Short video to show a jig I use when drilling light pulls on a pillar drill. Plus I turned a light pull as well just to make it a few minutes longer!
Very nice Pete. Thank you for sharing
Thank you, it is just one of the jigs that makes my life easier
Nice wee jig Pete, simple but effective. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Gary simple and effective is my preference 😀
Nice jig, thanks for sharing, Pete.
Thank you Ward, these little simple jigs can make a big difference sometimes. I like to share the idea when I remember!
Clever idea Pete, thanks for sharing this.👍👍👍
You are welcome Mark, I have these strange ideas when I have to do something a lot I look for ways to cheat!
Another cool jig Pete thanks for sharing
Thank you Brian
Nice jig Pete. I can see the advantage when batching these out.
Great video mate.
Take care Pete.
Cheers, Huw
Thank you Huw, think it would also work well for pen blanks if you wanted to prep a batch together.
@@PeteTwistedTrees Yes indeed.
Nice work Terry
Thank you John, I am Pete, I was covering for Terry
@@PeteTwistedTrees I'm sorry pete I meant pete
Nice one Pete 👍👍
Thank you William
That drilling jig was cool great idea
Thank you, think it was my idea, though I have probably seen something somewhere that inspired it 😀
Great idea Pete
Thank you Gav
Nicely done Pete. Was telling Mark the other day that I’m going to try making a drive. They are expensive here in the US. Great project.
Thank you Doug, the light pulls themselves could be turned between 2 60° points, but the drive has many advantages. I often use it to turn pieces that have a tenon on the end so the 3mm hole can be hidden. They are £20 over here and well worth it over time.
@@PeteTwistedTrees $40-$50 here
Cool little jig. Definitely see the advantage for a production run.
Wes @ Piedra Designs
Thank you Wesley, I like simple jigs, for the time this one takes to make it is good even for a run of 10 or so pieces. with the 4 sizes on mine it comes in for quite a range of one off small spindle work as well.
Very nice pete what size spindle gouge was that and i like the jig idea
Thank you Roy, that was a half inch Ashley Isles spindle gouge. This one www.ashleyilestoolstore.co.uk/turning-tools/gouges/12mm-1-2-spindle-gouge
