  • I put together a video with clips from my 1 year weight loss transformation. It was TRULY a MIND and BODY transformation! And, believe it or not, my MIND transformation was FAR greater than my body transformation. I'm hoping that by showing my transformation it will help provide weight loss motivation to others.

    "Do more of what makes you happy" may seem like a over-simplistic explanation, and to some may feel like a disappointing message in light of his transformation. You may feel like you want to know what the "secret" was. I think as simple as the message may first appear, there is some layered depth to it. So often we *don't* do what makes us happy...we do what gives us short-term gratification (food, booze, sex, drugs, etc.), and we deny ourselves the real substantive things in life that ultimately provide the longer term growth and peace of mind. "Do more of what makes you happy" is an affirmation, and a reminder to treat yourself well, be good to yourself, give yourself permission to live your life to it's fullest.

    Notice how the last 10-15% of the weight he wanted to get off took almost as long as the other 85% did before. This is key to take in consideration when you want to reach your dream physique. It's not a linear process, the closer you are to your goal, the slower the process, so just keep grinding and don't give up 💪

Cutting out stress, walking 4 miles a day, and cutting out most fried foods and anything high in oil/mayonnaise has got me where I am. 9 months for 57 pounds isn’t very aggressive but it’s a whole lifestyle change to be a healthy stress free person where weight loss happens to be the result. congrats! I personally know the feeling , well in my smaller context. I was 95kg and im a rather small guy so i was very overweight. I also went into body transformation mode full attack for a year , at 9 months I actually reached my goal and at one year i was 71kg with good lean muscle added as well. To anyone else who watched this mans success and also perhaps reads this. May you be inspired - it is possible to do it and maintain it afterwards. I would suggest to get into a strong steady routine of training first. before focusing on diet. Hear me out , I know diet is of course very very important but wihout the training the mental strain of keeping to a diet is much harder. When you are training all the time , it mentally transforms your mindset to want to follow your diet.
    I had to start with just walking 2km every day , 6 days a week , I then started adding in bike rides ( 10km every second day ) , then jump rope , walks became jogs and then weight training ( did it all from home , no gym involved). Some days I did them all ;) keeping track of your progress is also important. Also a small tip , just record every new record low on the scale. Dont get flustered over the fluxuations in between. This happens for all sorts of reasons and should be expected. Also there are weeks where it will plateau , in those moments just stick to the plan and know it will eventually start dropping again. Sugar is the enemy , so are soft drinks and fruit juices. Drink everything zero sugar ,also restrict the amount of bread you at. I ate oats evey morning with a tea spoon of raw unprocessed honey or two boiled eggs. I ate a 250g steak 3 times a weak for supper, no sides. and yes the whole intermittent fasting thing is really key .. get supper done early and then , no more eating for the rest of the night until morning. Lastly I did eat ice-cream or a packet of chips on a cheat day once a week ;)

      I can relate. The one thing I realized was my impulsivity, and the mental tickle of clicking the mouse and buying a stock. Learned to wait wait wait for a compelling low price and reason to buy the stock. Rarely do you miss a stock that shoots to the moon, and the boat you just missed might just sink. So be patient. This is my most important investment lesson. About losing weight and putting on muscle, Its hard for this 68 year old to find a work out partner to help with the discipline and routine.

      What do u mean with mindset??

    • @A.I.-
      @A.I.- 5 лет назад +44

      @@TheBandiidoo
      Mindset = The way you think about things.
      You shouldn't be THINKING of losing weight. You should be THINKING about how JUNK FOOD destroy your health and the planet. You should be THINKING the positive benefits of exercise and whole food. You should be THINKING that exercise is NOT WORK, but PLEASURE to get some fresh air, enjoy the planet and it's scenery. Going for a walk is never about JUST WALKING to lose weight, walking is about having conversation with your partner, getting some fresh air, sweating to remove toxins from your body, meditating and reflecting, etc...
      People who can't lose weight have attached NEGATIVE association to healthy eating and exercise (and as far as negative association to life itself). You will walk a million miles, through hell and back, to see/visit a love one. You will never do such thing for someone who you hate.
      Do you give a shit/love about your body/temple or you don't?
      Do you give a shit/love about your family and love ones or you don't?
      Because if you do, then you look after it... If you don't, then you destroy it... The only difference is the mindset of whether you give a shit or you don't.
      A positive and healthy mindset is never overweight. If you're overweight, you have a hidden psychological issue that needs to change. Our lives are merely a byproduct of what goes on inside our minds, whether you can accept it or not.

    I think no one paid attention to the "mind transformation" he mentioned in the description. The fact alone that he liked himself way more, felt proud and competitive, makes all the effort worth it. Not to mention the body-drug called endorphines that is produced and makes you a lot happier when you are doing workouts and the real satisfaction you get from watching yourself evolve and become BETTER day-by-day.
