My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

For how to measure the waist, this is by far the best explanation I've seen. I've looked through a lot, the key help here was mentioning that it may not cross your belly button. This was driving me nuts, for me it's a pretty big difference with it being parallel to the ground, not slanted across my belly button. Also the midpoint was marked on the side rather then a rough squeeze with the fingers, and how I should breathe and the tension of the tape, all of it, thank you. Not sure about the ethnicity thing though, I'd think that has more to do with height, but maybe people do hold fat differently in different places.
heard also from Dr. Jason Fung that " The Rule of Thumb of a Normal Waist Size should be Half or Under Half of Our Height " but Your explanation was Excellent.. thanks Doctor
Keeping your mind occupied with tasks like housework, family, hobbies and careers and away from food is probably best having a dog that needs walks helps too. It's all psychology at the end of the day.
As a GP, I usually leave the “simple” stuff to my Diabetes nurse. But I had to do mine recently based on recent bloods. And it was shocking. Already started carb reduction plan
Hi, we're sorry to hear you have recently had this experience. Great video content! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Patlarny Escape Fat Principle (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for getting slim without exercise without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cooworker at very last got great success with it.
Nice Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you ever tried - Patlarny Escape Fat Principle (probably on Google)? It is an awesome one off guide for getting slim without exercise without the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got cool success with it.
Jyotir Aditya Maloo Just think about it. The waist is the most fleshy, skinniest part of your body. If you measure your waist, this will ensure that your pants are held somewhat tight so they don’t fall off. If you measure your hips, on the contrary, you will get a different measurement. Your pants perhaps may not fall off immediately, but when walking or running your pants will eventually go down slowly. Meaning that if you calculate your hips, your pant size will be slightly larger.
Jyotir Aditya Maloo The point of measuring your waist is to get that somewhat tightness in your pants. Because if you measure your hips, your pants will droop all the way down eventually.

Why do people always conflate South Asia and south East Asia? Including this presumably south Asian guy here. Is he talking about people from Vietnam, Thailand, etc. or India, Pakistan, etc.? Also, these absolute numbers without regards to height or lean body mass are flawed. I understand there is a real issue of diabetes and heart disease among south Asians, strongly correlated with visceral belly fat, but a measurement is relative. 35 inches assumes that all south Asian men are small boned, have little muscle mass, or are 5’10” or shorter.... which is not true

Couldn’t be clearer thanks.

Honestly, the video is a bit silly. The man didn't want to take his shirt off, so he demonstrates with a CLOTHED body? That's not how you measure!
Excellent video! You explained it very clearly. Thank you!
This was the best and clearest instruction I found. Thank you. Do you have a video on hip measurement also?

Thank you sir. Very easy to understand and informative video
What a wonderful video

a lot*
I like this guy.
What I can’t understand is I’m underweight with a low bmi but my waist to height ratio says I’m overweight! How can that be?
Cheers!
That's how simple it is
But how to tell if you're waist is getting slimmer like do the numbers go down or what?
It can either be the numbers or the weight that is going to drop.. sometimes they drop correspondingly

The only number that matters for your health is your body fat %.
waist 36.5 inch
Southeast Asian men have different number but not women 🤷♀️
this Jace over 30 years
How poor that they didn’t use the waist to height ratio rather than just a waist measurement. Look it up on RUclips.
😂 with shirt it will show 3cm more.and u talk of accuracy 😂😂😂
just look in the mirror and weep
A guy with a 38 inch waist giving advice on weight loss!
I wonder how many doctors who had specialized in studying diabetes are having diabetes. Haven't they got it all wrong?
They are surviving is real thing that they are specialized, making sure others who are not doc they would also survive
