While I was thinking and shield my character in the tall grass, my finger slipped to square button and Dead scene start both of them saw me ….. lol thinking of hunt but run dash
I remember doing this but I really thought it wasn’t fair at that time as I buff the Tremortusk so high it manage to easily kill the Thunderjaw. Maybe I should have corrupted it with berserk arrow though not sure if it gives it a buff like the corrupted arrows in Zero Dawn.
To avoid any power discrepancies, he should shoot them with berserker arrows to see who is naturally stronger instead of overriding them which gives them a proper edge.
Love seeing machines fight each other. You know, in Zero Dawn, there's a Behemoth Convoy that passes through the Corrupted Rockbreaker zone. One of the Rockbreakers went to investigate. The Behemoth and Rockbreaker then began fighting. The Rockbreaker won, but was left at half health.
It's been like that since the first game, Overridden machines were roughly equal to a HADES-claimed machine which has slightly different A.i and stats than their normal counterpart, but at slight disadvantage against Daemonic machines.
What I did to kill them quickly instead of a hand-to-hand fight, was once I unlocked the control for the Blue-wing (the one that has the shape of a pterodactyl), fly towards an energy capsule that is in the fallen titan on top of them, grab that capsule and drop them several times (with 3 times you lower half of life especially to the Tremortusk that is weaker than the Thunderjaw to the electric element) and when they were about to die, finish them off with some explosive javelin or some triple throwing bomb, it takes a long time to kill them but it is the easiest way I know (avoids dying several times, prevents you from spending resources and ammunition and is less tiring) of course if the defect it has is that you must aim well where the bomb falls, if it falls on the tall grass where you usually hide it will not explode, you have to drop it on rocks or on ground with little grassland (for example naturally marked paths, or sandy terrain) the same happens with snow no will explode if it falls on snow! 😅😅😅😅😅
Technically, the Thunderjaw's rocket barrage is the strongest machine move in the entire game. So it would be really difficult for any large machine to win against it since they don't really dodge.
two days ago i finished on hard mode, this side mission is extremely difficult if you want to fight with them on the ground, there is also a skydrifter here. I climbed the cliff on the other side and killed them from above, a pretty easy way to complete this side mission.
I was stuck on this mission last night. 😭 I don't have overides for either machine, so I guess it's time for me to do more cauldrons. This makes it so much easier.
Did it without overrides. If you have the sunwing mount unlocked there is a horus energy cells near by it can help a bit but definitely go for the tremortusk first and stick close to where the beach is the thunderjaw won't interfere as much and there is also 2 pillars close by which wont get destroyed giving you a nice bit of coverage.
I did this exact same fight but made the TJaw defensive. TJaw wipes out the Tremortusk but took heavy damage. I was able to easily shoot off high end salvage parts off of it like the tail before it turned on me. Easily took it down from all the damage the Tusk did to it :)
The ThunderJaw is pretty much the ultimate machine killer thanks to it's rocket attack that is basically just kyrptonite for big bulky machines that don't dodge. I think the FireClaw was stronger in Forbidden West due to it's absurd bulk, but I think given the ThunderJaw buff and the FireClaw nerf, Thunderclap can probably edge out a victory in Forbidden West.
I think Thunderjaw is easy compared to Fireclaw. But only because Thunderjaw has way more components to shot on for more damage. And you can get the disc shooter. Besides the Fireclaw has what 3 spots? One on his stomach and 1 on each shoulder. And the "I pull lava out right under you" attack sucks
In other words the player can play the game like Metal Gear Solid going stealth and hacking or go gun blazing with your weapons against these machines. This game provides lots of options to work around the enemies. If the player wants a full friendly environment he can hack all the machines and have a walk in the park free of charge. I expect the third game with all these features with the addition of riding almost all the creatures. I think that the last game must be purely exclusive because of the ambitious size of the project. The third game is almost an all out war. Old consoles would not be able to cope with many of these robots fighting in a total war scenario.
It's part of a side quest who's name I dont remember. After you kill them they're gone for good. I had to constantly restart from save to do this 5-rounder
Tremortusk has way more damage part on his front then Thunderjaw. So the disc shooter alone makes way more damage. Thunderjaw has most of his damage parts on his back (Disc shooter, Radar, Ammo container, Tail)
The only thing I hate about this game is that overrides can hardly be used during any important battles, especially on main story quests. Hell you cant even call your clawstrider mount to fight sometimes.
So begins the quest to pit Thunderjaw against Slaughterspine. Can it be done? Some say no. But only one man has the ability to bring these two forces to head.
Wow, is the Thunderjaw that strong on FW or is the Tremortusk just that weak? In all the rounds the TJ won, it dealt with the Tremortusk really quickly.
