@@whitezombie10 A different Steiner, the real General Steiner was supposed to launch a counter-attack during The Battle of Berlin that, if successful may have let a tiny bit of pressure off of German troops left in the area. But even if he did start that attack, it ether would have not have done anything or just prolonged the inevitable by a few hours to days.

Freisinger's uniform rank has an enormous mistake, he's basically depicted as an O-(1-3), while he's supposed to be the equivalent of a full 4-star general (O-10).

Activision didn't want the Germans to speak German because most CoD players can't read so they just have to make them speak English

Did Richter honestly think he was going to win back the war in 1945? By the end of the war, the German economy would’ve lasted 1-2 months with prolonged fighting and the Allies have a pool of manpower and equipment
Also it doesn’t make sense in the context cause many German high-command (including the allies and basically anyone) saw the tide turning since 1943 when they were being pushed back by the Russians.
The movie Downfall did a great job presenting this as most of them knew they were going to lose. Many just refused to surrender, as they didn’t want to repeat the ‘betrayal’ of the previous German government that signed the Treaty of Versailles, ending the First World War. (It was burned into the German societal mindset as the categoric reason why they lost the war, that they were ‘stabbed in the back.’)
To many of them, if they were going to lose, they were going to fight until the last man standing. So I don’t get why Richter would have believed that they had a chance in changing the tide.

Not win ww2, that war was already lost. I think it was to keep the loyal party members in hiding and scheme; preparing for the next war by researching on supernatural stuff and all the wacky ideas they'd planned. Those were the operations they'd seen inside the plane right?
@@okidokiliteratureclub706 People don’t realize that the WW2 Campaign and World at War campaigns are happening concurrently in Vanguard since they’re all a part of the same timeline now, as well as Zombies, alongside BO1, CW, Verdansk 84, and MW2019 with their Spec Ops and Verdansk also happening. So while Resnov’s team is literally reaching Berlin, Vanguard takes place, the initial part of Die Machine with the Nazis heading into the Dark Aether through the particle accelerator to preserve the Nazi Army, the Nazis using Dark Aether demon artifacts to try to find a way to win the war, and setting up the plans for what will occur in Warzone Pacific and commence in hiding.
@@KingofKnowhere that’s stupid. Zombies should always be it’s own canon. Modern warfare and black ops should always be separate canons. And having vanguard in the same canon as world at war doesn’t even make sense. If there was a fourth reich in world at war, I’m pretty sure reznov would’ve told us about it.

I finished this game in 2 sittings. I was so impress its like a movie. This is my first ever call of duty campaign game. Now I'm eyeing black ops cold war and other call of duty games when discounts happen
You should try Bo1 and bo2 campaigns ,maybe not best graphics but the storyline is very good.

@@joshuakincaid7280 By this point in the war, NSDAP command was in chaos and the causalities meant lots of people were receiving lots of field promotions. I'd assume their uniforms don't match up with their ranks because of this - after all, they have better things to do than update their uniforms constantly - especially since I don't recall any incorrect rank marks being *above* the person's rank.
I literally looked away from my screen for like a second and Richard was dead. I had to look up the cutscene on RUclips to see what exactly happened lol

He's not...what are you smoking? Richter was just some pencil pushing officer. Freisinger was an SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer, and by the end of this cutscene, the Fuhrer himself. Freisinger was way above Richter in rank.
@@TeamJella No, he was an SS-Untersturmfuhrer and at the time, Richter was SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer which is higher than Freisinger. Look at the collar tabs in the video.

Vanguard campaign on Veteran was actually very easy, nowhere near the unplayable Veterans from WaW and CoD4. In WaW and CoD4 Veteran was actually a Veteran, in Vanguard tho, Veteran is just normal without hit markers.

You have to admit, the graphics and movement of characters was done great.
Gotta admit the Fourth Reich toast and salute gave me some goosebumps when I first saw it. Like what if someone crazier than Hitler took over and somehow kept the Reich alive.
Himmler tried it by making the peace with western allies, he wanted to continue only the war on the east, obviously the Allies refused it, Hitler knew about that and ask to arrest him.
After Hitler death Himmler still tried to get a command post on the new government but Donitz after appointing him chief of army informed himself that was going to get arrested as Hitler last order.
He try to hide himself and then suicide after a month.

I like how the Nazis inexplicably spoke entirely in English when amongst themselves and their enemies. It’s any wonder we didn’t intercept and get ahead of all of their maneuvers during WWII.
I've always just imagined stuff like that as them actually speaking their native language but for ease of access we hear it as English.
