What's the handicap height of the flood rim on urinals in your area ours is 17 in, that would put the height of the flushometer Supply at about 44 from the finished floor.
The Chrome Pieces came from 2 different branches via ups...I had half the order. Water shut off is a quick 11/2 ball valve above my head..I did not mind doing just one.
Chuck with those Chrome sleeves are they stainless steel or brass? I just bought a brand new Ridgid Stainless steel tube cutter that has wheel bearings that cuts super smooth.
sean, stay away from them. I had to return. they were no good. The viewers all talk about Knipex pliers for flushometers. I have not got them yet. They on my list to get. check em out.
You might want to buy at blue store on Black Horse Pike these new IRWIN VISE-GRIP 10-in Plumbing Tongue And Groove Pliers. IRHT82636. The jaws are smooth. I am thinking they would be great for Sloan valves. Their self adjusting jaw feature is awesome.
You tape the threads first , then apply a little dope to stop the tape from tearing as you tighten the joint. Back in the early 60s when Teflon was starting to gain popularity when you bought some from the plumbing supply houses , the Phelps Dodge brand included a small bottle of liquid I'm fairly sure contained Teflon to swab on the tape to stop it from tearing . If your old enough you'll remember that the spools that the Teflon came on were metal, a long , long time ago in a galaxy far away LOL. 👷🏻
Chuck, I've worked on and repaired some Flushometers but never installed one. Awesome job. Keep training your sons. Awesome channel.
Thanks Harry. I was hit with the mother load of flushometers on this job. 19 to be exact.

nice work man. I use the ridgid smooth jaw pipe wrench, works really well.
You mean a spud wrench?
pipe wrench is nice..
I do a lot of McDonald's restaurants when I mess up and get the rough-in wrong we just break into the wall, it's costly but the end result is nice
ya know i wanted to and told and proposed to do it and it was squashed.
Pro tip : you can watch series on kaldroStream. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Benton Arjun Yea, been using kaldrostream for since november myself :D
Tip: if the costumer wants a very retro look, get vintage flushometers off of eBay. Keep one for yourself too, they are quite the collectors item.
Great tip!
" Like a Boss"!! Awsome job Cb
got er done my man.
Would like link to the tools u use ? If possible
what tools? or maybe I make a complete list of what we carry. hmmmm good idea
What’s the name of those pliers with the rubber teeth? That would be really helpful for not damaging the finish on fixtures
No Bueno. They did not work well at all. Took em back as defective for sure. I have been referred to a couple different pairs. I will get links.
Why not do both stops while you had the water shut off? What happened with the water rough in ?
The Chrome Pieces came from 2 different branches via ups...I had half the order. Water shut off is a quick 11/2 ball valve above my head..I did not mind doing just one.
In your opinion, who makes the best electronic flushometer?
How often do you change the blade on your pipe cutter?
have not yet. I need to.
CB-1 great install on that Chrome 90. Peace brother
yes they turned out nice for what it was. thank M
Chuck with those Chrome sleeves are they stainless steel or brass? I just bought a brand new Ridgid Stainless steel tube cutter that has wheel bearings that cuts super smooth.

Could you have just trimmed the tail piece that hooks to the urinal ????
No original rough in was too low.

Thanks MDO...we trying for sure.
EXCELLENT
I thought Sloan used to include a special tool with the flushometer
they do sell a wrench that tightens all connections but I think at oner time they put a strap wrench in kit not sure if they still do or stopped
Ya those pliers were no good...they went back to supply house for sure.
I was cringing on that last turn for you my friend !!!!
SNAP!!! thank god it did not.
You looked surprised when the water came out when you removed the stop end
surprise!!! i was because I had it drained down so I thought.

u got lucky you could tighten the top chrome piece without hitting the tile. lates
yo Dave...great eye..I did sweat that first crank. lucky lucky
i like to dope then tape the thread
Dan I saw some other plumbers doing the same. I may try that too.
Funny around here it seems that most plumbers like to tape then dope so opposite of you but still both.
You tape the threads first , then apply a little dope to stop the tape from tearing as you tighten the joint.
