.
And what you mentioned earlier too.

I'm disappointed on this Stormbirds really, Why in the hell Stormbirds are so aggressive when fighting Aloy, but so soft when fighting other machines for you? Even a Glinthhawk would have been more help here Imo.

Its Simple Really, Override A Machine And Set It To Agressive Mode And With Targeting Arrows You Target Any Hostile Machine Nearby (You Didn't Really Need To Shoot The Targeting Arrows Just Mark Enemy And Done) Then The Overriden Machine Will Get Em
